I am not happy at all about the care my husband has been given thus far, his clothes always smell like pee or poop so that means they are not changing him enough and he has fallen 4 times so far!! In there care this to me is unacceptable!

I only write reviews when I’m either extremely pleased or extremely disappointed. I felt compelled to review my stay at AdviniaCare in Northbridge, MA. To say I’ve been extremely pleased with my short term rehabilitative stay at Advinia just doesn’t do it justice. After an ICU stay including a 10 day admission to a local hospital, was transferred to their Northbridge facility. The staff- direct care, supervisors, activities, nursing, housekeeping, PT, OT, Speech/Language Pathology, SW, facilities maintenance, dietary, nutrition, medical -are OUTSTANDING (hope I didn’t forget anyone!) Every single person I encountered was warm and professional. If they said they were going to do something-they followed through. My fellow residents were also wonderful and I had great conversations and thanks to the Activities staff, we had fun and lots of laughs. Hello everyone! I am compelled to express my gratitude to AdivianiaCare. I have been a resident for almost 2 years. In the past I have lived at a Cape Cod NH for several years and was relocated to Advinia after. In that process I have had the advantage to compare elder care services from different perspectives. And I must state, that the professionalism from staff starting from the Executive Director to the rest of that organizational staff has been so exceptional. The fact that as a resident at anytime have access to staff including the Executive Director for personal needs and concerns is amazing. From day one I was treated with dignity and respect. In addition, I personally have a say in all affairs concerning my treatment. It is indeed a very close partnership. The Activities Director and staff fill our days with joy with various activities and positive spaces to create community and even "family". Do not underestimate this because it so essential in our day to day happiness and providing a sense of belonging even with all our diversities. There is room for everyone here. From nurses, CNA's, kitchen staff and house cleaning all give me a feeling of home, something I never had and I am so grateful. Perfect? No nursing home or facility is perfect. But the core differences is the Executive Director has created a space to work out challenges and hurdles. I never worry about any issues I need to have address. I myself have worked for he Massachusetts Department of Public Health, the CDC, Health and Human Services and I am very knowledgeable the Federal CMS and guidelines for nursing homes. I am also on the board of the Governor's Commission for Elder Care. Hence, with that said, I truly applaud the organizational structure, climate of uncompromising care, and the culture that residents always come first. Thank you AdviniaCare!

I am submitting this review on behalf of Mark Ouellette who's Brother James Ouellette was at Advina care for a month before passing on December 1st. Mark was impressed with the facility and staff who provided Jim with an abundance of care and compassion. While No one wants to be in a position to have to go to rehab, Adviniacare is a fantastic facility with compassionate friendly staff.

One of my relatives is a long term patient here their experience has been amazing staff has seemed to become family. As i understand everyone has different opinions I can’t help but be happy with the way my loved one is loving this place. This review will be alittle different but feel like it needs to be said as these people don’t get the attention they deserve. The people who run the front desk are truely amazing and give the vibe I always look for when walking into a building the woman Tiffany on the weekends sets my mood for a great visit I’ve bothered her many times on the weekends when I know is the most stretch time. I’ve called many times she’s transferred me an no one has answered she’s gone above an beyond for me talking my name an number an running to the floor an making sure I get a call back. I always joke with her asking if she lives there cause she’s always there when I go on the weekends. Same with during the week Maura is amazing as well. These ladies set the mood for a great walking in experience not many will acknowledge these ladies as most all reviews are about the floors but a review had to be made about these two.

I promised I would make a review for Adviniacare in Northbridge because I have gotten to observe the skilled nursing rehabilitation facility over the past couple of months. I have noticed the staff are quite devoted and seem to genuinely care for the patients there. I have been visiting a patient there who is having a lot of troubles and I have been helping with some of those issues. Whenever we’ve had to talk it seems like it’s always during their lunch time, and I have gone afterwards to ask for a reheat on the patient’s food and they are always pleasant and compliant. The place is kept clean and the security is well thought out. But the main thing that caused me to want to give a review happened last week while I was trying to help the patient install a printer on the network. As these tech issues go, sometimes they can be such a headache and I must’ve gone thru the same installation nearly a dozen times. I nearly gave up and asked one of the nurses if they had any ideas. Well, she not only helped me trouble shoot the thing - but she stuck with it long enough to fix the problem (making myself and the patient very happy). But here’s the deal - by the nurse Ashley doing that effort (going above and beyond), she not only communicated to us that this was an important thing - but also that Adviniacare truly wants to see their patients succeed and improve and move on with their lives. I find that to be so encouraging, and I wanted the company to know that that’s the stuff that makes the difference. Happy New Year to all!

Overall, I give the facility four out of five stars. Here are the reasons. First off, the medical care from the on-hand doctors, social worker Michael and nurses is excellent, especially Sarah S. and Jessica who were often the first shift nurses on the third floor rehabilitation wing. (Most of them are willing to do anything to help you out ” even when it is not part of their job specifications.) The occupational and physical therapy department was exceptional while the individual rehabilitative care-plan for each patient was innovative, appealing, exciting, just hard enough to carry out each day and well thought out by an enthusiastic set of teachers. The place was always spotlessly clean, and the daily activities offered to patients were largely fun and engaging. Sometimes staff was short on some wing and the scheduler had to scramble to find someone with a suitable background and credentials to fill in for the missing personnel. Moreover, occasionally one has to wait a long time (more than a half hour) to get a request fulfilled as the certified nurse assistants are sometimes too busy to come and help you in a more timely fashion. Some of the meal offerings are excellent and delicious. Others involve highly processed food of the kinds highly implicated in diseases like diabetes, diverticulitis and more. So generally, it is good and sometimes not so. I was impressed that a 101 year old woman in the assisted living wing living in the nursing home was kept a close eye on such that she was brought upstairs to the rehabilitation wing for a few weeks to help her improve in walking, etc., for a spell. In summation, it is easy to note that the majority of the workers in this nursing home are very dedicated, friendly, professional and warm-hearted while striving to be as excellent as possible in their daily tasks. So in a final evaluation, I can heartily recommend this place after being there for two months while recovering from a fracture and stabilizing my blood pressure.

This is a beautiful, clean place. I am overwhelmed with joy because of the amazing care my guy is receiving. Physical therapy has been so good! Tina the life enrichment director is amazing and has a great daily activity program. We are looking forward to the future and feel blessed we got in. My guy is safe! I recently had a severe back operation. Unfortunately, I was not able to go home right away. I ended up at adviniacare Northbridge. From the minute the ambulance people wheeled me in I was greeted by so many friendly, nice staff members. They got me settled into my room. It was very clean, a little dated, but hey, the place has been a rehabilitation home since 1950, it's bound to have some wear and tear. It was late when I arrived , staff made sure that I had food to eat. People checked on me all the time. I used to go to work at 3a.m. so I'm up most of the night and would go walking to stretch my back. I was impressed at the quietness . Everyday I observed floors being washed, rooms being cleaned. The P.T. staff was great, making sure I exercised. They also have activities for the patients to get involved with, such as; trivia, puzzles and other fun games to keep you moving and thinking. Everyone is welcome to join in, if you don't you can only blame yourself. I had to press my buzzer a couple times for meds and I don't think I ever waited more than 5 minutes for someone to check on my needs. If I was asked what was the worst part of my experience I would say it was when the toilet plugged up. The t.v. could use some better channels( my opinion). On the whole, I would recouperate there again if needed. Thank you to their wonderful staff!!!!

My cousin was in the Northbridge facility for the last 6 months of her life and I could not have been more grateful to the nurses and staff. They all treated her in the most kindest manner, they always went above and beyond, and treated her like a Princess. She told all of her family how much she loved it there and how much she loved the nurses and staff. That kind of care is hard to find and we never had to worry about the care she received.

The staff at Adviniacare is absolutely amazing! They treat the residents with love, compassion, and kindness. We have been blessed to have my brother there for the last 31/2 years, and he has had the best care! They treat him like family with so much dignity and respect. He is healthy, happy, and loved!

I have nothing but positive feedback for AdviniaCare Northbridge. The facility is very clean; you can see your reflection on the polished floors and it always smells clean. The care is great, the nursing team is very compassionate and knowledgeable. Yes, they are short staffed like all businesses (especially healthcare- that’s the reality right now) but they do a nice job nonetheless. They also have a new Administrator (December 2022) and she’s very involved and communicative- she is making positive changes. I would recommend this skilled nursing facility to friends and family.

This review is for the daycare center only as I can’t speak to the rehab/ hospice care. My wife and I have been very happy with the daycare facility. My daughter loves going there and the staff is always so caring and pleasant to speak with, Lori is always very responsive. My daughter has learned so much there with there school like curriculum and schedule. We are so great full we found this daycare only a mile from our house. Thanks to all the staff who have cared for my daughter!

My experience from witnessing a patient there recently. On Friday 3/29/19 I asked for this patient to be changed as she said she was wet. Her son and grandson were visiting her as well. An hour went by and no one came. Now we are sitting in the dining hall on the 3rd floor. Her grandson pointed out that she was leaking under the wheelchair. It was urine from being so wet. Besides that I could also smell poop. I went and asked the Social Worker Danielle to please get someone to chg her. Still a good 15 minutes went by. I think that is horrible to leave someone like that in urine and poop. I am sure none of them would like to be left like that or any one of their family members. No wonder this woman has sores on her butt being there less than a week. They should be disgusted with themselves for this kind of care. I watched PT walk with her on Friday 3/29 and was promised they would work with her on stairs over the wknd by Mary from PT. That was one of the conditions to come home to get her in the house. It was not done. I was told by her friend who visited in Sunday 3/31 she was too tired so they didn't do the stairs. I get there today 4/1/19 they tell me they are discharging her. My question why the big rush?? I had called the insurance she has the coverage. The PT lady Mary came to the room and lied to my face stating I had help to get her in the house and we didn't need to work in the stairs. Its disgusting how some healthcare people treat our elders. When I went back the night of 3/29/19 the urine that she had leaked in the floor hadn't been washed up. It was dried up on the floor. Not a very clean place. I am making a complaint and in the process of doing so.

My mother is a resident at Beaumont Northbridge. She is blind and has memory challenges and trouble with mobility. In short, she requires a great deal of care and supervision.
