My Mom has been at Bedford for over a year . The owners , Dee and AK treat the residents like family. They're giving, tender hearts, recruit the most wonderful caretakers. My mom has been at other group homes, and nothing compares to the level of care she gets here . Her hair is always brushed , she is clean , her room and all the facilities are clean and Mom is happy . That is what matters the most! I cannot say enough about the fabulous staff at Bedford .

My mom was at Bedford Residences for a couple of months at the end of her life. What a God sent facility! The love, care and respect that was given to my mom is hard to find in assisted living facilities but here it was demonstrated everyday. The owner, Dee, was on site and accesible at all times. She and her staff were all very loving and knowledgeable. The small and personal care facility is spotless and well taken care of. One of my fondest memories during this difficult time was sitting with my mom in the beautiful grounds under a huge tree. I would highly recommend the Bedford Residences to anyone going through the most difficult decision of deciding where to place a loved one.

When you’re looking for a new home for your loved one, you always worry. You hear about the horror stories of neglect and abuse and the worry can literally keep you up at night. Having worked and volunteered in facilities like this, I’ve seen it firsthand. But The Bedford Residence is a rare gem. I would recommend this facility to anyone. The owner is always accessible and the staff is unmatched. My sister considered them all her family. Thank you Dee, Gemma, Princess, Jocelyn, Jasmine, April, Jessie, and the entire staff for taking such great care of my sister until her very last day with us.

The Bedford Residence provides the utmost care and concern to its residents. You want a place that shows love and kindness to your family member which is just what they did for my sister. While visiting I always received a sense of comfort and love being provided to her. Her physical and emotional needs were never overlooked. Dee and all of the staff, as well as the facility at Bedford, are simply remarkable. I learned of Dee through a referral service and was very nervous about placing my mother in such a facility. The referral service provided great counsel regarding my mothers care needs and invited me to visit with Dee. The Bedford staff made me feel incredibly relieved and confident in their care for my mother after seeing them with not only my mother, but also the other residents. Dee is a former pharmacist and understands medicine. She is also incredibly compassionate, leading her staff to care for the residents and family the same way.If you are considering a residential care facility for your elderly family, I cant imagine making a higher recommendation than to trust Dee and her staff at Bedford.

The owner and staff could not be more helpful and supported. Wonderful caregivers and Owner. Very clean. That is what really impressed me. Also bright, not dark like some care homes. Mom moved there April 2019. The caregivers are so patient and caring. Mom had dementia so her care was difficult, but they all cared for her as she was their own mother. They were very gentle with her, she also had arthritis and neuropathy in her feet. They got her up and outside sometimes and she didn’t mind it! Unlike when she was at home, she wouldn’t let us get her up much. Mom passed away there in October. I miss them, too! They were like my sisters!

I can only speak wonders of Bedford Residence. After several unsuccessful trials with my mother who has frontal lobe dementia and hard to please, Bedford Residence has been an absolute godsend. Unlike so many other living options weve looked at and tried, it is a small family-run intimate setting situated in two houses with lovely trees and outdoor space, very much like ones own back yard, and the atmosphere and care is everything I wish I could have given to my mother myself. There are around just sixteen residents which allows for exceptional service. The dedicated management and staff pay attention to my mothers every need, and my mother who is very picky only speaks most highly of them. My mothers health and morale has more than improved since being there. She is stronger, has a huge appetite and is much more sociable than when she was living at home. Not only does Bedford Residence have wonderful staff on site, they have a great network of physicians, nurses and physiotherapist, also hairdresser and manicurist, who come on a regular basis. The staff pay attention to my mothers every need, likes and dislikes, and have exceeded my expectations in accommodating and caring for her. And, so important, the all-inclusive monthly fee is fair and square.

Our family cannot say ENOUGH good things about Bedford Residence, its staff and especially its owners. Our father was diagnosed with ALS and dementia a few years ago. At first he was in his own home with care givers. As his illness progressed and care went to 24 hours, day we were overwhelmed by managing a round the clock staff that had to be watched like a hawk to insure his basic needs were being met. We decided it was time to move him to a full care facility. The home we chose was very expensive and boasted their around the clock care. It took them less than four months to cost him his mobility and nearly kill him. He was routinely left in soiled clothes and bathed barely once per week. He was also not given his medications (they stole them) and he was barely fed or given any water to drink. It was a nightmare. He spent four months recovering in a hospital. We were told by more than one person to try Bedford. We went to them and told them of our experiences and how our father had been treated. We were very nervous about trusting anyone again so we asked a lot of questions. At that time, because of the neglect he had been shown he was given about 6 months to live. After meeting the owner, his wife and the entire staff on more than one occasion we decided to move Dad there. Today he is thriving and is daily given so much detailed care and love. I can show up anytime day or night to find him bathed and fed and smiling. They take great care to keep him entertained and moving around the property so he does not sit in his bed all day. He is rarely more than 4 feet from someone unless he is sleeping. His meds and treatments are spot on. The one time he had some medical issues the owner was on the phone to us and taking care of the situation immediately. They treat him like he is their own father. That goes for the smallest staff member to the owners. We have been beyond blessed to find these incredible people. Our lives have been forever altered by this illness and the impending loss of our father. Due to his excellent care, on his last check up the doctors said he likely will survive years, not months. We are so grateful all of you at the Bedford for giving us our lives back and our father back. We plan to keep him there as long as God permits. Thank you to Dee and Akash! We are very pleased with the quality of care our loved one has received at Bedford. The caregivers are very diligent and loving in their attention to the individual needs of each resident and are most conscientious about their health, cleanliness, and safety. Under new ownership the facility has been redecorated and the decor is lovely.
