I'm living here for 2 years. I moved in on January 17 2022. I love living here. Great staff and CNA's and kitchen and dinning staff are very knowledgeable. Lots of activities. Management is very helpful. I highly recommend Heritage Woods of Rockford Assisted Living facility of Rockford Illinois.

Our family is very happy with our father’s care from the nursing staff (as needed), the individualized attention to involve him in a variety of activities, and guidance from the administrative staff re: financial aspects during his transition to Heritage Woods five months ago. Downsizing to smaller accommodations is always an adjustment, and he now seems content with the ease of his new lifestyle. He looks forward to mealtime in the Dining Room as an opportunity to share common interests with others while eating. As expected, there was an adjustment period of a few months, but he is now participating in activities that interest him. He particularly enjoyed the Rockford Christian Fellowship Band playing at the facility and the outing to the Veteran’s Memorial Hall. The activity opportunities are wonderful; having a van provided by the facility is a big plus. Thank you, Heritage Woods staff, for all you continue to do for the residents!

My mom has been a ResidentAy Heritage Woods in Rockford for approximately three years now, I’m a native of Rockford and a volunteer in the community. My volunteer work has me in and out of facilities like Heritage Woods of Rockford. Nothing comes close to Heritage Woods of Rockford and it’s not just the beauty of the inside and outside of the building, (which is beyond compare in our market) It’s the people. Shannon the activity director pours herself into her job every single day. The back of the house is extremely organized with Michelle at the helm. The head chef ( who is always smiling)is crazy talented ( my mom was a fabulous cook her whole life, and enjoys every meal she has there in the gorgeous dinning room. Patty runs the front of the front of the house and knows each resident by name, including the glasses they wear, so should I get misplaced Patty can return them to the proper owner. The CNA’s, and there are so many and I’m talking on any given shift there are ample CNAs to take care of all of the residents, are delightful. It’s easy to tell they want to be thereMy mom has everything she wants and needs, and it gives her a sense of well-being knowing she can live independently and securely. That wouldn’t be possible without Heritage Woods of Rockford We put my mom on a waiting list to get in to Heritage Woods of Rockford, and we learned very quickly after we moved her in that the statement , Good things come to those who wait is true

I have been the activity director here for 6 years, I honestly feel that this is the BEST affordable assistant living community in the area! Everyone works hard to provide an active healthy community for our residents, we are one big family! It gives us all great joy to make our residents happy! I would highly recommend Heritage Woods of Rockford to all my friends and family members.

My mother has been at Heritage Woods for over 4 year. I have no worries about how she is treated there. She has lots of friends and the staff is friendly and caring. Lots of activities and mom loves it there. 90 never looked so good.

Its hard to believe it has just been one week since the craziness of moving mom in 48 hours! In that time, she has enjoyed every delicious meal in the community dining room, she has attended an exercise session each day, has visited the on-site country store, found all of the common areas, and, according to the caremerge app - she has signed up for a number of events... who is this woman? She has met so many of the lovely staff and an impressive number of the residents. I call her daily and barely get a word in she is so full of news.Today is the big June Birthday Party for everyone in the building - ice cream and cake with live entertainment. I am looking forward to visiting again tomorrow to shadow her using the laundry room for the first time, and I will be joining her for lunch (yum). If shes up for it after I leave, there is a movie and snack every Saturday Night for the residents. She is looking forward to a church service by Pastor Morrison every Wednesday night and alternate Sundays, and we have also talked about checking out Tuesday Night Scrabble... but those may both need to wait a week or two while she builds up her stamina! If thats not enough to keep her busy, the activity coordinator plans ice cream socials, special demonstrations, games, crafts, matinees, piano players, story times, bible studies, trips to stores, trivia, live entertainment, and other special events. And I absolutely intend to visit the next time the Baking Buddies sell their home-made (baked in the community kitchen) goodies..sweet treats + proceeds to cancer research = #winning !Each day, mom is visited by a CNA in the morning followed by a quick head in the bed check at night. Housekeeping comes once a week to clean her apartment. She has opted out of laundry service, she prefers to do her own, and she can do so just a couple doors down in a lovely laundry room. She can even get her hair did at the lovely on-site beauty salon! When shes done, she can find herself a good read at the lending library.Edited to Add: Well, mom overdid it that first week and had a bit of a set back. She ended up needing some physical therapy to get her body use to all that new movement. The silver lining is that HW has in-house physical therapy, and she will soon be on her way to regaining that initial level of participation.It is incredible, and I am very excited to see such a renewal of moms energy and enthusiasm. Heritage Woods of Rockford has been the blessing we have been praying for, and I am so thankful we have become a part of this community!

My mother moved in to Heritage Woods about 1 year ago on January 20, 2016. She LOVES it and truly feels like it is her home. She has made many friends there and enjoys Bingo and Music and other social events. The staff is unbelievable and I sincerely mean that. They really work hard at helping the residents feel happy and safe. I would recommend Heritage Woods to anyone looking for assisted care facilities. THANK YOU EVERYONE at Heritage.

Heritage Woods of Rockford bring dignity, Security and companionship to the residents. This wonderful facility allows the elderly to call their home. My dad, a recent widower, was alone and HW of Rockford with all their Programs helped him adjust. Dad is now Mr. Social among the residents.The staff is AMAZING. God Bless you all.

I often joke Ive been here since dirt as I started working here while the building was still under construction. Aftere all the years and the many faces, I cant express how grateful I am to be part of this community. Its such an honor to be able to work with seniors regardless of their finances. I am blessed!
