I looked at a number of assisted living places for my mom and feel so fortunate to find Victory Centre. It's such a lovely facility, the staff is wonderful, and they have a lot of activities to keep residents engaged and make friends. My mom has been there about 9 months and she's settled in very well. It makes me so comfortable to know that my mom is safe, getting excellent care, and having some fun along the way. I highly recommend and am forever grateful for Victory Centre!

Very happy with this facility. Staff, management and intake specialist , GiGi, are all wonderful. My mom can't say anything but great words about the food and choices. This place came highly recommended from friends.

From the time you enter the facility you get a very wsrm homey feeling. This feeling remains in the pictures and decorations that are throughout the facility.. The food is very tasty and varied.

Where to start? That is a good way to start this review, because it is where most people find themselves when faced with an aging parent that can no longer care for themselves. I happened to be very fortunate because I started with Germania Pagan "Gi Gi", at Victory Center of Vernon Hills. An amazing woman who assisted me through all of the difficult issues of how to care for an aging loved one and find them a new home with caring people to see to their needs. From walking me through the community to introduce me to a host of incredible caring people, to walking me through the myriad of paperwork needed to initiate this process, she was there. Gi Gi made the process so much easier by assisting me with navigating through everything needed to find a place that I could feel comfortable knowing my Mom would be very well cared for. Thank you Germania. Thank you to the staff at Victory Center. You are all truly a God send.

My Mother moved into the Supportive Care section of Victory Centre Vernon Hills a couple of months ago, and this far her/my experience has been fantastic. The building is kept very clean and has great accessibility (both inside and to nearby shopping/amenities). It affords her independence, while still receiving the necessary support (medical, cleaning, hygiene, etc.). The staff is all friendly and goes out of their way to help. They actively encourage and aid new residents in making friends and feeling welcome. Food served in the dining room is also excellent quality. The admissions process was was aided by the helpful and attentive Management Team. They were proactive in ensuring we had all necessary documents in order prior to the move in date. I've already recommended Victory Centre Vernon Hills to several people with family members in need of supportive care.

I had the pleasure of visiting with a dear friend of our family who lives here. She is very happy with her new home and couldn't wait to show me around. I was introduced to the Executive Director Jennifer, she was lovely and welcoming. I had the best feeling while spending time at Victory Center. The staff was friendly and I observed how kind they were to the residents. I truly look forward to my next visit.

My sisters took a tour of this place and said Kelsey helped them, very nice clean place, Staff seemed very nice polite. We only wish my dad can get a place there but the wait at this time is 6-8 months. Gave only 4 stars cause don't know what the living conditions would really be since my dad is not living there

Can not be any happier with VC of Vernon Hills. My Father have been with the center since Aug of the year they opened (almost 9 yrs) and loves his home and all the employees. Very caring and always on top of everything. A BIG THANK YOU to the all Nurses, LEA's and Aileen B for great, fast, response and taking such good care of our loved ones. THANK YOU again for all you guys do hope to be back in the building as soon as all the Covid madness is over.

The Victory Center is a wonderful supportive living facility conveniently located in Vernon Hills. The senior staff (Kelsey Burbank and Rina Davis) are very competent and knowledgeable in helping with the Medicaid paperwork for admission, but they also continue their efficient service even after admittance into the facility. All the staff who provide daily service to my sister have also been efficient, kind and take time to deal with any issues that my sister may encounter. The facility is ultra clean and follows strict COVID protocols. Importantly, Veronica Rudychev (Executive Director) keeps family members, timely and well informed on any COVID issues that might develop. My sister is very happy and very comfortable at the facility. I would strongly recommend Victory Center to any family that needs to find a supportive living facility for a family member.

IS THERE WIFI THROUGHOUT BLDG AND APTS? Also.is APTS for sr supportive living. After 14 DAY QUARANTINE my friend Marie needs to walk around bldg a little - is this possible with MASK on. I worry about her. Close friends since 1996.

My mom going into assisted living was a very hard decision for me, It hurt me, I was worried about Will mom like it, and what kind of care she would get. And worrying about her being there instead of with me,however victory is a very nice place they’ve been caring for her and it’s been safe for her over this Scary epidemic. It’s nice to know that she’s in a nice place and that they take real good care of her there. She’s happy there and getting the help that she needs...I like the People that work there I feel that my mother is in a very safe place that takes precedence over everything else. My mother has been a resident of Victory Centre for the past year. We resarched various assisted and supportive living facilities in the area, and are so pleased we decided on Victory Centre. The building is clean, and the atmosphere promotes socialization. My mom has made new friends, eats in the dining room, and engages in activities. She can see people, visit the salon, and make appointment with doctors, without needing to leave the property. I feel so comfortable I bring my granddaughters there for visits, as well as my small dog. Mom has her own efficiency apartment, allowing her independence and privacy. Most importantly, my mother’s needs are being met by a very friendly and competent staff. Jeff Altschul, administrator, knows all of the residents by name. He took the time to learn about my mom’s life, family, and interests to help her ease into a new environment. Recently my mother had to be hospitalized. Jeff and other members of the staff have shown a genuine concern for my mother. They have even visited her and assured her everyone is looking forward to her return. It gives us great comfort to know that Mom will have increased services, therapy and support when she returns and continues to recuperate at Victory Centre. If you are considering supportive living as an option for an aging family member I highly recommend you visit Victory Center.

My family researched and visited many supportive living facilities in the metro area, and we ultimately chose Victory Centre of Vernon Hills. The staff were all genuinely friendly and helpful, from the executives to the housekeeping staff to the maintenance crew, the Viva! program demonstrates commitment to living fully, rather than just existing, and the building itself is only five years old and sparkles from top to bottom. We all agreed this facility and staff were superior to the other options we had considered. And when we brought my Mom in for a tour, one of the residents actually invited us all into her apartment so my Mom could see what a room would look like with furnishings! Mom's been living at Victory Centre for 9 months and we haven't regretted our choice. The staff treats her so kindly and respectfully, and they really care about her. There were some minor issues with the medication administration, but overall Victory Centre has exceeded our expectations and we are very happy with our decision. I only wish we had moved Mom in sooner!

Victory Centre has been an amazing experience and opportunity for my mom. She has expressed continually just how much she loves the staff and facility. I have felt so much comfort in knowing that she can still maintain a lot of independence while having the security and support that she needs at this stage in her life. The location offers lots of opportunity for her to enjoy herself. There is a public library next door where she can find books, movies and television shows to check out for entertainment. There is also a Walgreens, Target and Starbucks all in walking distance. In addition to that, there are restaurants nearby we can take her too and an eye doctor and a dentist that she can walk to. My mom can still do the things she needs and wants to do each day. The transition has been very smooth for her and she maintains a high quality of life due to Victory.

Senior supportive living at its best. Very clean and professional building. Don't go anywhere else if you need put you elderly parents in a nursing facility. Try them and you will not be disappointed! 11/12/2013... Place is full of problems with not being able to keep up with elderly needs. Just recently is under new management and yeah caused my dear mom go into the hospital due to lack of attention where my mom complained of stomach pain. I guess places like these just flaunt about how nicely sugar coated they seem and take your elderly parent's social security. Looks i am the only one reporting issues? Anyone have their parents there please post your concerns.... Stay tuned for more reports 02/26/2014.. again my dear mom had been sent to the hospital and she is not the only one. There seems to be a problem with lack of attention and I have to be always calling in to check up on things for my mom. The nursing staff are despotic at times not able to care for all the residents there is not acceptable. 10/16/2014 Removed my mom out of Victory Centre due to liver cirrhosis passed away on 10/23/2014 at my home. She complained of taking her meds was advised by the RN there said take them all at once. I am not blaming no one but from experience, take care of your parents on your own is a challenge but worth it unlike letting someone take care of them for you. RIP momma.
