I have been here 3 years at The Forum. When I first moved I didn’t want to be here, but after a week I loved it here. I settled into independent living met lots of nice people. Participated in lots of activities. As my health declined I have moved to assisted living. I enjoy having the help when needed. The caregivers and nurses are all nice .

When my son and I took our first complete tour of the Forum with Ashley, every staff member , and every resident looked at us directly, the eyes connected, and smiled. That made my heart sing. One of my best experiences, was that Ashley honored my request for my new apartment to be near pathways, so that I could see people walking and talking. I did not want to feel isolated. I'm now settled on the first floor, I'm no longer isolated, all the residents in my building and others have introduced themselves, they are my new friends. There are many activities offered every day to choose from. Benefiting our brains and our bodies. From reading, cards, swimming and drumming and more.

My husband was in the memory care unit for almost a year before he passed. Taijuanna the director is incredible as well as her team, the nurses and medication aides! They are all compassionate ,caring, respectful ,and loving to the residents. Very knowledgeable too! They had many activities. The food was excellent. The other disciplines, housekeeping, maintenance, and dietary were also kind and respectful to the residents and did a good job . It never felt like and institution! The staff ,the residents, and families all interacted it felt like you were in a loving home. That was very important to me. I was a long term care nurse many years! I feel I know what constitutes a good facility! The Forum is a wonderful facility. I feel God blessed us when we found the Forum! My Bob grew to love the staff and so did our family! We will be forever grateful to them!

We have had the best experience in selecting a new home for my mom to live. Cynthia Barnosky has been absolutely fantastic to work with! She made us comfortable with the whole process from showing us around the property to helping us find the apartment that fit Mom the best. We really cannot speak highly enough about her and the whole process. You can really tell that you are in good place when everyone you pass in the hallway has a smile on their face!

My husband and I have a lengthy relationship with The Forum. Beginning in 2016, my parents-in-law moved into this community. They were in two separate buildings as their care differed. Over time it was a pleasure to recommend The Forum to anyone who would listen. Our dentist actually helped his newly widowed mother to make a move to Independent Living. She has been there since 2019. Plusses of The Forum at the Woodlands are: 1. Convenience of the location to anyone living in or near The Woodlands, 2. This is as close to a continuous care facility available in The Woodlands, with Independent Living (IL) cottages, to apartments, to Assisted Living (AL) at two levels of need, AND a memory care option on campus. 3. Windsong is an ON Site home health care business that is STELLAR in it's own right, 4. A privately owned physical therapy department has space at this facility to meet the needs of residents requiring PT, 5. There is a full service hair salon on campus, 6. There are many activities, field trips etc. to choose from, 7. Transportation is available to residents by reservation, 8. The newly redecorated dining room for Independent Living has continuous quality control, 9. The property itself is beautiful and maintenance is ongoing and prompt when called, and 10. Most respected of all is the longevity of many staff members at all levels of management. My father has lived on this property since 2022. I know MANY of the staff and am recognized by them. They PAY ATTENTION. Frank is the current manager and the property has never looked better nor felt better since his arrival over a year ago. His personal attention to his staff, residents and their families has built a team at The Forum that cannot be found at any other local facility. Believe me I have been in or near all of them. The feeling of living in a small town rather than a "facility" cannot be overstated. Thank you for your patience reading this missive. I do need to note: The property IS dated. The remodeling of the facility has happened in phases. It is easy to get caught up in the beautiful new "fancy" facilities available in and near The Woodlands. I am sure they are wonderful. Our family needs required thinking through life plans where spouses do not age at the same rate. The Forum staff works to keep residents and family members connected even when the residents are in separate buildings on the property. Frank has created, maintained and is enhancing the "Circle of Life" omnipresent at The Forum at the Woodlands.

My dad lived out his final days at The Forum at The Woodlands. Although he was not there long, he was treated with dignity and respect. The staff and management went above and beyond to help welcome him into the community. As the child of an aging parent, when the decision is made to move a loved one, you want him or her to feel accepted into the new community. The Forum at The Woodlands did an amazing job making sure he felt welcome, made friends and never ate alone. I would not hesitate putting my loved one in The Forum. Frank Taylor and his staff are amazing!!

To anyone considering assisted living facilities definitely look into The Forum at The Woodlands. The Forum was great from the get go…The Forum grounds are heavenly and you feel like you are living at Golden Pond..the movie..there are live turtles and beautiful ducks , a gazebo with a pier over the water with a beautiful fountain in the middle..a walking bridge over the river..just so peaceful and clean. Now, for the staff…my mum lives in building 5 and I have to say I look forward to visiting her…that way I get to see all the medical girls and my eyes light up from their energy, love and hugs..they are all like family..Stephanie, Nina, Amy, Sharell, Jo, Marie, Rosario..Lisa…Rosie at the front desk, Theresa the activities manager..I get love and support from them all . Just recently Nina called me to let me know my mum was not well..she thought my mum had a Urinary Tract Infection and she was right..because she and the other girls know my mum so well they were able to immediately recognize my mum needed to go to the hospital…how cool is that? Nina and Sharell helped me get a wheelchair and actually helped me get my mum into the car. Knowing your parent is safe , happy and cared for is priceless. Now for the building 5 head nurse, Ada Hughlett ..she has been a life saver and such a support which I need because my mother and I have no family in Texas. Ada Hughlett managed the care of all the residents during Covid which was no easy task although she made it seem easy..Ada is always approachable , will sit and listen to your questions…and be ready with a smile. I know for certain I could not be serene without all of the support, smiles and hugs I receive when I go to visit my Mum..All the staff , and I mean all ..the maintenance men, the activities managers, the medical techs in blue..the dining room staff give 110%..,and they do it all with a smile! I give the staff in building 5 ten stars…thank you to all of you !

Helping a parent into assisted living is a tough task on every conceivable level. Thankfully, the Forum's Cynthia Barnosky has been a huge help to our family in every aspect. We've had a gazillion questions throughout the process, and she has always taken the time to respond promptly and thoroughly. You can't pay for the peace of mind that kind of personal attention provides.

January 2024
We moved into the Forum in Late October to be close to our oldest son and his wife to assist in caring for my Wife who has Vascular Dementia. We have found a wonderful place to live and enjoy all of the Forums' services including a wonderful food service facility.. The Staff throughout the Forum are outstanding and extremely helpful to our needs. Would highly recommend the Forum to anyone that is looking for a retirement community that can provide a wide range of assistance for senior living.

When I realized that my brother needed to be in an enriching independent living community located near my husband and I in The Woodlands, I was so happy that there was an available apartment for him at The Forum. He has now been there for three weeks. The warm reception from his fellow residents and the staff has made all the difference in making him feel at home. Quite surprisingly he has met people where they have discovered they have had mutual friends. Marianna Hendricks

My dad recently moved in. It was a very difficult decision as a family, but the experience has been wonderful. I'm so glad I found this place for my dad. The staff has been more than accommodating. I highly recommend the forum for your family too.

I needed to relocate to The Woodlands to be closer to my family. The staff here at The Forum worked quickly and efficiently to help me find my new, wonderful apartment. Everyone here has been so welcoming and there is a wide range of activites within the community to keep the residents active and engaged.

I'm very pleased with The Forum where I am living. The staff and residents are very nice. I like everything about it!
September 2023
I just want to thank everybody at The Forum (especially Ada, all the nurses, and the care workers) for taking care of my mom. They went through a lot, including the pandemic, with grace and good humor. When my mother got more infirm and couldn't take care of herself, I could rely on them to provide the care that she needed.
August 2023
One of the most only 5 star communities of this type ,on I believe 23 acres with all the eminities you can imagine and it's all inclusive
June 2023
This is a decent place live - safe and clean. However, just coming here to vent bc the internet and TV has been out for going on 4 weeks. They have a vendor who doesn’t show up and when they finally do, they cannot fix the problem. They do give daily updates (now) bc they had to quit taking phone calls about the issue. The updates state how the vendor was or wasn’t on site that day and usually that they didn’t have the correct parts. We have been super patient but in the Woodlands Texas in 2023 this is unacceptable. We pay a lot to live here. (Don’t let them sell you on the fact that they provide basic cable bc when it doesn’t work they will tell you it’s not in the contract)

The Forum has the best resident care and services. The leadership staff goes above and beyond for their residents.
April 2022
The Forum at The Woodlands is a hidden gem for seniors. It has such a peaceful, laid back and welcoming feel about it. I love their front desk staff who are always smiling and helpful. The executive director is a super nice guy who seems to have genuine concern for the residents and his staff. Jessie and her team in marketing go out of their way to help new residents learn the community and explain what they have to offer. The ladies in activities are always busy with the residents. The layout of the property with the duck pond and gazebo make it a really pleasant environment. Everyone always seems very happy when I’m there.
April 2022
I recently visited The Forum. From the moment I drove in, the first thing I noticed was the beautiful trees. When I saw the water fountain in the surrounding lake, I felt right at home. I met a few staff members and they were all very friendly and welcoming. A few other things I liked are the convenience of the mall and restaurants, and the wooded area which is very private and relaxing.

I recently moved my uncle from a new, shiny senior living facility in Clearlake. The care in Clearlake was wonderful. However, it felt institutional. It doesn’t hold a candle to the warm, homey environment of The Forum. At the Forum, the residents have an association, make decisions, work at the library, etc. Brilliant! Their streets (halls) allow for personalization, decorations and warmth. It is a pleasure and therapeutic to walk around the grounds and see the ducks, ponds and trees. My uncle has enjoyed his covered walks outdoors. They have moved to buffet style as they are short staffed after Covid, but the meals have been delicious. And, dining with a view of a pond (and a screened dining porch overlooking the pond) is outstanding! I am grateful for The Forum and their staff. I highly recommend and feel grateful for The Forum!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Forum! My father has lived in all levels offered at the Forum over the past 5 years from independent living to high level assistance required and every bit of it has been exceptional. The staff is what sets this facility apart from the rest. They are truly the gold standard!
