Jennie Dye, Becky Woods, Sierra Bostic and Jessica McGlothlin have truly been a blessing for my family. While my dad was at Commonwealth he was well cared for by the incredible staff. So many of the staff became family while we were there. The care and concern with which they handle their patients was truly appreciated. Like every facility of its kind, they could use more hands to ease the load on the current staff but I was impressed with how much heart they put into their jobs.It’s a thankless job at the end of the day and not a high paying job. Kudos to the hardworking crew at Commonwealth!

The workers,Jeanie and Becky on the memory care side of Commonwealth in Cedar Bluff,Va. took care of my Mom,Maggie Pruett from August of 2021 till Mom passed away in July of 2025. They were good to help Mom every day,they worked. They would get anything that I asked them to get for my Mom. Jeanie would let me call her cell,to check on Mom,when the phone line was busy.

The staff are all so nice and helpful. Hunter and Ethan are both so helpful with anything the residents need. Hope does a great job with activities to keep them engaged and Zeda is so kind and personable. Would recommend to anyone needing help with their loved one.

My mom and dad moved to Commonwealth senior living in July 2025. My dad was 92 and we needed help with him and mom moved with him. Dad died in October and my mom was so happy living there that she decided to stay. She is so happy there because of the love and care she gets from all the girls . I am also very happy with her living there and I know she is very well cared for and about by all the staff. Mom and I have had great experiences with everyone there. I highly recommend Commonwealth senior living for any family that needs help for their aging family member.

My family stayed here and we were very pleased with their care. So glad that Hunter was there to check in on them and make them feel at home. Ethan was always so nice as well as Zeda. Hope keeps activities going and the residents like having things to do to have fun. Very nice facility.

My mother has been at Commonwealth almost two years. Her place there has been a true blessing to our family. My mom can be very difficult at times, and I want to to make a special mention of a few staff that go above and beyond to care for not only her but for ALL of the residents: Zeda Blanton-She is always on the go helping residents while I am there. She is the only one who can bath my mom without too much of a fuss. She is a true blessing to the ones who call Commonwealth home. Patsy Osborne-She is so kind and considerate to each person living there. She is always willing to help with whatever the task or job may be. I often hear the residents refer to Zeda and Patsy as the dream team. Ryleigh-She is always welcoming with a smile on her face and an update on how my mother is doing. Tracy-She is the cook who takes pride in the food she serves to the residents. She loves interacting with the residents and you can tell they adore her. She also goes the extra mile to check on them if they are not at the table during meal times. Hunter-He helps with activities and you can see the passion he has for the job he does. It is very obvious that the residents adore him just by watching how they interact with him. He has always been so patient and kind to them. Jasmine and Amanda-Med Techs who are willing to take the time to explain any changes with mom's behavior or health. They are both willing to also help mom with other needs she has. There are others that I do know their names- the lady who makes a special effort to engage mom in games she enjoys (maybe the PT) and some of the new direct care workers who go the extra mile to help mom when she gets frustrated or upset with changes.

My grandmother is a resident at Commonwealth Senior Living, and I truly cannot say enough about the care she receives there. She can be a little strong-willed (to put it lightly), but the staff treat her with such patience, kindness, and genuine love. That alone means everything to our family. My mother-in-law is a resident in the memory care unit. I’m always greeted with a smile and a hello from Riley at the front desk. When entering the residents area each staff member always speaks and are ready to help with whatever the need might be. Jessica, Rebecca and Sierra are the 3 I see most often. They are friendly, caring and compassionate. I am so glad Nellie has a staff that treats her with love and respect.

We enjoy the time we spend there with the staff, residents and families. I have a family member in the facility, and the family events are especially appreciated.

We have been extremely pleased with our experience with CSL-Cedar Bluff. Ethan made the transition process flow so smoothly. He answered all of our questions and eased all of our fears. He had everything ready and set up when we checked our MIL into her new home. I say home, because this place has welcomed her and made her feel special. Everyone that we have encountered has tried to pay attention to the details and work with the special needs my MIL struggles with. I VERY highly recommend this facility!

I am very pleased so far with the care my Mother is receiving, she just moved in a week ago. Ryan and Ethan were wonderful in helping on move in day. They both jumped right in and helped get things moved in to her room and got her curtains and TV put up right away. The staff have been very pleasant and easy to work with.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I always enjoy their readiness to keep me informed about my wife’s health and help to her since she became a resident there the 18th of January this year. Since I’ve been there almost every day the staff and I are on a first name basis. Even some of the residents know my name and want to talk to me. This has made me appreciate the Staff who have been gifted to work with those residents and their families. I always feel at home with them all. This has been especially true for the last several weeks as all the staff has been so helpful since the Alzheimer's Disease has been dramatically progressing. Thank you and blessings from the Lord to all.

I am pleased with the care my family member is receiving. During my visit, the food was well prepared and personalized to meet the needs of my family member. The staff was quick to respond with kindness to the patients. It was clean, and the outside patio area was very nice. I am glad to see a sign-in kiosk for security reasons. This is a wonderful addition since my grandmother resided there 5 years ago. It was easy to sign in and out. I felt it was a clean, safe, and caring environment for residents. Good job!

WARNING. WARNING. WARNING. If you love your family members at all, DO NOT allow them to be mistreated by sticking them in Commonwealth in Cedar Bluff. They have a history of negligence, giving wrong medications, and losing patients by not watching them. The administrators know of all wrong doings and cover every thing up. All they want is your family’s hard earned money. They sure don’t care about them.
