Our mother was a resident of Golden Pond Assisted Living Center for a little over five years. We felt fortunate with her being at Golden Pond as the facility adapted to her changing needs with assistance. It was a comfort knowing that our mom was in good hands, especially with the attention of the staff. Our mom recently passed away with a week of rapidly declining health. During that period, Golden Pond staff, that attended to our mom over the years, came by to pay their respects and say a goodbye. It was touching to see that our mom was more than just a resident at Golden Pond; she was part of a family with her caretakers. Golden Pond was also very receptive to our family’s needs during that emotional week. We offer a heartfelt thanks to Golden Pond Assisted Living Center for the care of our mom and support of our family. John Arms

I've had my loved one at Golden Pond since Nov. 2021 and am so thankful that I found Golden Pond! My LO has FTD and this is one of very few places that opened their doors to him and treat him with kindness and compassion! They understand the behaviors that come with FTD, their staff are trained. I highly recommend Golden Pond. My LO is treated like family there and I am so very, very grateful!

My dad has been living at Golden Pond since last August (2023). We could not be happier with the quality of care dad is receiving. The entire staff has welcomed dad into the Golden Pond family. Everyone from management, to nursing and wellness, to the aides; and dining staff have been so attentive to dad's needs and our family needs. Everyday Golden Pond staff help us help dad navigate this stage of life making this chapter in dad's life purposeful. We are so thankful we found dad a home at Golden Pond.

My brother has been a resident at Golden Pond for almost 8 years. During his time there he has been treated with kindness and respect. The director Lisa Jacobs has gone beyond what was expected to make sure that he was well cared for.

I have been very pleased with the staff and facilities since I moved my wife into Golden Pond in Hopkinton 16 months ago. All of the staff, from the top down, know my wife and always greet her with a smile. They treat both my wife and my whole family with caring and respect. They are also very attentive to our needs and requests. I could not be more pleased and feel lucky to have found such a "Golden" place.

Don't listen to the bad reviews! GOLDEN POND IS PRETTY GREAT !!! There will always be issues but remember there are many sides to every story. It takes a village. We have struggled on and off settling into a new environment but over all are extremely happy at Golden Pond 🙂 My 89 year old Mother In Law is non ambulatory handicapped and has been a resident at Golden Pond since Jan. '21. We feel it's time to give GP their 6 mth review 🙂 As with any new residence, plus add in the elderly handicapped factor, we have had our share of challenges and more than a few bumps. However GP has been beside us every step of the way. When we tell them we are unhappy for any reason they immediately do their best to make things right. When we tell them we are happy they don't gloat and then back down on care or services they simply say "that's the way it should always be". The facility and landscaping are gorgeous. Time and attention to detail make everything pleasing to the eye inside and outside year round. The other residents are friendly, engage with each other and seem happy. Lisa Jacobs has gone above and beyond her job description as Chief Operating Officer in helping to onboard my MIL. From making sure the apartment we chose was handicapped accessible before she moved in to even accompanying us to a dentist visit! Lisa wanted to be the one to transfer my MIL from wheelchair to dentist chair and back. Lisa knew this was worrying my MIL more than the tooth extraction and wanted to ease her anxiety. How incredible is that! Lisa is an advocate for every one of her residents at GP. We feel we are so lucky to have a Nurse experienced in Elder Care that's Chief Officer, Director, watching over GP and my MIL. She's involved in every aspect of care and is integral in the continuity at GP. Brad Rolph the Associate Executive Director is easy to talk to and always strives to make things right however he can. The Aids and Staff are also wonderful. We moved from an Assisted Living Facility in FL after a family tragedy and the Aids here have made the transition easier than we expected. Lots of new people, new routines and a new building to figure out but there's always someone to help and always with a big genuine smile on their face. My MIL feels liked, well cared for and well tended too. Special shout outs go to Grace, who treats my MIL like her own Mother, as well as Marie, Helena, Maria, Shirley and Iris. You all make my MIL feel special and loved wether she's on your rounds or not. When you are wheelchair bound and non ambulatory it makes a difference when someone treats you with dignity. These women do that and more and we appreciate it very much. Vikki, Head of Wellness, is a lifeline for us. She is easy to reach, quick to respond and is a constant positive friendly presence at GP. Mimi one of her nurses is a favorite of ours. Robin, the in house Social Worker, is beyond fabulous and treats my MIL as a very dear friend. Sometimes Robin visits "just because I like her" and my MIL feels treasured by her. The musical entertainment by Rob the new Activities Director is incredible. I look forward to his weekly "concerts" myself! Larry the Head of Dining offers a varied tasty menu and mixes it up with monthly cooking classes, themed cook outs and omelet/carving stations. He's made it possible for us to dine privately with my MIL, which she loves, and he's helping her make healthy choices when in the dining room. Reception desk. Do you want something done or need someone or something found? Dorine, Sue, Charlene, Lisa and others at the desk will make it happen! Housekeeping works extremely hard and it shows The interior of GP and my MIL's apartment are both always very clean. Everything always smells nice too. The fresh flowers on the lobby table are lush and inviting. Maintenance sorry I don't have your names because you fix whatever has to be done ASAP. Never have had to ask twice for anything. Grounds are kept up beautifully and we're constantly amazed at the new growth and color that surrounds the property. Happy we're here!

I toured this community for care. The staff was nice and they were able to answer the questions we wanted a different layout for my mom to be able to get around. The menu was appealing and the activities would have been helpful. We liked this community and would suggest this for good care and options for loved ones.

Suzy And Mom's Little Dog

My mother is currently living at Compass at Hopkinton in MA. She has severe Dementia, but still recognizes me and my 2 sisters. Since this is all new to me, (I know very little about Dementia) I do not have anything to compare it to. The direct care staff are all very nice, the admin staff are also nice. The residents are well cared for, fed, bathed, dressed, and changed when necessary. Daily activities vary, and my mother dislikes many of the activities, but that is the nature of Dementia. The dining/living area is sunny, and very pleasant. Everyone has their own bedroom, furnished with their own things and decorated with their own paintings/ old photographs, etc. there are 2 bedrooms per suite, with a shared bathroom between them. For my Mom, this is the most ideal situation out there, as she cannot sleep with another person in her room. Floors are mopped frequently, and staff do all the laundry, and make everyone's bed, and tidy their rooms, for those unable to do it themselves. Hallways are wide enough to allow people using "walkers" and wheelchairs to come and go with little difficulty. A hair salon is located in the building, as well as the physical therapy department. The grounds are pretty, wooded, with a small pond that kids skate on in the winter, my Mom loves to watch that from the huge picture window. family and friends are able to visit and take their family member out at any time without making arrangements first, the staff is very flexible about this, which I think is just great. I also am able to bring my Mom's dog to visit her, which makes her , as well as her dog, very happy. This is a locked unit on the 3rd floor of a very pretty building. I looked at 3 or 4 other places, nothing is "perfect", but Compass at Hopkinton meets all of our needs quite nicely.
