We have been very happy since my parents moved to The Bristal two years ago. After staying with my father for a couple of weeks due to the passing of my mom, I got to see how genuine their level of care truly is. Everyone there seemed to show true compassion about my mom and an increase level of attentiveness and support to my dad. I would like to specifically mention Candace at the front desk. She is incredible and makes me feel reassured since I live so far away. I always know that she will go the "extra mile" to make sure that my dad is well taken care of. From her welcoming greeting of all guests, to consistently checking on the residents to make sure they're doing well, I know my dad is in good hands. Candace truly is an asset and I truly appreciate all that she does!

My uncle was a resident at the Bristol in North Woodmere for Assisted Living. From the moment you enter the facility, you already feel the warmth and friendliness of all staff there. The facility is run so well and anything you might need is accomplished so fast. The facility is so clean and orderly. The meals served are like sitting in a fine restaurant with your choice of meals three times a day. The resident rooms are very, comfy and large that you feel like you are in a apartment. This facility runs like a well cruise liner sailing the sea. The staff show their smiles and know your name always. They work so hard and yet get their job done to the fullest. I believe this facility is a five star due to not only the staff but the Executive Director Dana Mori. She is so wonderful and always assisting everyone there. She will never ignore a call or email and answers always even though she is extremely busy. She is the sunshine that reflects what the Bristol is all about. Her care and treatment to all that present there is something I never saw or experienced anywhere. I would always feel safe and proud having a loved one there.

Such a happy feeling upon entering…. the color scheme is full of joyful expression. It felt like a resort. I enjoyed the tour led by Lori Ann. She is amazing in every way! Sweet and helpful! Spectacular dining and rec rooms! You know they are doing everything right when you walk down the hall and see people smiling at you. Quiet, peaceful and luxurious! It's a great place to have in our community! Bristal is the one you must visit!

Truly a wonderful resort I mean Assisted Living facility! LOL. My mother and two aunts have been residents here since August and they are living their best life! The Golden Girls are truly enjoying their golden years!! The staff is amazing and go above and beyond, so caring! And the food is 5 star!!

The Bristal of North Woodmere professional staff continues to go above and beyond in providing residents with customized attention. Each resident has the opportunity to define their own style of independent, assisted living. When a resident needs some assistance, the Wellness Team, in particular, demonstrates extraordinary personalized care in meeting new challenges. The Recreation team makes life fun, offering a variety of brain challenging and strength building activities. Led by Executive Director Dana Moro, the cohesiveness of the staff has never been better. My mom has been a resident at the Bristal for many years now, thank God, and has received support beyond expectation and friendship from the entire community.

Yesterday's Grandparents Day at the Bristal of North Woodmere was fabulous! My niece and her two daughters, four and one and a half years old, enjoyed face painting, balloon animals and hats, magic tricks, bubble making, cotton candy and make your own sundaes. The best part was that it was an intergenerational experience with participants from babies to seniors with activities and food and fun for all! Kudos to the Recreational staff and Kitchen crew!

The Grandparents Day at The Bristal N. Woodmere was a fun-filled program that brought together the residents, their families, and the staff through dancing, eating, and playing. I loved watching the residents dancing, and my family and I even joined in. It was a great day.

One of the hardest decisions was to put my dad in assisted living, but I now know I made the right choice. The Bristal has changed my dads life. He loves movies so the movie theatre is one of his favorite spots. My dad also loves to eat, so finding a home for him where he loves the restaurant was a huge bonus. I love it because the staff is so friendly and are really wonderful to my dad. When I visit my dad, he loves to sit outside on the patio and tell me about his day. The Bristal is super clean, the staff is great and they care about their residents. I would highly recommend the Bristal for anyone who is looking for a great home for their loved one. ❤️

My father was a resident of The Bristal of North Woodere’s memory care for 2 1/2 years. The apartments and courtyard are beautiful and well kept. Most importantly, the Bristal staff cared for and treated my father well and accommodated his changing needs. I have to mention Wendy Blackman, the Bristal’s memory care director who is so dedicated and hardworking and went above and beyond to provide great care, as did the care staff. Thank you for helping my father, myself, and my family, we will always be grateful to you.

My mother has been living full time at The Bristal North Woodmere for three years, and seasonally for at least 6 years prior. She feels very comfortable and happy with her environment. The staff is wonderful, and my sister and I could not be happier. As my mother's needs have changed, the staff has been able to accommodate her and allow a very high level of independence and autonomy.

My dad is well taken care of at the Bristal at North Woodmere. The staff is very attentive, and his needs are addressed ranging from medical, to recreational and social, to personal care and nourishment. The facility is lovely and well maintained, and he has a nice apartment. It’s a huge relief knowing that he’s in a safe and caring environment. Thank you for taking good care of my dad!

From the first day I walked into the Bristal to research whether to sign up my magnificent mother of 89 years young until today ( 5 months later) my family and I have only rave reviews for this 5 star hotel quality assisted living facility. The accommodations and the entire staff are warm, engaging and 100% responsible for their roles at the Bristal What a special TEAM..... My mother is happy, healthier and most of all safe!! My mom has been living at the Bristal for four years. They have been wonderful to her and to all of us. Recently, she has taken ill. The Social Worker, Smillie, has taken us all under her wing, and has gone out of her way to make sure Mom is well taken care of. An amazing worker and a wonderful staff!

My dad has been a resident here for a year and a half. The entire staff from aides to management are compassionate and caring people. They help pair up people who they think will be friends, add activities to meet the interest of residents and the facility is immaculate. My 12 year old thought grandpa moved into a hotel. Highly recommend!

We visited several other facilities in the area but chose The Bristal at North Woodmere because it was like entering a 4 star Hotel instead of an assisted living facility. Not only is it so bright and cheerful, but the staff and all of the aides are so nice and helpful. My mother-in-law is so much happier here interacting with people rather than being in her old apartment all alone. She gets all of the assistance she needs throughout the day. Plus the wellness center has regular visits from a general practitioner, podiatrist and optometrist with a nurse on hand. Three good meals a day, movie theatre, exercise classes, hair salon and Shabbat every Friday, what more could we ask for. My mother-in-law didnt want to leave her apartment but once she took the tour and spoke to Lori the sales director who made her feel at ease and answered all of her concerns, she decided to try it and shes still there and very happy. I highly recommend the Bristal at North Woodmere.

I'm an Industry Professional who owns a Home Care Agency. I am a frequent visitor to this Community (as residents occasionally call upon my Agency to provide short-term, one-on-one assistance for Mom or Dad in addition to the services they receive at The Bristal). I have also referred a number of families to The Bristal at North Woodmere. The staff is extremely warm, friendly, welcoming and professional, while the Community itself is clean, gorgeous, and vibrant. This is a direct reflection on the Staff, as well as on the Bristal Philosophy and Mission Statement. From the ED, Latavia Ross, to Wellness Director Marcia Suckey, and on down to Food Services, Recreation, Housekeeping, Wait Staff and the Front Desk, every member of the Bristal Team takes it upon themself to engage the Residents individually, and to make them feel like they are respected and valued members of the Community. I am most impressed with how "social" the atmosphere at the Bristal feels. There is always a buzz in the lunch room (where Food Services Director Verna takes great pride in providing delicious and creative meals and snacks). And there is a constant bustle of activity - from Music Programs, to regular Card games, to Movies, and of course everyone's favorite: Bingo! There are also frequent Bus Trips for Outside activities like the Beach, Broadway Plays, and other Special Events. The rooms are beautiful, and provide a true feeling of home when the Residents have had their fill of the daily activities in the Community. DCR Lori McGuinness is often giving tours of the building during my visits, and takes great pride in helping families make an informed, UN-pressured decision as to whether her Community is the "right fit" for the family's Loved One. I am frankly a bit envious of the amenities, luxury and pampering that Bristal North Woodmere residents get to experience, and would wholeheartedly recommend this Community for families looking to ensure that Mom and Dad get the most out of their Senior Years!

I moved my father here over 1 year ago and he is very happy--the facilities are gorgeous, the food is wonderful, and (most importantly) the staff are very dedicated and caring. We owe the Bristal our thanks for taking such wonderful care of my father--he's thriving!

The Bristal exceeded our expectations and mom is like a new person! When we brought mom back to Long Island after 30 years in Florida, she was weak and mildly confused. She had a round the clock aide and a local daughter who visited often. She was no longer playing Canasta due to diminished ability. Four months later, mom is like a different person. She has friends. She has several regular Canasta games. She gets out - shows, shopping, lunch. She loves the occasional on-site vendors. She enjoys the movies, lectures and group discussions. The facility is lovely - nicely decorated, clean, secure. The staff is professional and personally involved with each family. I visit mom several times every week. She is happy, healthy and strong.

My mom has been living at the Bristal in North Woodmere for over a year and still says "Home Sweet Home" when returning from an outing. Nothing could be more comforting than seeing her in a happy and safe environment. Working with Lori McGuiness made mom's move a smooth and stress free transition for the whole family. Lori works very diligently to make sure everything is taken care of. I especially love how the whole staff greats my mom by name and everyone is very in tune to her needs. I highly recommend the Bristal at North Woodmere.

Beautiful, but not welcoming My Mom spent some time here, and while physically it was lovely and the food was very good, it was emotionally difficult - hard to join a card game, special rules not explained for bingo, no choice as to which strangers to sit with at meals. More attention to inclusion/emotional matters would be helpful.
