Our family has been checking out Tipton Place in Huntington for our eldest living relative. Tipton is charming and practical engagement for a community, and no-one can get truly lost with that layout. Great for residents and visitors. Chelsi and Melissa have been super friendly and accommodating, and our family is thankful for this opportunity for our dear aunt to become an active part in the Tipton Place Community. With the flexibility to access the facility and reach out to the sales department and executive director all the constant needs and questions that have come up have been made so easy. For this we have been truly blessed for the many friendships we have incurred and built.

The facility is back in a quiet area off the main highway beside a beautiful, wooded area and a pretty pond for scenery. This was a big seller for my family as visits would be happening often, and the location was close to everyone in all directions that would be traveling. The quality and specialized attention given to each individual resident is crafted to their specific needs and desires. I am so grateful to have found this new home for my mother when the time is right for her. My mom said she felt welcome and that she could thrive in a community such as Tipton Place. With mom not wanting to make a sudden decision I felt we may feel burdened and or rushed into something and thankfully that was not the case. They were patient and filled with lots of knowledge during our facility tour. When mom is ready to make this transition Tipton Place will be our choice!

This place was an absolute blessing to my family. After several years of contemplating if we should put my aunt into an assisted lying facility. Tipton Place made that decision 100% easier and put our minds at such ease. The process was made easy and stress free. The staff was encouraging inviting and most of all we felt like family the moment we stepped into the facility. I understand many cities have multiple facilities but first thing you should evaluate is how the staff interacts and treats your family. Knowing that this is who is going to be caring for your family when you are away. Melissa the ED is just amazing and is always available to help answer questions and gets things done. Please consider Tipton Place when you start your search you will NOT regret your choice. This place should be rated TOP tier for its care and staff!

"for a nursing home' is it allowed to sit an old lady's bags of wet dirty cloths in bags outsides along with all her other stuff outside by a curb for more than an hour. because they did my grandmas just a few days ago when i went to pick her up... she called wanted to leave that place it was so bad

We chose Tipton Place for our family member over a large retirement community because of it’s smaller resident count and a home-like atmosphere. (We didn’t want an impersonal hospital type setting.) Tipton Place also has a large center courtyard which provides a safe place for residents to enjoy the outside. Tipton Place Staff gets to know their residents and their often unique needs which has been wonderful. The dining room provides freshly cooked tasty meals 3 times a day plus snacks are available. Additionally, an optional hairdresser and podiatrist make regular visits at affordable prices (residents just need to sign up in advance for an appointment). Rooms are kept clean and laundry is done weekly or more often if needed. We elected to have our family member’s primary health care be directed by the physician contracted with Tipton Place. This has worked out much better than having care directed by a physician who only sees my family member several times a year. Overall, my family has been very pleased with the level of care, staff and amenities.
