My mother loves her spacious apartment. The care managers and wellness professionals go out of their way to make sure she is well cared for. She loves all of the activities, especially bingo and the musical guests. I would definitely recommend Sunrise for your loved one.

Everyone is very friendly and helpful to my mother. Very clean and a pleasant room. Mother likes it here too. The menu is updated and the food is well prepared. There are a lot of daily activities too.

The staff (Ann, Gilbert, Kara, Karla, Katina, Sara, and Yosief) have all been caring, friendly, and great to work with. My mother really likes the facility and the staff. The food is very good and a variety of activities are offered each week in which the residents may participate.

My Father moved into the Independent Living when his advancing Parkinson’s required a little more assistance (like medicine management) and we felt more comfortable with him having people around to support him and socialize. While he wasn’t excited about the move - he quickly made friends with both staff and residents. That was more than 10 years ago - and it was the perfect choice to support him as his needs advanced. During the pandemic he transitioned to Assisted Living and as he declined - i was always confident that he had good care and attention. Even when he couldn’t really participate in activities, the team made sure he was included and engaged. And when my father had issues that led him to the hospital or a rehab center - the Nurse and Care Manager stayed engaged, visited and were very helpful in discussing options for his return and when the time came ensuring he could spend his last days on hospice in his Sunrise home.

Mom moved in 3 months ago and had settled in very well. Frankly in many ways she is a new person with activities and human interaction. The staff are friendly, accommodating and always looking out for the community as a whole and the safety and individual needs of the residents.

Moved a loved one into Sunrise at Countryside April 1. The staff has been incredibly helpful with the adjustment period as well as assisting me with setting up billing, coordinating with nursing care and physical therapy. Taylor Gurley is the Director and she is grateful for feedback to maintain their facility at the highest level. Bertille is a dream to work with on the nursing side. Debbie Adams reached out to me to discuss physical therapy needs. This is all extremely important since I live out of town. There are loads of activities and a lovely setting to sit indoors or out. Take the tour to see what I mean.

What a fantastic place this is. The staff has been so incredibly kind and attentive to my father who we moved in recently. The residents are lovely and the staff has gone above and beyond in caring for him. We could not be happier. It takes special people to work with the elderly and these folks hit the nail on the head in my opinion!

My mom lived here for 2 years - first in independent living and then in assisted living. Mom moved into independent living prior to Covid. During Covid, the staff took such good care of the residents in independent living that none of them contracted Covid from anyone at Sunrise. My mom moved to assisted living the last 3 months of her life and she expressed many times that she felt very well taken care of and loved by the Sunrise staff. My mother was a difficult resident in assisted living, but the staff were so patient and kind to her. I was humbled at how many of them went beyond the call of duty to care and comfort my mom both physically and emotionally. The staff was very communicative with me and my siblings regarding my mother's care. I am very glad my mom lived at Sunrise!

I cannot rave enough. Sunrise at Countryside is just exceptional. In particular, Pauline Smith, the Director of Sales, has worked very hard to answer every question and help in every way she can to make resident's transition into senior assisted living as painless and comfortable as possible. They provide quality care and the resident's quality of life is a top priority. My sister is so happy in her new 'digs" and says she has "an army of people working for" her. Pauline has told me that she is very passionate about the families and residents she serves and is also supported by an amazing team. I can certainly attest to thatbut more importantly, so does my sister. Thank you, Team Countryside!

My friends mom moved here in Aug 2019. We've gone to visit many time and they even threw her a "welcome" party and mailed invitations to all of her daughters friends. There were 15 of us that came, and they fed us a fabulous breakfast with a casserole, fruit, fresh muffins, coffee and juices. It was AMAZING. The facility is clean, smells great, and have been so helpful (we all helped her move in). I love this place! The staff stopped by and were wonderful and kind.

My mom has been in Sunrise Senior Living for seven years ever since my dad passed away. She has a lovely, sunny apartment and we arranged from the start for med techs to bring her meds everyday. I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff there. My mom has had a difficult time in the past year or so and the staff has been attentive, supportive, communicative and even though I live 2000 miles away, I know they are making sure she is okay all the time. And they are very patient when my mom gets cranky (as happens). On a recent visit my mom got a stomach bug (age 92) and we ended up going to the ER twice. The staff was professional, prompt and conscientious about being sure everything was done to make her return from the hospital stays safe and pleasant. There are many activities that go on in the beautifully decorated and comfortable common living room: banjo and piano players, gentle stretching and exercise classes, learning opportunities, the list goes on. Family members are always welcomed. I cannot say enough positive things about Sunrise (Countryside), and I am so grateful my mom has been able to live there these last seven years. Thank you.

My Mom has been living at Sunrise Senior Living at Countryside on the Independent Living side (not the Assisted Living side) since 2012; seven years. Because they have both services, Independent Living and Assisted Living, she is able to receive a hybrid of the two. She has some Assisted Living services (medication management) while living on the Independent side. So the flexibility has been very good for us. She is challenged to be as independent as possible yet receive services for things (medication management) that she has struggled with her entire life. Mom living at Sunrise has enriched not only her life but also the lives of my family. I am certain she would not have lived to 92 (her current age) if she hadn't been living at Sunrise. I LOVE the staff. The ladies that help Mom with her medication are incredibly patient. (My mother can be a pill.) They are kind. Caring. Thorough. Efficient. All of the staff at Sunrise have been wonderful. I love the facility. It's very homey. Mom and I recently went out to the 'back yard' to admire the gardens that the residents had planted. The last seven years of my life would have been VERY different if Mom had continued to live with me as we had planned. Much love and gratitude to all the staff at Sunrise. You are the BEST!!!

I don’t know what the other reviewers are talking about. I have had both of my parents at both the independent living and the assisted living components of the facility and their experience has been wonderful! The staff is considerate, kind and respectful and there are many employees who have been there for quite a long time. They always seem to work well together and enjoy both each other and the patients. Sunrise was not our first assisted living facility and the attention and care we have received at this facility far surpassed what we received at our first facility. I’m very grateful for the treatment and care from the sunrise staff and recommend them to everyone I know.

This place does the very best they can with their residents. I put my dad in here and they are very attentive to him, but as most of the residents...he just hates being here. I don't blame him, but I do respect the employees that DO give their 100% best to make sure these elderly people are comfortable, fed, and cleaned. Of all the senior homes out there, I believe that this is a good balance if you are on a somewhat moderate budget and want a comfortable place to live. They have a house dog or two, about 50 residents if you want to hang out on the first floor, and the chef...Chef Gilbert...he's a very very good cook that takes great pride in feeding his people well. For those that accuse this place of not communicating...yes...You do have to be persistent sometimes, but isn't that the way it is in most places? I will say that when my dad has fallen, they will call immediately to let me know any medical issues, but for routine questios and requests, sometimes a follow up is necessary...but all in all , the place is clean, and acceptable for any senior citizen.
