We moved my 73 year old aunt into the Carlisle after visiting five other communities in the area. The Carlisle is the best option, it looks luxurious and feels like a fancy hotel. Moving my aunt was a difficult move from out of state. The people at Carlisle made the move seamless. They were and have been wonderful. Especially Jackie Crawford who’s an absolute gem. The staff has been incredibly welcoming and ensured that she got settled in nicely. They even made sure she made some friends. They answer all of my questions and concerns promptly. I never have to wait to get an update. I’m very thankful that we found the Carlisle. It’s hard to trust other people to help care for your loved ones. The people at the Carlisle ease my worry. I’m very happy that’s where we chose for my aunt to enjoy her retirement. The grounds are beautiful, newly renovated and across the street from the beach. I would recommend the Carlisle to anyone looking.

My mom and I were recently invited to attend a Lunch and Learn event at The Carlisle. As owners of a local nurse registry (private duty home care company), we work every day with seniors. When asking us for recommendations about assisted living facilities or senior communities, one of the first questions they ask us is about the food/dining. The food quality and presentation at the luncheon were 5 star “ comparable to higher-end restaurants. Most importantly, all management and staff who we met with made us feel welcome. Everyone was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They really know how to provide an elevated, pleasant experience for their residents. After the luncheon, we took a tour of the Memory Care building. The newly renovated apartments were beautiful. We were particularly impressed with the different levels of care offered for residents with different abilities.

2026 Update- The Carlisle is under new ownership- a majority of the staff and medical personnel are gone. They seem to be having trouble keeping people- this place is much different now .They have increased the rent and medical charges for nearly every resident we know with little explanation of the criteria used to justify the increase. They are doing lots of updates to the property too, so we will assume more increases will be coming in the future. Perhaps they could use some of the increased living/ caregiving charges to pay the caregivers more so they can try and retain them. Incidentally, The Carlie used my initial review ( below) on their website about what people are saying about them, but edited what I said in my post. Do your research- the place is not all bad, but the new management and director have a lot to learn. They are definitely not as welcoming as the the prior group was- they just seem like they want money and don’t really care about their residents on a personal level. Hoping things will change. So happy with The Carlisle! We spoke with Dannie Josma about the services and expectations we have for our mother’s care and she assured us that they would be able meet her needs -and they have delivered! The Wellness/Medical Staff are top notch and the CNA’s and all the resident staff are phenomenal - they actually care and take pride in assisting our mom and treat her with respect and dignity . Overall we are very satisfied and our mom is happy as well. The location is fantastic too!

I am currently living at the Carlisle in Independent living. The atmosphere here does not look or feel like a facility with its Mediterranean design. It feels more like a hotel or a luxurious home. It's location is superb. We are steps from the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Directly across the street are lovely shops, restaurants, and beauty salons which offer great convenience. The staff are caring and most accommodating and always with a smile. They are kind and approachable in their efforts to assist and please the residents. I am a second generation resident and I love it as much as my dad did. After doing my" homework" looking at other places, I can honestly say,"I would not want to be anywhere else".

My dad moved in just a few months ago and this has been life-changing for him. He really wasn’t the social type but it didn’t take him long to get acclimated. All of the residents and especially the staff have been exceptionally inviting. My Dad was hospitalized and the staff and residents kept checking on him and made sure he was OK and got him back into the swing of things once he was back home. They offer outings for the residents, happy hour, 24 hour staff, the options are endless. My dad is living like a king and well deserved for the golden years of his life. I can’t say enough about this place and my dad for once is living his life again thanks to The Carlisle and their staff.

We had a wonderful experience learning about The Carlisle while looking for an independent living community for my parents. Jennifer made us feel welcomed and cared for from the initial phone call through every moment of both visits. She is extremely supportive and gentle. Kevin joined us for both visits, sharing his insights and good humor. Both were patient and kind with my parents who are very reluctant and fearful about moving. The Carlisle itself is beautiful and elegant, clearly well maintained and situated in a lovely location a block from the beach. From upper levels there are stunning ocean views! We would be delighted to call The Carlisle home, and will when we are ready. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in the dining room with our gracious hosts and attentive server. All in all it was a terrific experience which I can’t recommend highly enough!

Ok... I am the type of person who looks at positive reviews and I am skeptical about who actually wrote the review. Or I am the personal that does not take the time to write something when I have had a positive experience. I had to take the time to write about The Carlisle because putting a loved one in an assisted living facility can be an emotional process. After reading reviews and obsessing over pictures of The Carlisle I made it first on our list to see for my mother-in-law. We met with Jennifer Roche who is the sales director and the whole family just hit it off with her. First, walking into The Carlisle is like walking into a 5 star hotel. Clean, aesthetically pleasing, happy faces of employees and residents. We took a tour of the facility and of the room that was available and I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH about the unit. The white walls with the sun coming in from the balcony made the unit bright and cheery. This unit happened to overlook the pool and had a bit of a view of the water. The kitchen had granite countertops and stainless appliances. It was like walking into a luxury apartment complex. I am not certain if all units have redone kitchens but that was an additional selling point for this unit. The master bathroom was HUGE and had a ton of storage in the bathroom as well as a walk-in closet in the bedroom. We looked at other assisted living places after The Carlisle and it was literally night and day. Most of the other places were very depressing and I did not see so many smiles. We knew right away The Carlisle was the right choice. There are a million activities every day and last night we went to the Passover seder that they had in the main dining room. It was good food and lovely people. My mother-in-law is making friends and slowly joining the activities. I have emailed and texted Jennifer numerous times with questions and I always get a warm response back. I genuinely believe that the employees at The Carlisle love where they work. I have witnessed nothing but kind and caring nurses and many who have been at the facility for over 5 years. We are so grateful to The Carlisle and the community. We know our mom is safe.

My mother has been living in the Memory Care side of The Carlisle for a little over a year and is living her best life. She is always smiling, participates in all the activities, and genuinely seems happy. The staff are fantastic people who obviously care and really put my mind at ease. Over the past year, there have been some positive changes that make me even happier with The Carlisle. Every 2 weeks, they bring in dolls that look very much like babies and pass them around for all to hold. It's been very popular. They also take residents who are interested in venturing out for ice cream or various other thoughtful activities that provide stimulation in a safe way. One of the best additions over the last 6 months or so is a support group for those who have loved ones at The Carlisle. We meet virtually each month to discuss various topics, share any struggles and provide guidance to each other. There is nothing like talking with others who know exactly what you are going through and have their loved one living in the same facility. There are so many emotions for those who care for someone with dementia...sadness, guilt, love, fear, anger, etc....meeting with this support group is very validating of all those emotions and has truly made a difference for me. There is no doubt in my mind that my mother is at the very best place for her and that is all that matters.

Emily is the memory care Director at the Carlisle and is very hands on. She keeps the residents engaged in activities and has a music background which she has brought with her. The memory care side has flourished under her supervision. The environment is full of smiley residents, staff and family. I recently was there visiting my Mom and the residents were on the move alongside Emily and her staff. Often found outside engaged in gardening then off to the movies and then over to the art studio. In the past they always had music, but now the music is thoughtfully selected and located throughout the memory care unit which results in a calm, peaceful, cheerfulness. A very effective change which leads to a lovely better environment which improves the quality of life.

A week ago, we moved mom into assisted living at the Carlisle. Not only is it a stunning space, it has been an amazing experience and great relief to our family that she is receiving thoughtful care, better than what we could provide her ourselves. I feel like the Carlisle is as close to perfect as you’re going to get. Moving a parent to assisted living is the hardest thing you’ll ever do but I will say that the Carlisle really made it easier for me and my family. My mom is starting to really like it and she feels more comfortable by the day. There are tons of activities and field trips. They have movies and sing along and entertainment on a regular basis. The main dining room is a real treat and the facility is beautiful. To me and my family the location is great! Publix is right across the street and there are many restaurants that we like to take my mom to up and down E Ocean ave. My mom has come a long way from the 1st day and I have to contribute her settling in so quickly to Daniella Josma in Sales. She has gone above and beyond with us. Half of the stuff that she has helped facilitate isn’t even part of her job. If I was reviewing just Dani I would give 5 stars for this review. All in all I couldn’t be happier that we did our homework and chose the Carlisle for my mom.

Danielle is amazing, the best Nurse ever! I’m sure in this business she gets her share of problem customers, and people don’t always take the time to express their gratitude. My Mom has struggled with the move from living independently at her own home to Assisted Living, but recently she has really come around and she seems to appreciate what a great place the Carlisle is and the fact she doesn’t have to cook. We took her to her house this weekend again and moved a bunch more stuff up here. Her apartment is bursting at the seams with stuff now. But the main thing is Mom seems happy and content now. Thank you Danielle for all your help. You are a godsend and so helpful to everyone. The Carlisle is lucky to have you!

Our father chose to move to the Independent Living side of the Carlisle almost 2 years ago. He has been happy since the first day. I read many reviews and just shake my head. I believe what you put out is what you get back. He/we have had nothing but a positive experience. He’s an easy going, appreciative guy - and he is treated with warmth and respect. Within the first couple days he was remarking that everyone was acknowledging him by name. Fast forward to a couple months ago when he took a fall that resulted in him requiring Assisted Living. The transition was seamless. He is still able to partake in the activities he was previously enjoying in IL and still able to eat meals with his friends in the IL dining room or dine in the AL dining area - whichever he chooses. The Wellness Director and staff are phenomenal. From daily care, medicine management, coordination of medical visits - many that visit the Carlisle, we are blown away with attention to detail by this group. We like to think of ourselves as hands-on children but the Director almost seems to anticipate our questions:concerns and is already handling it. The new director is also going above and beyond. During the recent tropical storm:hurricane we received ongoing updates as to the status of the Carlisle and evacuation protocol had it been necessary which fortunately it was not. When we knew that our dad needed to move from IL to AL we took the opportunity to look at other AL facilities - we too read reviews and we needed to be sure he would be getting this next level of care he needed. Hands down The Carlisle of the Palm Beaches delivers on their promises.

They've taken good care of my grandmother. She's a rather particular person, so the fact that she doesn't have many complaints about The Carlisle really speaks volumes. The apartments are cozy without being cramped. The staff are polite and reasonably responsive. Food is acceptable (eaten it myself). Clean and hygienic. The people who live here overall seem contented.

The Four Seasons of Assisted Living My mother and her companion moved to The Carlisle March 2022 and are loving it. They have exercise every day, movies, art classes, and on and on. Tons to do as well as a gorgeous setting. The trees around the pool are so tropical, you feel like you are on vacation. The food is excellent....I've eaten there several times and my mother often tells me about all the delicious meals they have. I've toured many, many Assisted Living facilities and as soon as I visited The Carlisle, I knew this place was different. Every person I spoke to or met, was super knowledgeable as well as personable. You could tell how much they care about the residents. I also appreciate that the Assisted Living and Independent sides are open, meaning my mother on the Assisted living side can also dine in the Independent side. Most facilities have everything completely separate. But most important to me...as an only child who is long distance...is the fact that there are medical staff who can help in an emergency or even when there isn't an emergency. THIS gives me peace of mind that my mother is safe and well cared for. I truly can't imagine a better place for an aging parent!!

My Dad became a resident 15 days ago. We searched 10 different places in Broward and Palm Beach County. This place was just the right size for my dad and not intimidating or overwhelming for him. I never felt like I was institutionalizing him but moving him to his new home. Robin and staff promised a lot of and delivered on ALL. No second request, all done the first time at signup. My dad who stated he would never use the amenities and not look for new friends has embraced the whole lifestyle and looks forward to the NEW next day. Not only did he find a new home, but I can also now rest knowing he's happy and safe. THANK YOU ROBIN AND COMPANY.

The Carlisle is a 5-star community lying between the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Worth. The ocean breeze and moderate temperatures are ideal for relaxing outdoors and taking lovely walks. The facility boasts an accessible and responsive management team,along with skilled maintenance, cleaning and landscaping personnel who keep the property beautiful. The individual units are well designed, and the elegant common areas offer a wealth of activities. Dining is equivalent to any 5star restaurant, with the chef providing a creative variety of selections, beautifully presented by a wait staff who are pleasant, patient and helpful. I have been to many assisted living facilities as well as independent living facilities for both my mother and mother-in-law The food at the Carlisles restaurant is delicious! They have a great always menu and their daily specials have been really great! If you are looking into the Carlyle for a loved one Ask for LYDIA in the sales department! She is so kind, friendly and knowledgeable. She goes above and beyond constantly and is always available 24 seven with any questions or concerns. She replies immediately and does everything possible to please the residents and their family members. Many communities are further west and while you may get a slightly bigger apartment You’re in the middle of nowhere and the residents have to solely rely on transportation. Whereas The Carlisle, is in a fantastic location that provides residents the opportunity to walk to the Beach, luxury boutiques and delicious restaurants all directly across the street! It really gives residence the opportunity to live a fulfilled independent lifestyle with so much right outside the door to the Carlisle. just over the bridge is an awesome park for visiting grandchildren to exert their energy!! The bonus?! After all that running around at the park the grandchildren are welcome to swim at the beautiful and huge pool at the Carlisle!! truly blessed I found an incredible place like the Carlisle for my mom and it is a pleasure visiting her!!

It was a very emotional and scary time for us because the isolation of her being at home alone and even with some help was sending her into a downhill spiral. Read what one of our family members had to say: I am nominating Dad to be the "poster child" for the Carlisle. When we first started chatting with you about his moving in, it was going to be sometime in the fall after his stay up north. After he moved in and started getting acclimated he thought maybe he'd adjust his northern visit to just a couple months. When he left last Wednesday he said he'd probably see me in a month. After just a day or two up north he started talking about how much he missed the Carlisle. So...after he got the information on the storage unit and he figured what would fit, e asked my sister's husband to "drive him home". They left on Tuesday and will be back today. Yup... he stayed less than a week. Compliments to you and the Carlisle! How's that for positive feedback?!

This place was quite nice when my mother moved there 1 1/2 years ago. Since then though the Carlisle has gone downhill. The building has some age on it and it's starting to show. Common areas are beginning to look a little tired, the elevators often have issues and it no longer feels like "luxury living". Scaled back during the lockdowns, the activities are still reduced, the few movies shown are old and not what the residents seem to want to watch. The food quality has also gone down hill and is inconsistent. Residents typically have a regular table for dinner, so they don't easily get to know other residents, only their regular dinner companion(s) & it can be difficult for some residents to find a situation/dinner companion they like. It is kept very clean though. Overall I would give it a B, but you are paying for A/A+.

Hemo in the sales and activity department is awesome, she’s on top of all your needs. She’s great at personally meeting your needs ! She’s always willing to help Wadson who is the LPN here is very kind when dealing with the elderly and he meets all of their needs, very professional. Richard the main guy here will do anything to make sure your needs are meet, very understanding of each and everyone that lives here needs. Patti at the front desk is awesome too , she has an answer to any questions you might have , she’s great! Overall everyone here are on their top game , from the cleaning ladies to the wait staff . Everyone has been very accommodating

There is a lot to say about the Carlisle that’s good. But the best thing, because I no longer drive, is that I can rely on their incredibly wonderful transportation system. They take me to doctors appointments, spas beauty shops, out to lunch with friends, hospital visits, and emergencies as they arise. I have lived here for four wonderful years and I’m so happy that I live here. Everyone is very nice. Happily the Carlisle will take you anywhere in Palm Beach county for any and all doctor’s appointments.
