As a hospice professional, I have the privilege of working with many personal care homes, and this team consistently stands out. The staff provides compassionate, resident-centered care and treats every individual with dignity and respect. Communication with healthcare providers and families is excellent, and the team works collaboratively to ensure residents receive the highest quality of care. The facility is clean, welcoming, and staffed by people who genuinely care about the well-being of those they serve. It is always a pleasure partnering with this community. My father moved in to Brookdale Bloomsburg in March and our family has been very pleased with the care he has received. Brookdale is not your typical assisted living facility. The environment is homey, quaint, and very clean. The staff is consistently kind, compassionate, and attentive, and it is clear that they genuinely care about the residents' well-being. The management team has also been wonderful. From the very beginning, they were friendly, supportive, and incredibly helpful as we navigated the difficult process of choosing an assisted living facility and moving my father in. They took the time to answer our questions, address our concerns, and make the transition as smooth as possible. My dad is happy living here, which says a lot because he has always been completely against living in a nursing home. He says that the staff is top notch and that the food is delicious. Hearing him so satisfied, as well as knowing that he is safe, well cared for, and treated with respect, gives our family tremendous peace of mind. We are grateful for the dedication and professionalism of everyone here and would highly recommend this facility to other families looking for quality assisted living care.

Mom says, they saved my life. After living alone for over a year, and no longer driving, she felt isolated and alone. She worried a lot and got little sleep. She loves her studio apartment and just has to open the door to find company. Brookdale has daily activities, wonderful meals, and a professional and courteous staff. Our family can stop worrying knowing she is safe and happy.

Although Mom’s stay at Brookdale was relatively short, we will always have the deepest gratitude for the experience she had with you in the last months of her life. She so enjoyed her dining partners, the great care and attention she was given by all the staff, and the activities which enriched her life. Special thanks to Ron for his gentle attention on the rides they took which she loved. As her family, we couldn’t be happier with the help, instruction and guidance generously shared with us as we made decisions concerning Mom’s care. Deborah, Diane, Jasmyn, Sandra and more were always so gracious to us. From help with Mom’s 100th birthday party to clearing her room after she passed - there was no end to the kindness. It blessed Mom’s life and ours to be associated with Brookdale.

I really appreciate what a great job Brookdale Bloomsburg did taking care of my father for the final years of his life. Dealing with the challenges presented by an elderly parent is bad enough, but trying to do so from many miles away is even worse. With my dad at Brookdale, I knew that he was safe and well-cared-for, even if I wasn't able to visit as often as I wanted to. Everyone on the staff was kind and caring, and I was always kept informed of the goings on, how my father was doing between visits, and so forth. There is definitely a sense of community, which I know my father enjoyed. It's never an easy decision, but if you've reached that point with a loved one, Brookdale Bloomsburg is a good choice and deserves your consideration.

My mother lived at Brookdale for approximately 5 years. The administrators, nursing staff, and caregivers at the Bloomsburg location all worked together to provide the best experience and care for their residents. They were friendly, flexible and able to accommodate special needs and situations as they arose. Their daily activities kept the residents engaged, and the facility was always clean, well kept, and welcoming. We looked at several other senior living communities and are so glad we chose Brookdale Bloomsburg.

My mother entered the facility in the midst of COVID in 2020. It was one of the hardest things that we did. The caregivers were very helpful, understanding, and cooperative. We never thought COVID would impact the healthcare system like it did. It was very difficult to visit through a window. Certainly not Brookdale's problem...just unfortunate for our elderly family members. My mother has been at Brookdale for three years now. She loves the staff, the facility, and considerers it home. The food, staff, facility cleanliness, and care are top notch. Her ALZ status is changing slowly but our biggest concern now is her cancer diagnosis. The majority of the staff are very kind and concerned for my mother's care and are dealing with the changes in this very dynamic 98-year old. Brookdale was instrumental in informing us of the benefits of early Hospice care for Mom. I'd say that my one complaint would be the turnover in staff (as many facilities are trying to conquer). It is difficult for my mother (as well as us) to remember all the new names and faces. I'd give Brookdale Bloomsburg a positive recommendation to anyone who asks.

Brookdale Bloomsburg truly is a family. I brought in my grandmother for the Mother’s Day tea to check it out and I was wowed. The staff and residents made us feel so welcome. My grandmother was chatting with the other ladies and still talks about how delicious the tea was. It was a lovely day and everyone there really did a great job making the mothers and my grandma feel special.

Appreciate the personalized care from staff that was given to my Uncle. It means so much when your loved one requires assistance and you aren't close by. Brookdale Bloomsburg took exceptional steps ensuring everyone's safety during Covid - at the same time figuring ways that we could see our family even if it wasn't inside. I would recommend them.

I moved my mother here and have felt so blessed that she is in such a great place. The place has a great vibe. Residents are happy and outgoing and the staff is fantastic! Everyone is very personable and my mother has tried foods she never had (that's a notable thing for her). She enjoys the food and has told me how lucky she feels to be here. My wife has said she wishes we could retire to a place like this. Great job Brookdale!!

Brookdale is warm and inviting facility. The staff is exceptional, they go above and beyond to make my mother's new "Home" feel comfortable and safe. Everyone we have encountered ;the Exc Director, Health and Wellnes Director's ,Buisness staff, Maintenance, Activity Coordinator, Dietary Coodinator, OT and PT & Care Staff, have been so kind, and accomodating.They have all made it a point to get to know my mom, interact with her, and treat her like family! I am happy that we made the choice of Brookdale. '

Due to medical issues we recently had to move my father into the Brookdale facility in Bloomsburg, PA. My sisters and I had no idea what to expect from the process. It turns out we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Every step of the way - from the initial facility tour, to signing the contract, to moving my father in - the staff was not just warm and helpful; they really did treat us like members of a family. It felt as if on every trip to the facility each staff member would greet my father by name. Their care and professionalism allayed any misgivings we had about bringing my father into their care. As one would expect, my father would've preferred not to have to move from his home into assisted living, but he happily has his cat with him, he really likes the food, and he acknowledges that the staff is all "very friendly and they all greet you." I look forward to a continuing transition for my father and a great relationship with Brookdale for a long time to come.

Brookdale has become a family affair! My first experience with Brookdale Bloomsburg was in 2018, when my father was suffering from lung cancer and could no longer stay alone. Within a few days of the initial inquiry, he was moved in and had everything he needed through Hospice and Brookdale. He enjoyed going to the dining room and choosing his meal from the daily menus, and quickly chatted up the other residents. Unfortunately, his stay was brief due to his passing, but I could tell he felt safe and cared for at Brookdale. Shortly after my father passed, my 88 year old in-laws were having difficulty managing at home, so we suggested Brookdale. Though hesitant at first, they have now been there for two and a half years and are very content. They love the staff, the activities, and the reassurance of having assistance 24/7. Our fourth family member to reside at Brookdale was my mother. She was also on hospice and when it became obvious that she could no longer live independently, I inquired about availability at Brookdale. Within 24 hours of my initial call, she was safely moved in and being cared for around the clock. I can't say enough about this facility. From the moment you walk in the door, it feels comfortable. It feels as though you are entering a lovely community. The facility is homey and decorated beautifully for all seasons. The residents are free to move around, participate in activities and socialize with each other. The staff is friendly and makes you feel like part of the family. Communication regarding any issues with your loved one is a given, and in a timely manner. There are a selection of room sizes and accommodations to suit individuals or couples. Pets are even allowed! There are plenty of activities and even weekly outings planned. Brookdale works with support services such as physical therapy and hospice, and has a nurse practitioner that visits regularly, along with a podiatrist. Brookdale Bloomsburg has been a lifesaver for us. We have complete confidence in them and the care that they provide, from the top down.

A few months ago, I never thought that I would be looking for an assisted living facility for a family member. My mother and I visited a few assisted living facilities in the Bloomsburg / Danville area. I can't say enough about the staff at Brookdale Senior Living. Out of the three sites that we visited. Brookdale was my mothers first choice. She liked the people and the facility. I worked with Julie Deeter, the Executive Director and Andrea Slater Sales Manager. I couldn't have asked for a better team. Julie and Andrea took the time in educating me about Alzheimer's / Dementia and worked with me through this Assisted Living process. They were patient and compassionate. The two of them are remarkable human beings. After our visit, Andrea called my mother to see how she was doing. This really meant a lot to my mother. We moved my mother into Brookdale at the end of July. I wasn't sure how the transition to an Assisted Living facility would go. I speak with my mother a few times a week. She regularly mentions how the staff Brookdale Senior Living are compassionate and friendly group of professionals. The piece of mind just knowing that my mother is safe, comfortable and in good hands. I can't say thank you enough to the entire Brookdale team.
