The entire staff of Willow Grove of Sherwood (WGS) is the true definition of Family! They are the "Real Deal" in my book. Mom (Colleen Frierson) moved into the Studio/Kitchenette model apartment in Oct 2024. Now after 6 months of living at WGS she has told me, in her words, "I must say it really is the right size for me and the items which really matter to me". of course, I still get blamed for giving away all her good STUFF! Mom's latest challenge was Colon Cancer. I must say without the love, prayers, friendship, compassion and just good old kindness, I think her outcome could've been much different. With the assistance of Ms. Christine and Ms. Jacqulyne of WGS Mom's doctors released her back to WGS for recovery and rehab. WGS has a fully staffed PT/Rehab center within its walls, with fully certified Physical Therapist on hand. WGS welcomed me with open arms, provided room and board next door to Mom, enabling me to assist with her recovery. I lived here at WGS for almost two weeks, witnessed all the true love, caring and kindness firsthand. As I prepare to return home to Florida, I have complete confidence Mom will be loved and cared for completely. This is one hardest and most important, difficult decisions we make with and for family members, especially Moms. I have nothing but Praise for my new extended Family of Willow Grove of Sherwood. Willow Grove is a great place for my elderly mother. She loves it! It's clean. The staff does their job. And I have peace knowing mom is taken care of. If you're looking for a great place for mom, consider Willow Grove.

We are so glad to have found Willow Grove. It's been a great place for both of our parents. Mom moved first and then Dad joined her a few months later. It feels like home and family. Everyone, from the Directors, the nursing staff and caregivers, maintenance and dining hall staff -- they make us all feel welcome. We are confident this is the best place for them to be.

Moving a loved one into an assisted living facility is a scary and confusing decision. You want the absolute best for them, while knowing you might not be able to be their sole care provider. We toured Willow Grove and immediately felt peace. 90 year old Papaw has now been at Willow Grove for seven months and is thriving thanks to their excellent care.

I only have great things to say about Willow Grove. From the time they met my Mom, it was very clear that they truly cared about her. The people that work there and work with her are very kind, helpful, patient and respectful. They go put of their way to help and are always so kind and professional. They provide very helpful services in addition to the great care they provide. They are easy to reach and communicate very well regarding any needs or concerns. They do a great job trying to make this like home for their residents. They have beautiful living areas for visiting, provide activities, opportunities to socialize and the meals are very good and served like being in a nice restaurant. Assisting someone that has started to lose their independence and no longer be in their own home with all of their own things, dependent on others to help, isn’t an easy task. The staff at Willow Grove recognize that those changes are difficult and work to make it a nice transition.

I wish there were 10 stars to give. My grandmother spent almost 5 years at Stoney Brook and I cannot tell you what a godsend this place was for her. From the activities to the food, to the staff to her friends, this is the best place we could have ever imagined for her. Kay Hirrill, Sandy Carlson, Anne Stylist and Lucky Med Aid always took the time to make sure she was smiling and taken care of. I would not hesitate to recommend Stoney Brook to anyone that asks.

My mother in law loves Atria Del Rey! The staff truly loves and cares for seniors. It's like a cruise ship without the salty air. The food is awesome! The response time for caregivers is exceptional. Ryan, Johnette, George, Carol, and Carley are just a few of the exceptional people that work here.

My mother in law is a resident at elmcroft of sherwood. From the moment we moved in the staff welcomed us and made my mother in law feel at home. They always have something going on she is never in her room. She was very upset when we had to move her but she quickly changed her mind and now recommends elmcroft to others. They have been a life saver for us. We chose this location because they have actual nurses that give her medicine to her not a aid plus there is a nurse there even at night not just on call. That was a big thing for us. Our neighbor recommended them to us and we went to look at it and we were sold. . My mother law can be difficult at times but they just smile and seem to understand her and her dementia. I honestly think they improved our marriage as my wife couldnt leave my mother in law without her calling us and she cant remember much. They do all the cooking and help her with showers and dressing. I tell everyone about elmcroft of sherwood and how great they are. Fantastic place

Elmcroft of Maumelle was my dads home for four years, and its staff became his family — and mine, too. Im so grateful to the loving, smart, compassionate CNAs, nurses, executives, and support staff who worked with him day and night to ensure he was well-cared for and engaged in life. The facility is lovely and well-maintained, and meals are well-balanced, nutritious, and delicious. There are lots of activities planned and entertainment scheduled, so that no one ever has to be bored or lonely. When Dad died there in January at age 87 after a long battle with Alzheimers, I felt profound peace knowing that he spent his last years in such a warm and welcoming environment. His time at Elmcroft was a blessing and a gift.

My mother has been a resident at Elmcroft on Brockington road for one year. Since then me and my three sisters have noticed a huge improvement. Mom has Alzheimers and that will never improve, but the care she receives and the planned activities has helped her feel she has a purpose. She has a new family with the staff and other residents. Donna Hester is the best and wants only the best for her residents. I would highly recommend Elmcroft to anyone.

Making the decision to move a loved one out of their home is difficult. The staff at Elmcroft helped me all along the way. My husband was well taken care of which is the most important thing. They really took the time to get to know not only him but myself. I never had to worry at night anymore they gave me a great sense of comfort knowing that they loved him and took good care of him. They offer many activities to do there and encourage independence but help in the areas a resident needs help. The care adjusted with him so as he started to decline and needed more the care changed along with him. How many assisted livings can say that they take the time to truly care about a person ? When he passed at the funeral I looked up to see staff coming in one by one to pay tribute to him including the administrator Donna, the head nurse Jean , the sales girl Benna, Connie the activities director, Linda the secretary, and even the Maintenance man Marcus came. These people became our family. I find myself missing them and visiting with them. I would recommend Elmcroft in Sherwood to anyone that needs help. There truly are good assisted living places out there and this is one. Good people
