Reviews The Heritage at Twin Creeks
July 2026
William, April and the entire Heritage at Twin Creeks staff are exceptional and they are very good at taking care of your seniors and making the process as turn key as possible. They have gone above and beyond for me and my family and show a level of care i haven’t seen at any other facility. They made this process as easy as possible considering the circumstances. Highly recommend.

My mom is in Memory Care at Heritage and I wanted to share how well she is treated by the staff. They are kind and caring. The Memory Care nurse is capable and has build a great team. We appreciate them very much.

If you can find a better team to run a memory care, let me know! April, Matt, and Will are proving that teamwork makes the dream work. From the care they give their clients to the attention they give their care givers, they are doing everything Right!!! ‘‘‘‘‘‘‘‘

I needed temporary (respite) care for my father while I was on vacation. Melanie, the Community Relations Director, met and exceeded our expectations. She scheduled a tour of the facility for me and my father; she went over the amenities of the facility. Melanie also set up a meeting for me with the medical staff to communicate/discuss the care that my father would need during his stay. The entire onboarding process for my father was thorough and well organized. Upon arrival, there was a welcome committee who greeted my father. They knew that my father is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, and they gifted him a nice Dallas Cowboys shirt; they made him feel special and welcomed. My father’s medication was administered per his doctor’s orders. Activities were planned every day to keep him engaged. The culinary staff was able to appease my father’s appetite despite him being a picky eater. My father enjoyed the bible study sessions held during the week and church services held on Sunday. My father spoke highly of Pastor Barrett who has remained in touch with my father even after his stay at The Heritage ended. The facility is clean. The resident rooms are spacious and exceeded the needs of my father. He had his own sitting area, kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom. During my father’s stay, Melanie was kind enough to schedule a call so that I could facetime with my father while I was on vacation. The entire supporting staff was very friendly, and they took good care of my father. The residents there befriended my father during his stay, and they remain friends to this day. In short, the care my father received at The Heritage at Twin Creeks (Allen, TX) allowed me to enjoy my vacation and recharge, and for that I am very grateful.

Melanie was so amazing ! The head nurse was so down to earth and really some one you want your loved one to be able to have watching over them! My mother did not qualify but if yours does it would be a blessing! The tenants are so happy and the facility is so clean!

My mom has lived at The Heritage since the beginning of January. When she was living with us, she wasn’t around friends her age and I certainly wasn’t able to keep her busy. That has changed since she moved to The Heritage. Whenever I go to visit, Mom is out in the common area with other residents playing games or doing crafts. Once a week, Suzie and Shambricka take them on an outing for a nice change. They’ve recently gone to the aquarium and the arboretum. Mom definitely has a more full and interesting life than I was able to provide for her. Suzie and Shambricka are always upbeat and have so many things planned for the residents. They send me pictures and post pictures on Facebook daily. It’s wonderful to see all the fun things Mom is up to! I do feel that Mom is well cared for here, but it is the social interaction that makes this place special. I always feel welcome when I come visit and there are monthly gatherings for the family which are fun for everyone!
April 2024
The Heritage is a great place for seniors who need assistance in their daily lives. My parents have been residents since January and love it. The entire team there are excellent! Special recognition to Peter and Suzie for their dedication to the quality of living, engagement, and care of residents. I highly recommend this place for those couples/individuals who require this level of care.
April 2024
We moved my mother here after she fell and broke her hip while living independently. It was clear she would need more help and we are so glad we found Heritage! The staff genuinely care about the residents, and they really communicate well with the family. I travel a LOT and I have never had a problem getting an answer or an update (or a picture!) of my mom. They provide loads of activities, outings and engagement for her and she is doing even better than she was while living independently. She gets social as well as physical and mental engagement, and it has been so good for all of us.
April 2024
Our mom has been a resident at the Assisted Living community for 15 months. The experience has been first class from the first meeting/tour through today. The staff, a term which does little justice to the caring and helpful folks that make life better for our family, has been a blessing. They take a keen interest in ensuring the best experience possible for the residents and families. A look at the monthly schedule tells a little bit of the story. There are activity options for all, every day. Monthly, or more, family gatherings for Happier Hours or holidays, quality entertainment and several field trips, to name few. For those who don’t live as close as we do, there are Facebook postings for family and friends. A quick scan will show many smiling faces! We are all very pleased with everything about The Heritage at Twin Creeks! We would have given six stars if that were an option
April 2024
This is the best place I could've found for my mother. Everyone is so friendly and engaging and the activities are the best.
April 2024
My mother moved into assisted living at The Heritage In May 2021. Throughout her time there, she has received wonderful care and friendship from the staff. She has been treated as family by all. The facility is top notch and its size is small enough that the residents are not overwhelmed. Recently Mom's memory problems have worsened and we decided to move her into the Memory Care wing. The transition has been very good for Mom (and me!). Thanks Peter, Suzi and Judy for your guidance and help. Moving a loved one into an assistance facility cand be a very stressful situation. I cannot emphasize he grateful my family and I are to them for their care and kindness. I highly recommend The Heritage. Steve Grice ps Mom will be 99 this year!
April 2024
The staff and management at Heritage at TwiCreeks is outstanding. My mother has been a Traditions resident for about 3 months. The care and attention the staff shows thier clients is miles beyond the other places my mother has been a resident at. The activities director and staff are amazing. They have my mom doing things she hasn't done in years. From top to bottom, a first class staff, all with the same goal in mind....taking exceptional care of the residents and making them feel welcome and loved. Thank you Peter and crew, you guys are great!

The staff at Heritage at Twin Creeks is truly inspiring as they are genuinely so happy to be there and striving to help their residents as much as possible. The residents are lovely and it’s nice that there is a good balance of both men and women. The community is clean and offers fun social activities everyday, and the food that the chef and his team prepare is so good! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a happy, comfy, and safe place for their loved one(s).
March 2021
My mother has been here for a year and it has been a blessing for our whole family. From the beginning, Paula and Suzie have been wonderful to us in our concern to locate just the right place for her. With COVID, a grim, scary reality, the staff rose to the special demands on all of them. Mary, the ray-of-sunshine concierge, told me that being there is a calling for her. April and Alicia, as well as other caregivers, are in communication with us and responsive to her needs and our requests. FaceTime set up by office staff is our important contact. Both April and Alicia have initiated sessions when either Mother or I asked. Scheduled daily activities provide stimulus and fun.... Haircuts and manicures... The loving hugs from Paula, bus trips with Suzie and April to Starbucks, Dairy Queen, Braum’s- the photos, which I share with family all over the US! Special caregivers-the best reason to appreciate Heritage!
March 2021
I am a resident at the Heritage (for three years now) and we have the best staff in town! The workers are like family to us and we like to cut up and have FUN! The food is really good and they have wonderful desserts which I really like. There is always something going on and we all have a good time together. I would highly recommend the Heritage at Twin Creeks to anyone.
June 2020
My dad moved into the Heritage at Twin Creeks in April 2019 around the same time that Paula West-Hicks became the Executive Director of the facility. Paula has been an advocate for my dad since he moved in and I think she's done a fabulous job dealing with the Covid-19 restrictions regarding visitations. Paula and Suzie Powell ( Social Director) came up with a creative idea of how we could visit our loved ones in front of the building and not risk infection. My dad was on the enclosed patio behind a stone wall, and I could visit him from the other side of the stone wall. I can book a one hour visitation time. Paula has kept all residents safe from Covid-19. These visitations are so important to me to be able to see my dad during these quarantined times! The executive staff and the Med Techs will make sure your loved one is well taken care of at the Heritage! Hopefully in the near future we can get back to visitations inside the building and the fun social events that Suzie plans for the residents every week!
June 2020
The Heritage has taken such great care of my mother Angela for the past 3 years she’s been there. She is only 63 with end stage Alzheimer’s and they give her comforting care. I appreciate all they have done over the years.
June 2020
My dad has been living in the Assisted Living facility for a little over 2 years. He is very happy here. The activities program is AMAZING - lots of variety and very creative ways to keep my dad involved. The staff is caring and helpful, but sometimes they seem a little overworked and stressed. At first, there was alot of turnover with the executive staff, but I hope corporate has made any necessary changes that will encourage the current Executive staff to stick around, they are making a positive impact to the community. They take the time to address my concerns and when my dad has concerns they treat him with respect and dignity. This is a happy, joyful place and you will not regret the decision to move your loved one into this facility.
May 2020
Just want you to know I can’t really express my gratitude for all you and the staff at the heritage do for the residents. The videos are priceless and I’m saving each one for the future. Thank you!

My dad stays here and has been here since it opened. Simply put, they do a great job!!!!!

I recently visited a friend at the Heritage at Twin Creeks and I must say I was quite impressed. The place is very attractive, light and bright, and appears comfortable and homey. Also impressive is the caring and concern for the residents exhibited by the staff members. What a nice place to call home.

September 2019
Staff is wonderful, just fabulous. Alisia and Emily in particular are fantastic!
August 2019
My Mom lives there and the staff are very nice to her and she likes it there, but I do have to say something about the food there. I visited my Mom and had dinner with her one day, they served her a BBQ brisket sandwich, they put so much sauce on the sandwich that she couldn't eat it. I told the server and she just took the sandwich away and would not give her another one. Often time, if she doesn't like the food, she would just go away hungry. I wish they would offer her something else.
August 2019
The Heritage at Twin Creeks has been a Godsend for our family. Our mom has been in Traditions (memory care) for two years next month. The biggest draws for me and my two sisters were the staff - felt like family from the moment we first visited, and second, memory care is not a dark hallway where you feel like your loved one is just put away and forgotten like in so many other facilities. The Traditions building is beautiful and spacious with several group areas, a great outdoor patio and gardens and extra large bedrooms and spa-like bathrooms. Yes, there have been a lot of upper management changes, and yet, those changes have been more difficult for us than for her and only for us because we then need/want to get to know the new folks. However, the staff who care for our mother care deeply. We believe she is safe, secure, loved, looked after, clean, well fed, and provided activities inside and outside and outings in the van with Suzie - who goes above and beyond to send me pics of mom, since I'm not on Facebook. When issues arise of concern to us, because we all know nothing is perfect, we know we can reach out and it will be addressed and fixed. Period. Maybe because we have taken the time to build relationships with as many of the staff that we possibly can? I don't know, but I do believe it's a partnership. Yes, we pay for their services, but it's also our loved one, so we are in this together. I would fill up this page if I named all the amazing ladies and how they've helped us and our mom - from laughing with us when we want to cry to cleaning up "messes" while we're visiting, because we just don't have the incredible care giving gifts they have - thank you, ladies! Sorry for my lengthy post, but knowing what a hard decision it is to make to select a place to care for your loved one, I believe you have to hear from folks who have experience with the facility. Our family would choose The Heritage again and when we see folks coming to check it out, we tell them the same thing being written here. We LOVE The Heritage at Twin Creeks - the grounds, the building, etc., but most of all the wonderful ladies who take such good care of our mom! THANK YOU, ladies, from the bottom of our hearts! The Boese Girls

Do not put your loved one in this facility!! My mom and dad were residents of the memory care for 1.5 years and I loved it when they moved in. But, when all of the top managers were fired or quit all at the same time, the care, compassion and communication ended! In the past 2 months, there's been rotating people from corporate (Surpass) and I've done nothing but complain in person, through emails and phone calls to corporate. Finally a month ago, I was called into the office for a meeting with multiple managers and nurses and told "obviously we are not meeting your needs so you should find another facility for your parents." I gladly looked at numerous other memory care facilities and just moved them out...and took their $7,000 per month rent with them. When the nurse at the new facility compared the med records from Heritage and their doctors orders, we found out that both of my parent's meds were all messed up. They were giving meds that the doctor had discontinued and they were not giving meds that were on the doctor's orders! There was usually only 3 caregivers for 30 memory care residents, and one of those was in the med room with the door shut. (and I was told numerous times that this is enough and is "the norm") This left 2 caregivers for 30 people with significant mental and physical deficits. The activities they used to do had pretty much ended and my parents were just placed in front of the tv all day. On numerous occasions, I went to visit during meal times and no one was helping my mom eat so she was sitting alone with a full plate of food - and she is diabetic! One day I went and my dad didn't have any other pants besides the ones he was wearing. Their laundry was constantly put up after being washed and not completely dried, so it would mildew. They would not give out their cell phone numbers or a way to contact people when family members had problems at night or on the weekends. Check out their deficiencies on the state website from Texas Health and Human Services for Long Term Care Providers.

We visited the Heritage at Twin Creeks in June 2017. The overall appearance of the grounds and buildings were immaculate, both inside and out. As we toured the facility the staff was always gracious and interested. Even the maintenance employees went out of their way to be helpful and informative. There are many amenities through-out the facility. This facility epitomizes what an assisted living center should be.

Beautiful facility. I was impressed by the friendly staff and the modern education facility for the residence. I have visited other facilities for my aging parents and this is the best by far.

I am currently looking for an assisted living for my parents and hands down I am so impressed. I have popped in several time's and have gotten a warm welcome from the concierge and staff. They even invited my parents and I to a wonderful lunch. The people living there came up and welcomed my parents and had nothing but good things to say. We will be choosing them after their house sells.
