Best of all the assisted and memory care facilities that I have seen. Great staff here, especially their nurses and medical staff. Arbor Terrace is a home with a great friendly environment for people who need some extra attention. It has a warm and welcoming feel to it, rather than a place where people feel lost and forgotten. It is a beautiful and well kept facility that makes me comfortable to have my family here. There is a lot of anxiety when trying to find a place to move a loved one into and I want to especially want to thank Jenna for her amazing help to make the move here easy. She patiently answered all my questions and made me feel great about making this difficult choice. My loved one has a new home, and is not just another person filling a room. I enrolled my mother to live at Arbor Terrace recently. Through the entire process of getting everything set up, Jenna Smith and her supervisor Stacy, couldn’t have been more wonderful. They made everything seamless and easy and always made me feel like I didn’t have to worry about anything, that they would handle it. The staff is always friendly and kind, and the residents always seemed happy. I felt like I could reach out to Jenna anytime with any questions at all, and she never made me feel like I was a pest. She always answered me right away as well, which was very helpful. I highly recommend Arbor Terrace. It’s a beautiful facility with great care but most importantly, the staff really cares.

Great facility! My father initially had 2 respite stays at arbor terrace. They were able to bring him right in from the hospital, set up his room and provided exceptional care. At that point he was able to return to living on his own after a 30-60 day respite stay. Once it came time for him to move into assisted living permanently, arbor terrace was our first choice. The staff retention is phenomenal with almost all staff still there and remembering him by name from several years back. Front desk staff always has a smile on their face and are beyond helpful. The nursing staff and aids are on top of it and no request requires a follow up. Jenna specifically was beyond helpful in the transition each time. True life saver and made the process for the family that much easier. Moving a loved one to an assisted living facility is not easy, but arbor terrace truly made this an easy, smooth and happy process. I am so happy to have made this decision for my father and truly feel his quality of life has significantly improved after moving in. Give it a try!

Researched AL options in the area. Arbor Terrace Shrewsbury topped the list for us, driven by the sense of team among the staff and the focus on care (and meeting the unique demands of a given care situation - with emphasis on we can get that done). Following our decision, a few more variables came into play, and the team here pivoted as needed. And the first days have been a good balance of caring and letting people adjust. The property is nice and green, spacious, and set back from the road. The building feels well maintained. Food is great. Overall, exceeds expectations. I highly recommend considering Arbor Terrace Shrewsbury.

In April 2025 Mom at 95 years old moved into Arbor Terrace. She had been living at home but seemed to be slipping and was becoming more depressed as a result of not being ambulatory as of December 2024--up until then she was able to move around her home with a walker and with some aides. Almost overnight she could do nothing for herself. Visitors were less frequent and she could not get out without a lot of help. It was hard to know what would be best for her but she suggested moving into an assisted living facility so I started doing my research in March. My research led me to Arbor Terrace and fortunately, the helpful guidance of Laura Milo, who met with me, answered all of my questions and welcomed me back for a second visit after I visited other local facilities. I spoke with families of residents and also was struck by the environment when I visited. Lots of activities and smiles from residents and staff, who seemed to mingle naturally. I realized that Mom deserved a chance to have better quality of life, make new friends (most of her lifelong friends had passed by age 90 and she missed them terribly) and see me more often (it's close to my home, while she lived an hour away previously). Fast forward to August '25 and Mom has lived there now for 4 months and while none of us ever know what the future holds I can say this: Mom has made new friends and eats lunch and dinner with them regularly (the food is generally good but Arbor should listen to residents' suggestions for changes). Mom has engaged in community activities from BINGO to entertainment options (musicians who come regularly), the special events for holidays, and Happy Hours on Thursdays and wine and cheese on Fridays. She was always a social person and is able to be social again. Family visits have been nice as family and friends are always welcomed. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. The Executive Director and the leadership team are available via phone and text and their responsiveness is impressive. Further, I had been through this process before for my aunt (Mom's younger sister) and I can tell you not all assisted living homes are equal--in fact, my aunt spent time at one in Hamilton NJ that looked like a 5-star hotel but the service and care was horrible. Unfortunately my aunt had to move on to a nursing home but that nursing home was an improvement over her prior home! I am thankful we found Arbor Terrace and for Mom's improved quality of life at this stage of life. The facility is always clean, filled with light and life, and Mom's 1BR apartment looks very much like her living room and bedroom at her former home. What I had believed before Mom moved in holds true: Arbor Terrace is a place that cares, retains good employees for the long term and welcomes residents from Day One.

My Mother in Law spent two months at Arbor Terrace where she was loved and cared for. She was moved because they were no longer able to meet her dietary needs at the previous assisted living. (@ Atria @ TInton Falls.) It ended up being a Blessing. WE only wish we knew about Arbor from the beginning. she was on their Memory Care unit run by Joann who stays on top of everything and keeps you aware of everything that is going on . If you choose Arbor Terrace you'll be Happy you did. All of these assisted living are not created equal. Atria did not serve her well at all. they kicked her to the curb after they spent over $ 2200,000.00. of her money to live there .. It was a corporate decision, We were told, but the visiting nurse it was because she no longer projected the image they wanted to project. i thought it very disturbing to uproot a 97 year old who was accustom to a certain routine and certain faces. I Thank GOD that she spent her final days at ARBOR TERRACE.Thank YOU Again

My sister and I visited many places and we knew right away that Arbor Terrace was the place for our Mom. Laura Milo is amazing. She answered all my questions and trust me I had a lot. And still do today. She never rushed me into making a decision and when the time came she was there with us every step of the way. The facility itself is beautifully maintained. The common areas are spacious and inviting, providing plenty of room for social interaction. Arbor also offers a wide range of activities and programs to keep the residents active and engaged. The entire staff is friendly and amazing. We are always greeted with a smile from everyone. After only one month, we already see an improvement in our Mom and she never misses Bingo. Overall, Arbor Terrace of Shrewsbury is a wonderful place for my mom to call home. Our original plan was to have my 91-year-old mother reside in her home and to start the arduous task of hiring the necessary 24 hr. support that she was going to now need. At the same time, my 86-year-old uncle was also in need of assisted care living so it was my mission to find the most appropriate place for both. After having toured 5 local centers I decided to choose Arbor Terrace Shrewsbury for a number of reasons. All scored high in terms of cleanliness, but you can also feel the warm and welcoming environment as soon as you walk through the doors and enter into the grand foyer where activities are always taking place. The rooms that both my uncle and mother are in are kept very clean and are in nice locations. There are plenty of activities/events scheduled for anyone interested in participating and all meals are served in the main dining room which is beautifully decorated. Anytime I have had any questions/concerns, they have always been promptly addressed. It doesn't hurt that I have a good friend who works there and that sealed my decision.

This community is senior living at its best for independent, assisted and memory care. It is tucked back on a private road and you would not know you are just off Shrewsbury Avenue. There is plenty of parking for residents and guests right outside the main entrance. Many of the residents sit outside if they wish. It is quiet, well maintained, safe, monitored by staff and a few sheep (ok they are not real sheep, but it could fool you), plenty of comfortable seats in the sun or shade. Once inside and past the front desk, there is a large atrium 2 floors high, grand piano, huge fire place, library, dining room, and 24 hour cafe. Everything is spotless. The staff are fully engaged with the residents. You will not see staff on their cell phones while the residents are taking part in an activity. They are involved and that is a huge difference from some other senior communities. The activities calendar is jam packed with in house things to do, live entertainment, and bus trips. There are plenty of places to mingle or be quiet with views of the gardens. Another thing you'll notice is everyone smiles and says hello. I entertain at quite a number of senior communities and I can tell you that this community is delivering a wonderful experience for the residents, their family, and guests. It is a must place to visit and experience if you are thinking about making the move to senior living.

After circumstances led my mother to require assistance, we were seriously considering 24-hour at home care when her rehab facility strongly suggested a respite stay at Assisted Living. While doubting Mom would move into Assisted Living permanently the 30-day offer made too much sense to refuse. We weren't halfway through her stay when Mom, along with me and my brothers, recognized that this was the place for Mom to be. Just 3 months prior Mom had been adamant that she would live out her life at home but the care she received at Arbor Terrace changed her mind - no persuasion required. While the entire experience - the food, the care, the friends she made, etc. - was very good it was the people who worked there that made the real difference. Mom, my brothers and I were in complete agreement. Every person made Mom, and us, feel welcome. It has now been over 2 months since Mom moved in and our whole family sleeps better at night knowing that Mom is in very good hands. Thank you, Arbor Terrace Shrewsbury,

We moved my parents into Arbor Terrace (Shrewsbury) last week. We looked at a few places before we met Jenna at Arbor Terrace and we felt this was the best place for them. The staff are compassionate, caring, and really make them and my family feel comfortable. The facilities are top notch, very clean, and well maintained. They go above and beyond for my parents to care for their needs and try their best to accommodate their requests. My mom recently passed but had lived at Arbor Terrace in the memory care unit for about 3 years. I cannot state how much I appreciate the care and attention that all the staff showed to my mom while she lived there and also in her final days. The manager of the memory care unit is Joann Smith. Joann was with me when my mom passed and I will always be grateful to her for being there with me during a difficult time. The overall experience has been positive and I would recommend Arbor Terrace Shrewsbury to anyone that is currently searching for an assisted living facility or memory care unit.

My mom has been a resident of Arbor Terrace for two weeks and so far I am very happy with the care she is getting from not only the nurses and aids but also the activity and maintenance staff. There are many activities and they make sure they get my mom to as many as she wants to attend during the day. There is always someone there in the front offices to help with basic everyday questions. The building is clean and fresh and well lit and they are building a new front porch area for residents to sit outside in the front of the building which will be a welcome addition to several outdoor sitting areas in the back of the building.

Go off hours...when least expected. Care is not as good as prime time visiting or holiday visiting day hours, when staff knows visitors will be there and make everything seem good and nice. Read Yelp reviews. Better accuracy than Google's. In response to Arbor"s response below, many, many, many conversations have taken place with Meghan, Debbie, etc by 4 siblings within 20 month time frame. A lot of nods of the head, nothing changes. Staffing needs serious changes....in attitudes as well as much needed training they will utilize, not take to just receive a certificate so they completed the mandatory course. Be happy I'm unable to post my pictures of my proof because I won't embarrass my mom. The happy pictures you post on social media are all residents that can take care of themselves! Terrible care and coldness by your staff is a complete reality for those who live there and can't take of themselves! Your reply on Google is for marketing sake, for everyone to see, that's all!

Can’t say enough good things about this community and its wonderful team. I helped move a client in from an acute rehab and the entire move-in process was smooth and seamless, from the assessment with Debbie to Jenna furnishing the suite and the care team warmly welcoming my client upon arrival. From day one (before, even!), Executive Director Megan has been accessible and involved. All care managers have been kind and patient (special shoutout to Elsie, who is lovely! & I believe Izzy, forgive me if I’m forgetting). Any concerns/issues have been addressed immediately. My client is settling in beautifully and I’m so happy. I would trust and recommend this community to anyone!

Dad has been well taken care of at Arbor Terrace Shrewsbury. He loves playing Bingo and participating in the activities, and enjoys the meals as well. The staff has been very responsive and accommodating whenever we have a question or request. There are medical professionals regularly checking in with him for all his needs, usually right on site, which makes it easy to ensure he's well taken care of. Moving into an Assisted Living facility is a major life change, but Arbor Terrace Shrewsbury has made it seamless!

Beautiful facility and grounds, very clean bright and airy. My loved one's room is cozy and inviting with a large window and pleasant view. Her room has everything she needs from a small kitchenette to a private bathroom. She raves about the excellent food and staff. The staff is warm, inviting and responsive when needed. I am a hospice provider with VNA , I am always greeted very nicely upon my entering the facility the front desk staff are friendly and pleasant. My residents live mostly on the memory care unit. Joanne heads a lovely staff, I come to visit and my residents are neat and tidy and well cared for. The med tech and nurses know the residents and we work together to collaborate the needs of each resident. All the staff is personable from the dietary aide, HHA, housekeeping and especially the wellness director. Debbie is always willing to whatever it takes to see each resident is well cared for my colleagues and myself feel as if we are partners in providing outstanding care to the most venerable population.
