The staff take fantastic care of Mom here in a lovely calm atmosphere. The rooms are just the right size, well laid out and kept clean and tidy. The activities bring most of the residents together each day and they have created a great camaraderie together.

My group, Charlee’s Angels, goes to Sunrise every few months to entertain the residents. They are all well dressed and tell us that they love living there and everyone always has such big smiles on their faces! The staff loves to join us and always helps us dance with the residents! Rebecca is a wonderful Activities Director and she and the Administrator are always searching for fun things and groups to help entertain the residents. They care. And it shows. And I cannot end this review without mentioning the home’s fabulous Golden Retriever, Kate!

Sunrise is a very special place. First class from the staff and how they care for the residents, to the amount of detail put into events, all the way to the world class meals that are made for the residents to enjoy!!! + 5 =10 Sunrise on Jefferson Hwy in Baton Rouge, LA is the BEST! They have taken excellent care of my mom. I have always been contacted if there was a need. And to know Each and Every day that my mom is getting the best of care that is possible is a blessing that you can not put in words. The staff is very proactive in assuring that she has the best of care! MichelIe Scott is excellent as an administrator and takes care of all like they were her mom. I know as I had my mother at a facility that came very close to ending her life on earth because of not keeping eyes on the patients. God Bless all the workers at Sunrise and their families! Taking this journey, I was not sure what to expect. I was my father’s caregiver, but Sunrise welcomed us in and took very great care of my father. The staff was wonderful to us and my siblings. I was very great full for the Veterans Day Program as I was able to see my father proud holding his head high with the sparkle back in his eyes. I would highly recommend this facility to any one struggling with having to make a decision where to put a love one.

My father-in-law spent 5 years at Sunrise of Baton Rouge before his passing about a year ago. The staff there, from nurses to care managers to housekeeping, always treated him with compassion and respect. Especially appreciated was an early morning check that found him to have suffered a stroke, preventing even further damage. I personally was so pleased with his care that when they approached me about a part-time driver position, I willingly agreed. My wife and I will always be grateful for Sunrise’s care in life and in death

I am really grateful for the care that my uncle receives at Sunrise Senior Living. I love the one-on-one meetings that I have with the staff regarding his care plan and the attention to detail that the staff shows. Whenever there is an issue it is addressed quickly and as a family member it means a lot to know that his health, comfort, and safety are top priority.

The first thing that attracted me to Sunrise was the cleanliness. I also noticed fresh flowers on the dining room tables. But honestly I had some serious problems here. It wasn't until the new director, Michelle Scott, came on board that I felt I was heard & the some of the main problems were immediately addressed. Michelle treated me with respect, understood, and encouraged me to keep moving forward in the plans I was making for my life. These simple gestures have made my life a long with my family's life something to be grateful for

But some people look for reason to complain if their complaining about Sunrise then they will never be happy. A little while back, I was invited to come and play the piano for the lunch service. I played through a few praise and worship songs while the residents sat to eat lunch. They were very receptive and enjoyed the music while eating. The staff was very amazing and invited me back. I will be reaching out soon to plan another event to give some joy and praise to the residents of Sunrise!!
