Community can be defined as a 'state or feeling of caring about and wanting to interact with others in a group'. This is what you will find at Maplewood Brewster. Our father was fortunate to have spent two years in an assisted living apartment at Maplewood. Beginning with our initial contact, we found all members of the staff smiling, laughing, talking with and assisting the residents who were equally engaged. The sense of a healthy community was real and pervasive. We were impressed with the multitude of activities and services provided every single day. Movies, day trips, men's club, arts and crafts, exercise classes, current events, church services, musical performances, even a language class lead by a resident. Our dad was an active participant in the outdoor gardening experience having his own buckets to plant and tend while admiring the efforts of his neighbor's gardens. The food preparation is excellent, creative with several options to choose from each meal. When medical needs arose, the staff was immediately present and supportive providing the care needed. We give our experience at Maplewood Brewster an A++!

My mother had an unplanned need for a senior living facility, and when we learned Maplewood had availability, mom was excited to move right in. First of all, Maplewood has to be one of the most beautiful, eye-pleasing facilities we've ever seen. Plus, they continue to refresh areas, furniture, fixtures despite the facility barely being 10-years old. The staff treated my mother like a queen - from the head director down to the dining room staff, everyone made sure my mother's time at Maplewood exceeded our expectations. The rooms are large with high ceilings that can be decorated to taste. The food has mostly been outstanding (everyone can have an off day once in a while), and the programming - especially the outside musical performers, were attended by all and thoroughly enjoyed. Mom will miss her friends at Maplewood dearly.

The tour was thoughtful and never rushed, and the team took the time to truly connect with my mom and understand her needs. We left feeling confident and excited, and I’m truly looking forward to my mom becoming a resident here. This community feels like home.

We are excited that my mom has become a resident at Maplewood in Brewster. The community, which is less than 10 years old, has been almost completely renovated over the past several months. Mom will definitely be comfortable while participating in a variety of daily activities. Thus far, we are very appreciative to the help and guidance provided by Samantha (Sam) Marrow, Jenna Coulsey, and Julie Wing. We are also very thankful for our initial interactions with Kim (in the dining room), Holly (in the exercise/strength center), Kenroy (in maintenance), and Abby (at the front desk). Maplewood provides a safe place for mom coupled with an extremely positive and nurturing environment.

Brian and Meredith gave me a wonderful tour of Maplewood Senior Living in Weston, and it still remains top of mind. The rooms are beautiful, and the common areas are top-notch”perfect for unwinding and socializing. The entire facility is well-maintained and has the charm of a classy boutique hotel. My Brother has been a resident of Maplewood at Brewster since March 2018. From his (and our) initial visit/tour, to Maplewood, he declared, this is where I want to live!! This is it. We had looked at four assisted living facilities and Maplewood won him over hands down. The facility is beautiful!! Inside as well as outside. Very impressive to say the least. Staff are top notch. From the concierge, aides, dining, program, nurses, and administrators, -I have been so impressed with each and EVERY single member of the Maplewood at Brewster excellent staff! It’s remarkable to me to have a large group of staff who truly understand, appreciate, and respect this population! My sister and I have so much admiration for Maplewood, and like our brother, consider this assisted living community to be Top Notch! We consider it the best of the best. If you are looking for a residence for a loved one, please look no further.

My mom is cared for so lovingly and she has the highest regard for Kim, the dining room manager. She always has a smile and a positive attitude! Also Robyn in the activities room is extremely patient with an uplifting spirit. We realize Holly and Peter are ending their work at Maplewood and we can’t thank them enough for their dedication and care!!

My father has been a resident at Maplewood at Brewster for 2 years. My family has been very happy with the service and care provided to my dad. The food is excellent, there are plenty of activities to keep everyone busy, and the staff really treats their residents like family. I have dealt with Theresa Mason, Executive Director, since my 94 year old father moved there. She has been very helpful and always going the extra mile to get me any information that i needed. My Mom was a resident at Maplewood at Brewster for the past five years. Unfortunately she passed away last November at age 106. Her time spent at Maplewood surpassed all of our expectations regarding "was this the best place for my Mom since she could not live at home any more". We moved some of her beloved furnature into her studio apartment and she felt very secure and nearly "at home". She became a resident at the very beginning of the Covid pandemic. Maplewood's pandemic protocols were complete and strickly enforced until the very end. The attention to detail regarding cleanlyness and daily routine made her feel especially welcomed. Three delicious meals per day fulfilled her every desire and even took cookies back to her room for her midnight snack. The entire staff, hard to call them staff since they became like family to us, were always courteous and attentive to her needs. They came and paid their respects to her on her final day. Thank you Theresa and everyone at Maplewood at Brewster for the care and love given to my Mom in her final years on this earth. Sincerely, Peter Dibble

Maplewood at Brewster has been amazing when it came to Assisted Living and then Memory Care for my mother. Maplewood is family and the staff are all outstanding! My mother has been well cared for and kept safe during the darkest of times this past year. I have had total faith in their care, compassion, love and support for her. She has been kept busy with lots of wonderful activities, cared for by the best and fed with delicious and nutritious meals. I really couldn't ask for more and I will be forever thankful and grateful to the staff at Maplewood of Brewster.

I cannot say enough about Maplewood at Brewster. The staff is warm and welcoming. The food is incredible and the difference in my Dad within just a month was incredible. My Dad is a retired Veteran, who is not very talkative but sweet. Living alone was not an option for him and he had become depressed. He was sitting too much due to lack or drive for interaction and activity.... and in chronic pain due to this. With no one to talk to he became more of a recluse and at first we thought he was becoming a tiny bit forgetful (I was terrified that this may be due to onset of Alzheimers). He did not require assistance (a level of care), but if he missed a meal they would check on him. The staff helped him socialize in the beginning so my fear of him sitting alone was quelled. I sleep better at night! I love him so and no longer worry. Dad moved into Maplewood. Within a month (yes, just a month), he was less pale, having meals with friends, walking better with an improved posture AND his memory improved as he began moving around a socializing. His mind, body and spirit were being exercised ;0) I work in the healthcare field so my standards are extremely high. Maplewood does not disappoint in terms of elder activities and embodies what assisted living should be. We consider everyone at Maplewood our extended family!

Our parents have lived at Maplewood for two years and it has been an incredible experience for our family. The staff have treated our parents with such dignity, compassion and caring. The staff have also welcomed our large family into the Maplewood community and really made it feel like home. Our parents have made lovely friends, and enjoyed a lot of meaningful experiences. Absolutely beautiful place with wonderful caring staff. Clean, bright, airy, and spacious. Lots of common areas, lots of sponsored activities, wonderful upscale open dining, fabulous menu choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Medium-sized apartment with living area, separate bedroom, and kitchenette (fridge, sink, counter, cupboards, etc.) My mother lives here and loves it; and I say a prayer of gratitude every day that she is in such a wonderful place.
