So very grateful to have learned about Riva Ridge and their Memory Care home. It is a beautiful assisted living home with lovely hill country surroundings and views, nestled in a quiet neighborhood. The leadership, caregivers and other staff are a step way above the rest! As someone who has direct experience with a family member living at three other assisted living facilities, I can very honestly and in a well informed position, convey the care and services provided at Riva Ridge is a true blessing that I will always be grateful for.

Riva Ridge is an outstanding facility, truly best-in-class for all categories from the incredibly warm and kind caregivers to the home-like environment that is impeccably clean and inviting. We moved my grandmother to Riva Ridge from another nursing home where she was receiving very poor care. From the instant we entered Riva Ridge we were comforted by the warm greeting from the staff, the fantastic holiday decor (that felt like home) and the professionalism of Ken Missler (owner) and his wife Ivonne (staff manager), whom take great care to ensure that all residents are well cared for, comfortable and happy. During our visits, my grandma would tell me about the games she had played that week, the momentos she had received and many other beautiful moments that created memories of joy during her last year of life. From the day she arrived until her passing, the staff of Riva Ridge did a phenomenal job of caring for her, keeping my family apprised of any changes/needs that she had, and giving us all peace of mind that she had the best possible experience for her final year. I am forever grateful to Ken and Ivonne and the Riva Ridge staff for creating an environment of care, love and respect for my grandma, and I will always remember them with gratitude.

When we searched for a place for my sister in law, we knew that Riva Ridge Assisted Living was the right place as soon as we stepped inside . It is truly a home. The residents are treated with love and respect and fed wonderful home cooked meals catered to their needs. The Christmas luncheon featured a variety of meats and sides and all were delicious. I even asked Ivonne for some of her recipes! Ivonne and her staff went above and beyond in preparing and cooking a wonderful meal and making meaningful memories for the residents. Many thanks to Ken and Ivonne for the homey, loving facility that they have created.

Such a lovely nursing home, such a big space, and I could tell it was so welcoming. The Leander choir was very happy to sing here! Some of the choir deeply wanted to talk with some of the people there, it was so nice!

When it was necessary to move our family member to assisted living, this daunting task was made so smooth by Ken and his wonderful staff. They treated him with compassion and respected his dignity all the way through to his passing. The facility is beautiful in a picturesque setting. While there were other facilities to choose from, we feel very blessed that God lead us here.

I was blessed that the timing worked out perfectly for Mom to be able to have her respite stay with you, so that I could meet my grandbaby girl and get some much needed rest. You took on caring for Mom's many needs (advanced dementia, diabetes type 1, gastropareses, mobility issues, etc), and gave me so much encouragement and assurance along the way so that I could focus on resting. My mother's care at Riva Ridge was exceptional. I only wish I could have found them sooner. The care staff was kind and conscientious, bonding with her and creating a compassionate, comfortable and safe home for her during the final months of her life. The week before she passed, she celebrated her 95th birthday with all the staff crowded into her room with the family singing "Happy Birthday". It was a sweet moment of celebration that we will never forget.

Ken, Ivonne, and the staff at Riva Ridge, I am forever grateful and deeply moved by your love, compassion, and dedication to the people in your care and their families. Watching the care and respect everyone demonstrated for my mother is etched in my mind, especially during her last days, the tenderness and love was overwhelming. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I know that God sent me to Riva Ridge. He knew what my mother needed and what I needed. We found it at Riva Ridge. My mother found friends and loving caregivers that truly loved her and treated her like a queen, I found my role as her daughter again and it was incredible. To be able to be with her and just be her daughter was one of the greatest blessings for me during her last years. I could laugh with her, eat with her, take naps with her, share holidays with her, and love on her in so many ways.That time is a valuable treasure that will not be forgotten. My Mother was in the Assisted Living facility for four years. It is a beautiful place, organized, clean and run by a caring owner and his staff. I never worried about my Mother's care. Due to her decline both physically and cognitively, I decided to move her closer to me. I quickly learned that facilities such as Riva Ridge were not easy to find. Anyone looking for a 5 star Assisted Living/Memory Care should definitely check this place out.

We are extremely happy to have found Riva Ridge. The facility is designed so all the residents are in "eye-shot" of a caregiver. Their ratio of staff to resident is the BEST I have found in the Austin area and this is my dad's 5th assisted living facility. We keep moving him because we have never felt he was receiving adequate care. Don't ever think "what you pay is what you get: paying $10,000/month didn't ensure my dad's safety; he was bitten by another resident and another time was forgotten and found on the floor one evening. Riva Ridge is a hidden gem. You won't deal with corporate, you deal with Ken and he is ALWAYS available and willing to help. He has an incredible, compassionate staff, too. Thanks Ken, Heather, Stephanie, Jennifer, etc. Our days are much easier, knowing dad is in your care.

I really wished I had found this place sooner for both my parents. They lived in 3 other local communities and had less than stellar experiences there. We moved Mom into Riva Ridge Memory Care at the end of her journey and I cannot find the words to convey how very impressed we were with the facility, the staff, the director, and hospice that they recommended and worked with. It was over the top, just a beautiful, loving, caring experience. The director, Ken is an admireable and caring man who is very hands on, runs a tight ship, and is on top of things at every minute. He visited Mom every day. It was also evident that he has a genuine care for his staff and treats them amazingly well. The staff...Oh the staff! Every one of them so sweet, loving, efficient, knowledgeable, and above and beyond caring. A special thanks to Heather, you are an Angel! They also prepared a Venezuelan meal for Mom when we mentioned she liked a particular dish. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and the extra effort. Real people with big hearts, delivering genuine care. They genuinely wanted to know her, and us. More importantly, they did not miss a beat in ensuring her food, meds, positioning, changes, bathing, and everything else took place exactly when it needed to. They made sure she was in the best possible state of comfort until her passing. They we're kind and patient with her and with all of us and we witnessed that with everyone else that was there as well. I honestly did not believe that that level of care existed anywhere and I am forever grateful to all of you. You are all amazing human beings and we are so fortunate to have found you. Readers: If you are on the fence even price wise, don't think twice. This place is the greatest gift you can give your loved one and peace of mind that you chose the best for them does not have a price tag. These folks work hard and are genuinely caring, knowledgeable and precise. Nothing slips through the cracks. Not to mention the facility and setting is gorgeous, clean, and tranquil. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

The staff is attentive and personable, and handle her care needs with dignity and respect. The home-style facility is conveniently located to Austin, and is in a beautiful hill country setting. We are glad we found Riva Ridge!

Riva Ridge Memory Care was exactly what my mother needed. The personalized attention, the humor, and the family-like atmosphere fed her spirit as well as her body. She responded to the loving environment. The staff is nurturing and honest, as much a help to me as to my mother. I got an update every time I called or visited, and felt welcome at any time. The owner lives on site, and is very involved, adding an extra layer of confidence. The meals are enthusiastically received, and individual preferences taken into consideration. I would recommend Riva Ridge to anyone seeking a warm, caring refuge, with great staff to resident ratios. It is located on a large tree filled lot with access to large porches. This is the hidden gem of memory care!

My mother in law was living at Riva Ridge. She was treated like she was everyone's grand mother. They loved her and took such good care of her. They always made her family feel welcome and accommodated a large group of us on her birthday and other holidays. We could show up at any time day or night and they were happy we were there. It's always spotless and clean. The best part was that it felt like home. Thank you Riva Ridge.
