Loved this place, but understand the Executive Director is leaving after 25 years to work at another assisted living facility. I noticed on Indeed that there have been ads for at least three other Morningside House Exec Directors in the last two months. I'm concerned this says something about the parent company and how it treats their Executives. There must be a problem with so much turnover.

If you are looking for a place for your loved one look no farther. You found it. The staff from this assisted living home is the best i have ever seen. My family had a great tour of Morningside House of Friendship. The Staff was so friendly and welcoming and very accommodating to our needs. Melissa listened to all our concerns for our loved one and was able to put our minds at ease. She was a wealth of information and answered all our questions, always with a big smile on her face! As a community Social Worker, I am always impressed with the willingness of the staff to assist anyone who walks in their doors. The receptionist is extremely friendly, the Admission's Team are always available and helpful to the family's I bring in for tours. They have great communication. This community is women run and it shows!

My moms been a resident for a little over a month. I have no doubt that she is at the best place she could be at this stage of her life. The staff there is amazing with their gentle ways and how quickly they know a residents name and which room they live. And she gets regular, good meals and a community life.

My father is currently doing a respite stay at Morningside and the staff and other residents are so kind and welcoming - treating him like he is family. I wish he would stay permanently, but I know if we ever need them again we will not hesitate to come back!

Morningside House of Friendship is by far the best Senior Living Community in Anne Arundel County!! My grandmother gets wonderful care, the team is responsive and proactive in her needs and she loves her spacious apartment where she watches the planes fly in and out of BWI Airport. The decision to place your love one in a long term facility is a difficult one. It took a lot of research and prayer on my part, but I am sure God lead me to this place. Overall, the staff is dedicated and caring. The facility is well maintained and the staff is always eager to assist. Their monthly calendar is packed with wonderful activities to keep our love ones engaged. I am grateful to have found Morningside House of Friendship. No one or place is perfect, but they do their best with generous spirits, love, and attentiveness. Our family had a wonderful experience with Morningside House of Friendship. The their caregivers were very good to both my mom and dad, who were not easy people to deal with at all, even in their best days. Having piece-of-mind that they were safe, and not constantly worrying if they getting good nutrition sure made our lives easier. I highly recommend the facility, and a number of my wife and my friends have then had similar experiences with their parents.

Remarkable Memories ~ When our Dad courageously declared he and Mom could no longer manage their lives on their own, we knew we had to find a place that suited their differing personalities and needs. At home, they were eating poorly, missing medications, and finding it overwhelming to do chores like grocery shopping. I am grateful to this day that we found Morningside House of Friendship. Personality-wise, Mom loved socializing and being pampered while Dad was averse to much attention; he preferred to sit quietly and observe, walk, read, and watch TV. Morningside accommodated their differences perfectly! Morningside House of Friendship is small enough that staff members came to know my parents as individuals. This is a major reason Morningside is stellar: staff members get to know the personality, needs, and preferences of each resident. On the flip side, Morningside is large enough that my parents didn't feel like someone was always looking over their shoulders or that their world had shrunk too small. The longevity of staff was a major factor in the decision to select Morningside: many nurses, administrators, and other staff had been there for more than a decade. ...a good sign about quality-of-environment. The monthly calendar is full of varied activities. Mom loved jewelry-making, bingo, and more; Dad quietly enjoyed the movements and noises around him. He also loved to walk every day which Morningside accommodates easily with a paved walkway through a garden and another path to a gazebo. There are opportunities for worship, exercise, musical events, and contests. There is an in-house library, salon, and rehabilitation room. It is no small victory that my parents were pleased with the well-prepared and tasty food. And Morningside gave us great flexibility to arrange Mom and Dad's unit to reflect their tastes and memorabilia by adding shelves, window treatments, and even removing bi-fold closet doors to create an alcove. As the Director and others gently reinforced "This is their home." My parents have since passed, but to this day, I wish I could find the perfect words to convey how my very anxious and watchful family were utterly relieved, confident, and pleased by the care, comfort, and safety our parents found at Morningside.

My mother was at Morningside for respite care after surgery, and she was very happy there. Her care was excellent, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. She hated to leave when she was better.

This is an amazing group of caring staff!! I get invited to their events often which is really impressive. They have little parties and celebrations for residents which is so heartwarming. I have really grown to love stopping by for lunches because the environment is so warm and the location is really easy to get too. I would definitely recommend Morningside House of Frienship to any family in need of residential care for their loved one.
