My husband and I moved my parents into River Heights about 2 years ago. I live 3 hours away and it gives me great peace of mind knowing that they are in good hands. The staff are caring and kind. They call me when there are any problems or questions. I visit every 1-2 weeks and if I have concerns about my mom or dad they will address it. There are many activities to participate in. The breakfast, lunch and dinner menu always looks delicious. Beautiful outdoor patio to soak up some sun or just enjoy the trees and flowers. Over all I am very happy that my parents have a safe,clean caring home.

Mom has lived at River Heights for almost 2 years and it's such a good fit for so many reasons. First of all, the staff, from top to bottom, are all you would hope for. They're kind, considerate, empathetic, and know their business, all while having a sense of humor, which is huge in my book. The residence size is perfect too. Big enough to accommodate a variety of people, but small enough to be able to take each individuals needs into account. We lucked out when we were able to transition mom into assisted living here. If you're searching for the right spot and notice an opening here, my advice is to jump on it. You won't be sorry.

River heights is a wonderful place! There is always activities going on and the food is wonderful! The Resident Assistants are such a joy and they truly care for the residents. The community is truly a great and welcoming place to be! I highly recommend it!

My mom lives he i love it now ! She has all kinds of activities she goes to ! She likes the food! The staff is amazing so nice ! I love that there is physical therapy on site! I do think a little outdoor furniture may be good in front! Like a bench and the small patio area but maybe its too early:) i like the open area in front door to sit with family! I am very happy since i live in Georgia how they keep in touch!!!

My mom has lived at River Heights for 3 years and in memory care for the last six months. We've gone through the changes from both the purchase by Walker and the merger with Knute Nelson. There is definitely so much improvement. The life enrichment director (activities coordinator) provides so much stimulation for memory care residents. My mom would never join the activities before Arielle joined the staff and now she goes as often as she can. We are very grateful for how infectious Arielle is and how much she actually enriches the lives of the residents!

How do I correct the name that comes up when I log in? I think it would be helpful to have a receptionist- it is often difficult to find a staff member when I need to talk with someone. And she/he could control letting people in and misc paperwork.

I don’t understand why this center rating is so low. Vista Prairie is very nice. While visiting I noted the center is very clean, common areas very spacious & well designed. Employees are welcoming & go out of their way to accommodate my mother who moved into an apartment a few months back . Nice to visit & enjoy lunch or dinner in the dining hall as it’s very difficult to take mom out now.
