My mom has been there almost a year and she loves it there. The staff are nice, helpful, & caring. The food is great! Their are daily activities Monday thru Saturday. But this year they raised their price and cut back on activities. Interaction & activities with other people are important at their age. It keeps their mind active and them moving. Would have given a 5 star if they wouldn't have cut back on activities

Brookdale Senior Living in Penn Hills was a blessing for my Mom in her time of need. From intake to daily care, the Director and staff were responsive and caring. The facility is clean and welcoming. The monthly pricing was the best in the Pittsburgh Area for the level of quality care provided. I recommend this facility, it is more like a family home than private assisted living. Thanks to everyone who works at Brookdale Penn Hills.

Mom was there for 2 years and had a accident and ended up in a nursing care and then RETURNED back to Brookdale and has a wonderful experience coming back. Everyone has been up and above with welcoming her and meeting all her need. We love this place. She is 97, deaf and blind in one eye and well taken care of and the food is great

I can't say enough about the team at Brookdale of Penn Hills...we had a very challenging and emotional placement and Jill, Tish and the Administrator bent over backwards to help a gentleman move in with minimal disruption. It was a pleasure to work with all of them, and Thank You!

I am beyond pleased the staff and the care my Father has received at Brookdale Penn Hills. During these trying times with COVID spreading the staff has kept my Father safe. They have reported to me with any problems they are experiencing with updates. The facilities are always clean and cheerful. Father enjoys being there and says there is always something going on with their activities. I would highly recommend this caring facility.

Clean, quiet and friendly atmosphere! Rooms are spacious and do not look like hospital rooms! Dining room area clean. Staff was very friendly to me and seemed to take interest in the residents!

Brookdale was the last facility we looked at in our search, and I was already prepared to select another place. But actually visiting Brookdale, and talking to the staff there, made them our first pick for my in-laws seeking an assisted living facility. Brookdale is small and intimate, comfortable, with hands-on and friendly staff who are available for questions almost around the clock. We like everyone there, and more importantly, so do my in-laws. The environment is small but pleasant, the food is very good, and the medical staff has a good relationship with the visiting doctor, and that helps keep my mother-in-law's various complex and fluctuating conditions under control. One final point: there's at least one resident unable to move (at least not much), and we see her out and about with the rest of the residents, rather than just sitting in bed. This speaks well of the ability and motivation to get everyone participating, rather than staying in their rooms. We're very pleased with Brookdale, and so are my mom- and dad-in-law.

They always answer all my questions and if my mom can't answer her cell phone they go and help her with it. Overall I think it's good. They have sing alongs and play cards in the afternoon. They went on a field trip, I forget to where. It was offered to my mom but she decided not to go. The food is sometimes good and sometimes not. I think my mom needs to get out and do things. She's still afraid to ask to change the television channels in the main areas but that's her, it's not the facility. The staff seems to be very involved. They know everyone and are aware of where they are when you come to visit.
