I have lived for two years in a cottage (independent living) at Redwood Terrace. I moved in as a new widow after 63 years of marriage and during Covid. I chose to live here because I was impressed by the atmosphere of friendliness and genuine caring. I have not been disappointed and continue to enjoy my day to day life as an involved member of our community.

My 89 year old mom recently stayed at Redwood Terrace for 2 weeks following a stay in the hospital. My brother, mom, and I were so impressed with the level of care she received. First of all, she had her own private room…this is not the case in many other facilities. The staff was absolutely amazing, everyone from the people that cleaned her room everyday to the nurses, occupational/physical therapists, doctor, and other patients. She is now healthy and living independently back in her own home. Our family is very grateful for the staff at Redwood Terrace!

Redwood Terrace is our second Assisted Living facility and it will be our last. We are HOME for good and with the various levels of care (IL, AL, MC & SN) we can grow with this facility and not have to move locations. We love the food, activities and people. Also, with the alacarte services, it's much more affordable, which matters!

The staff is caring and friendly. The residents seem happy and you can sense a true feeling of community. My mom also appreciates the lovely and well maintained grounds.

This is a review for skilled nursing at Redwood Terrace. My father was a patient in skilled nursing for 12 days. The staff was consistently rude and put off when my father needed help or when his cardiology team would modify his medication orders. One nurse was openly disparaging towards my father and my family, saying "I have had enough of this patient and his family. I just spent all this time entering his orders, then he goes to the doctor and gets new orders. I am done with him." The level of unprofessionalism and contempt that the staff showed towards my father and my family as we attempted to advocate for him was unacceptable. I took him to a doctor appointment one day and the doctor admitted him to the hospital immediately due to how much he had deteriorated in their care. I recognize that being a medical staff and caregiver during COVID is especially difficult. However, patients are at SNF because they are sick and fragile and need help, they are not there to cause a problem to the staff. This is no place for some one to get well in. I never felt welcomed and was rarely even acknowledged when I would come in to visit by any staff member, from the front desk to the nursing staff. There were a few very caring CNAs, but by and large we were very disappointed by the quality of care. We did not return when he needed to go back to SNF after his hospitalization.

After my mom took a fall she went to Palomar hospital then to Palomar rehab. After a week or so my mom then was transferred to Redwood Terrace at my request once she finished Palomar rehab.Everyone was awesome and very helpful, knowledgeable, and caring at RT. Not to mention RT is super clean! The fist rehab I checked out smelled of strong urine and I though omg I hope they all aren’t like that! But nope they are not. Redwood Terrace wind my 5* review! Thank you to all the nurses, cnas, PT, OT, etc and everyone who was part of my moms team!

The nurses in the assisted living section are the best. They are very attentive and caring. My mom has been there for over 2 years and during that time I was able to rest knowing that she was well cared for.
