I recently visited Seaton Ocean Grove to check in on a client who has been a resident for about a year now. She is very content in her spacious room overlooking the ocean and pleased with the care as well. Patty Kern is always a pleasure to work with and I appreciated the tour she gave me of the newly renovated apartments! Can't beat the location and the affordable rates.

We had an urgent need to move my almost 90 year old father, newly in a wheelchair, into an assisted living facility about a month ago. After one phone call to Patty at Ocean Grove Assisted Living, the ball was rolling. Within a few days, they had visited him to assess his care needs and we had the paperwork complete and the movers set up to deliver my father's belongings. So many staff members were instrumental in helping facilitate this last-minute transition for my father. Every single person has been extremely helpful, kind, and compassionate. They made some "special exceptions" for our situation, for which I will be forever grateful, including a Sunday move-in for his belongings. My father has been there for nearly a month now and he has all the care he needs, is making new friends, has enriching activities to participate and a facility full of staff whose number one priority are the residents. Even today, one of the leaders there texted me a photo of my happy father after she helped him find his date book/journal. His room is cozy with an amazing view of the sea and the lake. My entire extended family is so grateful for this facility.

Ocean Grove Assisted Living & Memory Care has become family for my mother in the 2 1/2 years she has lived there. She graduated from indepedent level to memory care so we have experienced all 3 levels of care offered. From day 1, the flexibility and personalization offered with compassion was felt. I was allowed to stay with her for a few days to foster a healthy adjustment. The staff are responsive, courteous, empathetic and treat my mom with kindness, respect and patience. I am both a daughter and a professional in the field so I can tell you there is no PERFECT place. This is human services, people helping people but I would not have her anywhere else because of the staff's ability to build a strong, personal and loving relationship with their residents. Sometimes I cry with gratitude for how she is treated……

I have been visiting my loved one at Allegria for the past 3 years, and I've seen a lot of changes throughout that time. I have witnessed a lot of management change and seen good employees go. At times this felt very uneasy, but one constant for me throughout has been Christina, she has always been kind, patient, knowledgable, informative, and most of all productive. With Christina, I always felt seen & heard, with any adjustments my loved one needed, or any concerns our family has had. With another recent change of ownership, and a well deserved promotion for Christina, I feel confident of this being the best change by far, I feel a cohesiveness throughout the facility, and a general well-being with other teams, staff, and employees. To me, this is most important, because it's the people who will have the most effect in the environment of my loved one. The happiness, wellness, and cohesion of the staff and policies, this is where I want to see harmony, and recently I'm not only seeing it, but I'm feeling it too. It may have taken some time, but I can honestly say, I am very satisfied with Allegria's recent changes, I'm now excited for the momentum and I am very happy, feeling safe and confident of my loved ones care. A sincere thank you to Christina, all the terrific staff at Allegria.

Although we are not at the stage to place our family member yet, we had a lot of concerns and questions as we approach that time. When calling we were put in contact with Cristina. She was wonderful. We were feeling very overwhelmed and she answered all of our questions. I'm sure we must have asked 50 or more questions and she never once made us feel rushed or as if we were being annoying at all. She gave us information we needed to consider and look into before we are ready to take the next step. She also told us we could call her back at any time with any additional questions or concerns. This type of compassion, professionalism, and kindness will definitely have us reaching out when the time is right.

Memory care unit is drab and has zero activities for residents. Staff plays on phones while residents sit in urine soaked clothes. Many items went missing. Spa is advertised, but it’s used as a storage room. Moved my father mid month and company refuses to refund money. They sent a check written on a closed account. I’m getting a lawyer.

Patty took us (my Mom, my sister and me) on a tour of Allegria and two different studio units. Very informative. Was patient with us while we asked a multitude of questions. She stayed in contact with me and let me know when a one bedroom was available for us to see and gave us a tour yesterday. I can’t say enough good things about how well this went. Everyone we came in contact with was kind and helpful. The building is clean and bright, and has a wonderful activities room, library, dining room, and so much more. My mother liked everything she saw which means a lot.

I love Allegria, I give Allegria 5+ stars. The food is good here. The nursing staff is very nice and friendly. I get to hang out with my friends. I like to go to bingo, crafts and the night time movie. I love that I can walk to the beach and the lake. I love with the therapy dog Coco visits.

From the moment my mom entered allegria was just the best experience ever everyone was so nice! I love Allegria! I had been searching (during Covid) for a great place for my brother to live for months and months. After a recommendation, I decided to visit Allegria, but due to Covid I really couldnt see a lot of the activities and-or meet the staff. My brother also visited and immediately loved it. He kept telling me he wanted to live there. It was the compassion of the staff that helped me decide this would be his new home. Everyone was just so authentic and kind to him. I followed my instincts and I am so happy I did. My brother is thriving at Allegria. I am so grateful.

I would highly recommend Allegria at Ocean Grove. My 90 year old Aunt is in their assisted living facility and loves it there. The grounds are beautiful and she can see the ocean from her room. Living in Australia and being my Aunts closest contact the assistance the staff have given me has enabled me to rest assured she is being well looked after. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!We looked at many care facilities in Monmouth and Ocean counties. So happy we found Alegria at Ocean Grove. The staff could not be more compassionate and accommodating. They really make sure the residents are engaged and are always promoting social activities making residents feel more like family. The facility is very clean and well maintained. (Not to mention an ocean view from many of the rooms)We are especially grateful for the directors, Patty and Anna. Anyone who has been tasked with finding assisted living for a loved one knows what a worrisome process it can be as you educate yourself and navigate the many moving parts. It was becoming a trying experience... then I found Allegria. From the moment I met Patty she was compassionate and understanding towards my specific set of circumstances with my mother. She became a trusted source of information, often going above and beyond what her job entails. The Allegria was extremely helpful when it came time to help with my mothers needs. Patti Kern the marketing and sales director was a 5 star contributor. She guided us through every step and was there when we needed her at anytime. Super helpful in making my moms stay more comfortable. Special thanks to her. Renee the activity coordinator was also a charm. She really got mom involved in activities and encouraged her to become involved in the community. Big thank you to her too. The only thing that was a bit of a drawback was the the answering of the phone. They really should have a constant receptionist. That was most frustrating. But the facility was well maintained and a lovely location.

I have an aunt here, she is originally from ocean grove & it was very important for her to stay near the ocean. she lived alone for years after my uncle passed. We were all worried about how she would adjust to the move. She's been living in Allegria for 8 months now & she is thriving ! We haven't seen her this happy in a long time. All the staff members are so warm & friendly. They take her out on trips & do great crafts with her! I'm so grateful to everyone there.
