As a ministry, we visit different places. I stopped there and brought some items for the people, and I found the place to be clean neat organized, very humble people working there. I would have no problem putting a relative there bless those folks that work there.

Please go tour the facility for yourself. Reviews on here could possibly be from past employees. No facility is perfect. Have we had issues… yes. But every one has been addressed. If you ask, they will tell you… the good and the bad. It's your loved one… not the reviewer. Make your own informative decision. Go with an open mind… this is a difficult decision and you have to be a part of the long term process. Watch, listen, be informed. Appreciate the ones who are there to do the job because they WANT to. It's not easy. If it was easy, assisted living facilities would not be needed.

I have worked in senior care for the past 23 years so I know what all can go on and how everything operates. I moved my mother from a national owned AL company (a nightmare experience) recently and have been super impressed with the staff at North Pointe of Mayodan. Starting from the top - Kathy Petty has been exceptionally available to keep me updated on my mother since I live in another state. The day my mother moved in - the way she was greeted at the door to taking care of all her prized possessions that came with her - this group has given me great comfort and assurance that my mother is receiving quality care.

My Mom is a resident here and I love the care and attention she receives from the staff. They consistently keep my father and I up to date on medication changes and any behavioral issues. The young ladies employed there are dedicated and amazingly compassionate.

I recommend you tour our facility, decide if its a good fit for your loved ones. Our facility is full of Life, Love and surrounded by caring folks. Our Administrator is top notch. Come see us. Volunteer, wed love to have you. Merry Christmas and a blessed New year too.

This is a wonderful community and we really like it, especially since it is 15 minutes away from our home. We are able to bring my mother-in-law home for the holidays. She enjoys the meals and activities they offer daily. She is doing very well and the staff are learning to do better. A couple do very good, the new ones are learning and the others know how to improve. it is a really clean community and her room is always clean too. She needed her own little spot and they have fulfilled it.

I've been real pleased with it. I'm not really familiar with what activites they're doing. I haven't really witnessed it. I think they could beef that up more but it's a memory care unit so it's full job just to get them together and get them to eat. It's very close to home so it's really fit in well. For the money it's definitely something that's worthwhile. You hate for anybody's parents to not be able to stay at home but when you get to a certain point and need certain care, you just can't do it anymore. We went as far as we could go. I would recommend North Pointe.
