My uncle has been flourishing at Eddy Pond West since moving in about 9 months ago. He goes to exercise class every morning, goes on lunch and ice cream outings and other local trips often, and also attends wonderful live music shows right at the facility. He feels at home and praises the caring, welcoming staff, as well as the good and plentiful food. Staff members really get to know the residents and provide them with care and resources to assist them social/emotionally, mentally and physically to be their best selves. They offer activities satisfying many interests like trivia, arts and crafts, sing-a-longs, Wii bowling, bingo, movie nights, parties and more. Apartments and laundry are cleaned weekly, and there is even a hair dresser onsite. Our family highly recommends this very beautiful, clean and friendly facility.

I have lived at EddyPond East for 3 1/2 years currently and I would extremely recommend this facility to anyone looking for themselves or their loved ones. The staff treats you like family and often goes above and beyond. EddyPond East has an above average longevity rate for staff members. Residents are one big family and as such help transition the move to assisted living very easily and painlessly. Amy, the activity director, and Denise, our bus driver doubling as an activity assistant provides excellent programs, crafts, games, learning opportunities, exercise, and camaraderie. Cole, the maintenance manager, is very efficient at keeping the building up to code in a timely manner, always with a smile. Beth at the front desk is probably the most personable person you’ll meet, going out of her way to help residents with any questions they may have. Kate, the dunking manager, does her best to listen to residents and provide meals that they enjoy. The nursing staff and CNAs are right on the ball. They really take care of our needs. Sarah, the executive director, has the best eyelashes you’ll ever see. She sees everything and runs a great facility.

I love it here. I like this place because it feels like home. You can talk to people like the Activities Director and management. I am sometimes sensitive but I can talk to them when I am upset and they listen and help fix the problem. There is always something fun to do. I do really love it here.

So grateful for the wonderful staff at Eddy Pond west. Watching both of my parents decline from dementia has been excruciatingly hard but knowing my Mom is in good hands with staff that go above and beyond is a comfort in a hard situation.

When my aunt suffered a stroke, she was no longer able to return to the home where she had lived independently and thrived. My family suddenly found ourselves navigating unfamiliar territory and needing to secure appropriate care for her quickly. We toured several facilities, but the moment we visited Eddy Pond East, we knew it was the right place for her. From our first meeting with Lindy and through every subsequent interaction with the staff, it was clear that the entire team was committed to making this transition as smooth as possible”for my aunt and for our family. We utilized financing programs through Elderlife Financial, which allowed us time to prepare her home for the market, as well as the Aid & Attendance group, who guided us through the VA application process. Their support transformed what felt like an overwhelming undertaking into something manageable and straightforward. The kindness, compassion, and professionalism shown by every member of the Eddy Pond East team during such a difficult period left a lasting impression on us. Eight months later, the level of care, communication, and genuine concern for my aunt’s well‘being has remained consistently exceptional. The Health & Wellness team, in particular, demonstrates remarkable dedication, and even my brief interactions with the dining staff have shown how thoughtfully they engage with residents. Like many families, we initially questioned whether we had made the right decision. Time and again, the staff has reassured us through their actions that we absolutely did. I am deeply grateful for the care they provide. Knowing that my aunt is safe, supported, and truly cared for brings us a sense of relief we never imagined possible.

I would highly recommend Brookdale Eddy Pond East as a wonderful place to live or work. Residents have delicious and nutritious meals and actively participate in a robust program of activities/outings daily. The care team partners with residents to provide high quality, individualized care. The Eddy Pond East team has a lot of longevity and genuinely cares about residents; they truly become part of the family.

We moved mom to Eddy Pond West memory care unit 6 months ago. The transition for mom and our family was brutal and the staff at Eddy Pond could not have been more supportive and kind. They were able to brilliantly problem solve for us. Mom was barely eating, non social and very sad when she moved. 6 months later she is over 20lbs heavier tells everyone how much she enjoys the activities and all her friends. On all our visits the staff is seamless stepping in for each other as needed, very responsive to any questions and concerns I have and seem to genuinely enjoy the residents. One of the most difficult decisions we as a family have ever had to make and we couldn't be happier with our choice of Eddy Pond.

Over the past few years, as my mother’s health started to decline, the tough decision was made to move her from the familiarity of her home to a safer environment. After receiving recommendations from friends whose family members had been at Eddy Pond, we decided that this would be the best place her. Not only was this move to Eddy Pond in the best interest of my mother's physical health and overall well-being, it also brought me peace of mind that she was in the hands of a skilled and supportive team of professionals. Living out of state made it challenging to be actively involved in her care. The staff at Eddy Pond kept me updated and included me in decision-making when necessary. My mother's safety and care were my top priorities, and I am grateful for the attentive care she has received. Furthermore, the social activities at Eddy Pond are tailored to her abilities, the facility is well-maintained, and the staff and administration is accommodating and friendly.

The time came at 95 yrs old when doctors determined my mother could not live alone any longer. She needed assisted living. I am so happy we found Brookdale Eddy Pond West. The care and attention she receives is extraordinary. In the past my mother always kept to herself living at home. During her first month at Eddy Pond West she was playing bingo with other residents. She was out listening and singing along to live entertainment. The staff paints her fingernails for her. She has made friends with residents and staff. She no longer just sits all alone at home. This is the best decision we have made for her. She is happy again. I want to thank all the staff for making her feel at home in a new situation.

My Dad started at Eddy Pond East and eventually moved to Eddy Pond West, memory care unit. I spend considerable time with my dad and witness first hand the outstanding care which he’s afforded by the entire staff in this unit! The Director, April, treats every resident, as if they were her mom or dad. Now having said this, all personnel (nursing staff, aides, recreational director, and maintenance) have been wonderful. The residents all seemed to be engaged in many activities throughout each day. Finally, I am very pleased with the responsiveness of all the staff at this facility whenever I have an issue! A special shout out to Andrea at the front desk, who is always so friendly and very welcoming!

Exceptional care. Very professional. Employees went above and beyond their duties in caring for my aunt during her 2 + years there. Several available activities and trips for residents. Clean facility. Thank you caring for her during her stay.

I Highly Recommend this assisted living facility. We moved our Mom 1 week ago into Brookdale Eddy Pond West. The staff is absolutely amazing and I can not say enough about them. From the Director Ellen to Joe and all staff members including dining staff, activity director and maintenance Adam; all have made this transition happen with such ease. Their positive energy and attitude make the world of difference. Mom is happy and has friends to dine with and do activities. The food served in the dining room is delicious! Several dining choices to choose from and the kitchen staff takes pride in what is being served. We are seeing our Mom regain her happy go lucky, chatty self! The family is thrilled with facility and hands down one of the BEST Assisted Living Facilities in the area.

My Dad has lived at Eddy Pond West in Auburn for 4 years - through COVID which was handled well and later a management change. It is expensive but includes services (food, laundry, cleaning, activities) that give family peace of mind. The personal interactions with staff and other residents is most important. The staff knows him and his habits. I trust them to let me know if anything is "off". He's happy / we're happy. Brookdale Eddy Pond West is a good option for assisted living in the Worcester, MA area.
July 2023
I just needed to take a moment to share with the community about my experience with Brookdale at Eddy Pond West, Auburn, MA. I was so worried about having my mom live away from me. You see, she lived with me for 11 years. I took care of her along with my siblings and we all felt that she was doing just fine. Until the time came that she wasn't, and more care was needed than we were able to provide. Worried and scared, I called my friend at Brookdale. We began to have those tough conversations. The kind I didn't want to admit too. The doctors were explaining that she needed more care thank I or my siblings could provide. Brookdale's administration personnel understood my concerns and my heart. The Nursing Director made my mom's transition peaceful and enjoyable. Who says that, "peaceful and enjoyable" transition. These places are never "enjoyable." But this place, Brookdale, moreover, the staff, right from the top to the bottom, (if there is even such a thing, as every position is just as important as the next) each one played such an important part in the well being and care of my mom. It's holistic care! Everyone plays a valuable role into my mom's care, and it shows. My mom has been with Brookdale for about 8 weeks and her transition has been amazing. She is thriving, happy, well cared for, and doing great. Sometimes, when I call her, she says, "Can I call you back, I'm playing bingo, or I'm painting, or playing cards, or visiting with friends." What a wonderful feeling knowing that my mom is safe, well cared for, and is happy, peaceful. To all the staff at Brookdale, Thank you, I know its hard work, but each one of you make a difference in the life of not only the residents, but to the families.

I can’t say enough good things about Brookdale Eddy Pond East! My mother came to Eddy Pond East when she could no longer live independently. While the transition for her was difficult as she was so used to being self-sufficient, the staff was wonderful in helping ease that transition. They treated her with respect and compassion, and she came to love it there. The facilities are nice (this is the new building), the grounds are beautiful, and the food is fantastic. The administration is kind, friendly and efficient, and the activities are varied and wonderful. A few months after moving in, my mother became ill and we took her to the hospital, where we got the devastating news that she was failing and had to go into hospice. Eddy Pond East welcomed her back from the hospital with open arms and no hesitation and allowed her to take hospice there. The nurses were exemplary in taking care of her, and in her final week everyone (nurses, staff, housekeeping and even the kitchen staff) took turns checking up and visiting her. Their motto is no one goes alone, and special thanks to Gail, who was the one who held her hand as she crossed over. We are ever so grateful to everyone, especially Gail and Sue, for taking such wonderful care of her and helping her feel loved and safe, especially as she transitioned over that last week. When and if my husband and I need assisted living, we will definitely choose Eddy Pond East!

My Aunt moved into Brookdale Eddy Pond in March and thus far, I have seen an improvement in her disposition. She has made friends and participates in social activities. The staff is friendly and caring. They are proactive with any issues or concerns that she or the family may have.

Great facility - clean & well maintained. Staff is amazing - professional & supportive. Live receptionist always answers the phone - so nice to hear a pleasant voice rather than a menu of choices. Very happy with our decision.

I don't even know where to begin. My dad was 83 years old and was diagnosed with dementia. We could no longer give him the level of care he needed and had to find him a dementia unit to fit his needs. Enter Ellen Davis and her staff at Brookdale at Eddy Pond. They made what was a guilt ridden and gut-wrenching time in our lives one hell of a lot easier and were empathetic to what our family was going through. At one point we had a snafu with one of the local hospitals and due to a misunderstanding, almost lost my Dad's room at Eddy Pond. But one call to Ellen and she straightened the entire thing out and my Dad was able to return without a single issue. The staff in the Clare Bridge unit are amazing and show a genuine concern and empathy for the residents. If you are looking for a memory care unit for your elderly loved one or if you're looking for an really good assisted living facility, look no further than Eddy Pond.

This community offers a wonderful assisted living and memory care program. It is perfect for someone who may need a bit extra help they can no longer manage themselves at home. Being able to age in place, is also a top priority with their third floor Clare Bridge program. Lacey, who oversees the restaurant has monthly table talks with the residents to ensure the restaurant is offering a unique dining experience, everyone can enjoy. Holly in programs works with the residents on a daily basis to make sure they have input on all upcoming events, and programs to make sure they are exactly what they would like to participate in. Overall a great community, for anyone who is starting to feel a little overwhelmed with living alone at home.

My moms been here for over 10 years. At first it as great. Now it’s awful. Turnover in staff is constant. Have to call over and over for services that we pay for. Never let us in on problems. Extremely disappointed

They have great food selection for the meals through the day. The aids are responsive to the needs of the residents. The residents look happy and are as active as they want to be.

When looking for a place for my elderly Mom I called several different facilities in MA in hopes of finding the perfect home for her. From the moment I spoke with Melissa the Sales and Marketing Director at Eddy Pond I knew this was the place. I live out of state and we were going thru a pandemic, she took all of the stress off my plate. She personally walked around & gave me a video tour of the facility on her phone, highlighting the residents rooms, dining area, activities areas etc. She answered my questions before I even had to ask. Her professionalism and knowledge was assuring this was the right place for Mom. Upon onboard the Executive Director himself sat with my sister, mother and I to facilitate filling out all of the paperwork and answer any further questions. He could not have been more welcoming to my Mom who was struggling with leaving her home. Marks knowledge and sense of humor made what may have been a difficult transition for my Mom a happy and comforting process. This has been an unprecedented time for caregivers in facilities such as this, dealing with illness and at times short staff everyone on staff here stepped up to the plate and worked together to do their best at keeping the residents safe. My Mom is extremely happy with her new home at Eddy Pond and tells me all the time it truly feels like it's HOME. My heart cannot thank the staff enough, I cannot mention all, I apologize, but would especially like to thank; Mark, Melissa, Jen, Brendan, Donna, Craig, not to mention her wonderful PT, OT Nurses and dietary aides etc. This is a rock star staff faced with a long hard road with this relentless pandemic. They are doing such a great job keeping everyone safe and loved. Thank you Eddy Pond!

Great place! The staff is really nice and the residents are fun to be around. They are always doing something fun and interesting for the elderly. The place is sideways clean and doesn't smell bad. I think the temperature is to high at times but hey that's what the old people like. I would trust the staff here with my grandparents.
