My mom (terminal cancer) was admitted into skilled nursing at Brookdale in a hospice situation for symptoms we were struggling to manage at home. They are amazing!! Every staff member has been so attentive and kind. Our family is there every day to be with her and we are witnessing the attention, care, kindness and skill they are treating her with in every moment. We are beyond grateful and are able to spend time with her without worrying if we’re failing her. Thank you to all the Brookdale staff.

This is a lovely and well staffed facility. I only have two thoughts. The woman we were visiting needed help using the bathroom. I looked for help and the nurses desk was empty. It would be very nice if there was always one person at the desk most of the time. Perhaps the staff could take turns doing what they need to do? It would be marvelous if coffee was available for patient’s guests.

Took forever to get help during night. Call button was not answered on numerous occasions. My wife had to get out of bed after back surgury (5.5 hours) and go out into the hall using a walker and call "Anybody there?". During the day it was ok. A nurse said that they were under staffed.

My girlfriend of over 25 years is at Brookdale Greenwood Village for rehabilitation and care. She has developed some cognitive issues and therefore she has been refusing to allow them to bathe her. The staff allowed me to stay with her while they bathed her so that I could talk with her and keep her calm. I so appreciate their professionalism and kindness.

My Mom was only at Brookdale Greenwood Village for a couple of months before her passing, but I am extremely grateful for the loving, caring, and safe environment they have created in the Clare Bridge memory care unit. When I was setting up her room before she even moved in, the staff were all coming by and introducing themselves to me. By the time she arrived I felt like I was leaving her with family! The facility itself is spotless and I never noticed any odors (except the one day they had lunch with garlic in it!). I was comfortable with Mom being there because I could tell she was always well-cared for.

My dad moved from an independent living facility to Brookdale sight unseen and almost every time that we talk to him he tells us how happy he is here and how much he loves it. I'm presently in Brookdale with my 84yr old mom whom is going through physical therapy. We've been here going on 2 weeks. I choose to stay with my mom 24/7 though I live 6 miles from the facility. The service that these Nurses, CNA's, Physical therapists and housekeeping do daily; and Ive watched them.. is beyond what anyone should expect.. families need to band together to help their loved ones. That in itself goes a long way, Not to mention would be a big help to these Healthcare workers, who try their best to care for YOUR family members. Your loved ones need these Healthcare workers, but they also need to see that their family members make an effort to visit them and lend a hand.

Overall, my father's stay this time was much better than his stay in December 2023. Dr. Niranjan was very attentive while my father was there. My father was admitted on a Saturday and his first planning meeting was Thursday. I think having a planning meeting closer to the day of admission would be more helpful. It would also be nice if they put out holiday decorations that let everyone feel included. My father was there last December and there were only Christmas decorations throughout the place. When I asked last year about recognizing Chanukah, I was told they were getting decorations (never happened). This year there was only Christmas decorations. I don't think putting a small menorah in the lobby and on each floor is asking a lot compared to all the Christmas decorations. It is nice when patients feel recognized and valued.

My mom recently moved into their memory care center. Before she was in a different memory care facility. That didn’t workout well. She wouldn’t sleep and actively tried to hurt herself. Every night I would get calls that my mom was hurt. She ended up in the ER several times.She ended up being completely drugged out and stopped eating and drinking. I saw what a sad shape she was in and had her taken to the hospital. She turned out to have a bad UTI. Even after it was gone she was in a sad shape because it took a toll on her. Through the hospital doctor she was approved for rehab to get her strength back and her independence since she couldn’t eat or walk on her own after her ordeal. The place we chose was Brookdale 9n Greenwood Village because of their great reputation. She ended up doing 2 months of rehab. Once she was functional and more herself we decided to keep her at the same facility except in the memory care unit. I can not express how happy I am with the facility. Not only the facility is beautiful but all the staff is so kind and welcoming. My mom is happy participating in activities and even made friendships. She has a new lease on life. Has been a while since I have seen my so happy that it brings tears to my eyes. They literally saved my mom’s life. Thank you Christine, Sally and Maria, I owe you a big debt I can’t even begin to repay.

Alright so this is a real review on someone like me who is very critical on EVERYTHING but my beautiful Mother in law needed a post acute place to get some physical therapy and I picked Brookdale Greenwood Village and THANK GOD I PICKED THIS PLACE !! It’s not a dump people have been very nice knowledgeable for the most part except for just now on the call to the nurses who answers the phone very unprofessional had no idea who my MIL was called her. whatever she is and I was like GIVE ME ZABRINA NOW AND SHE had just walked up before I could finish my sentence !! So sorry to put you on the spot Zabrina but she’s going to be your go to while your loved one is there for most things! It’s a beautiful place compared to the trashy places they tried to send my mother in law !! Don’t just go with the few places the hospitals recommend !! Do your research and definitly check this place out ! If anything changes when I bring my MIL home and she says anything bad I’ll change this !! But 10 outta 10 maybe 9 after that calll today but it’s not too big of a deal ©™

My mom has been at Brookdale for a year and a half. She had polio when she was 2 years old. After several years of declining mobility, she lost the ability to walk with crutches in March of 2023, and we could no longer help her at home. She was resistant to going into a nursing home, and it was rough at first, but once the staff and my mom got into a routine, we saw her quality of life improve dramatically. She is now using her electric wheelchair daily, she participates in all of the daily activities, they go on field trips, she eats lunch and dinner with her friends in the dining room, she goes outside to check on the cats and the plants, etc. The staff is wonderful with her! Thanks to HallyAnn, Rochelle, Marina, Miranda, Ava, Cheryl, Maria, Sandy, George, G.... I can't remember everyone's name, so if I missed anyone, I apologize! The kitchen staff is great, too! The only recurring problem is short staffing, but overall we have had a good experience at Brookdale! They also allow us to bring our dog - Newton loves his grandma! Thanks, everyone!

Whoever wrote a BAD and most disturbing review about Aziza at Brookdale Greenwood village using my middle name Linda and a last name Lind has nearly caused Azria her Job is very disturbed! Aziza worked very hard at taking care of my husband and his needs and to get his oxygen needs for home home!!!! Please know Aziza is a very KIND and will go out of her way to do the best she does! Her concern is to deal with every Patients needs and puts everyone at the top of her list. Her job is taking care 70+ pts. Each person is no better than the other! You can depend on her and trust her with her expertise. Thank you

The facility was very nice, clean and the receptionist was helpful. Locking the door at5pm seemed early. The receptionist said if we came after 5 someone may answer the locked door in a few minutes or it may be an hour. This early time for locking the door seemed to be an inconvenience for people who worked and needed to see someone after work. The person we visited would have been unable to come down and answer the door after 5 pm. Not happy with this.

My father is a current patient in the rehabilitation department of this facility. Unfortunately, I don’t believe he is getting adequate care. Having been a business consultant for many years working with organizations on change management and process improvement, it’s very apparent to me that the culture of the organization is dysfunctional. The staff are unhappy and that is reflected in their attitude towards patients and each other. Communication between the nursing staff, physical therapy staff, occupational therapy staff, and nurse assistants is seriously lacking. This results in my father not being looked in on very regularly, not being visited by the PT/OT staff as planned and communicated and not doing the exercises he needs to get stronger and be discharged. Additionally , the equipment is in poor condition. For instance, his call button has failed twice in the week he has been here and he has been unable to call for help. I would highly recommend against putting your family member in this facility.

I am a visitor of a recent patient resident at Brookdale. The first two days of settling in were very frustrating due to the language barrier of the staff. Their accents are very difficult to understand when they are trying to speak English and it is crucial to help someone feel as comfortable as possible, especially when they’re ill and are extremely anxious about what’s happening to them. This patient is 52 years old and has their full faculties of reasoning and understands their meds very well.. But the message being conveyed was so garbled with accents. That the clarity of her medication and caretaking was not clear. Through this all the staff did hold their composure and patience. For myself as a visiting caretaker with the patient’s permission I was able to get help from Janice who handles The insurance coordination. Janice was a very big help to us with explaining the facility standard forms. And whether it would be or not be something that the patient needs to have done. Also, Mimi was very helpful with her kind demeanor and explanations. The facility itself is very well cared for clean and neat. The food is very nice which is a definite, plus. Sincerely NBN
