My mom recently moved into their memory care center. Before she was in a different memory care facility. That didn't workout well. She wouldn't sleep and actively tried to hurt herself. Every night I would get calls that my mom was hurt. She ended up in the ER several times.She ended up being completely drugged out and stopped eating and drinking. I saw what a sad shape she was in and had her taken to the hospital. She turned out to have a bad UTI. Even after it was gone she was in a sad shape because it took a toll on her. Through the hospital doctor she was approved for rehab to get her strength back and her independence since she couldn't eat or walk on her own after her ordeal. The place we chose was Brookdale 9n Greenwood Village because of their great reputation. She ended up doing 2 months of rehab. Once she was functional and more herself we decided to keep her at the same facility except in the memory care unit. I can not express how happy I am with the facility. Not only the facility is beautiful but all the staff is so kind and welcoming. My mom is happy participating in activities and even made friendships. She has a new lease on life. Has been a while since I have seen my so happy that it brings tears to my eyes. They literally saved my mom's life. Thank you Christine, Sally and Maria, I owe you a big debt I can't even begin to repay.

My mom has been at Brookdale for a year and a half. She had polio when she was 2 years old. After several years of declining mobility, she lost the ability to walk with crutches in March of 2023, and we could no longer help her at home. She was resistant to going into a nursing home, and it was rough at first, but once the staff and my mom got into a routine, we saw her quality of life improve dramatically. She is now using her electric wheelchair daily, she participates in all of the daily activities, they go on field trips, she eats lunch and dinner with her friends in the dining room, she goes outside to check on the cats and the plants, etc. The staff is wonderful with her! Thanks to HallyAnn, Rochelle, Marina, Miranda, Ava, Cheryl, Maria, Sandy, George, G…. I can't remember everyone's name, so if I missed anyone, I apologize! The kitchen staff is great, too! The only recurring problem is short staffing, but overall we have had a good experience at Brookdale! They also allow us to bring our dog - Newton loves his grandma! Thanks, everyone!

Whoever wrote a BAD and most disturbing review about Aziza at Brookdale Greenwood village using my middle name Linda and a last name Lind has nearly caused Azria her Job is very disturbed! Aziza worked very hard at taking care of my husband and his needs and to get his oxygen needs for home home!!!! Please know Aziza is a very KIND and will go out of her way to do the best she does! Her concern is to deal with every Patients needs and puts everyone at the top of her list. Her job is taking care 70+ pts. Each person is no better than the other! You can depend on her and trust her with her expertise. Thank you

The facility was very nice, clean and the receptionist was helpful. Locking the door at5pm seemed early. The receptionist said if we came after 5 someone "may answer the locked door in a few minutes or it may be an hour". This early time for locking the door seemed to be an inconvenience for people who worked and needed to see someone after work. The person we visited would have been unable to come down and answer the door after 5 pm. Not happy with this.

I am a visitor of a recent patient resident at Brookdale. The first two days of settling in were very frustrating due to the language barrier of the staff. Their accents are very difficult to understand when they are trying to speak English and it is crucial to help someone feel as comfortable as possible, especially when they're ill and are extremely anxious about what's happening to them. This patient is 52 years old and has their full faculties of reasoning and understands their meds very well… But the message being conveyed was so garbled with accents. That the clarity of her medication and caretaking was not clear. Through this all the staff did hold their composure and patience. For myself as a visiting caretaker with the patient's permission I was able to get help from Janice who handles The insurance coordination. Janice was a very big help to us with explaining the facility standard forms. And whether it would be or not be something that the patient needs to have done. Also, Mimi was very helpful with her kind demeanor and explanations. The facility itself is very well cared for clean and neat. The food is very nice which is a definite, plus. Sincerely NBN

Navigating senior care can leave you feeling overwhelmed and stressed. The staff at Brookdale was nothing but supportive and helpful from the minute my father left the hospital and was brought in for his rehab stay. The staff in this unit is awesome! I usually come after 5 pm. Sam and the lady on duty are wonderful. Sam has added years to my Mom's life by finding a little book of piano music she can play. We never thought Mom would be back to wear she could do this! The weekend ladies are wonderful. "B" was so attentive and quick to help today when we were there. I wish we had found this unit years ago! I just hope we can get the podiatrist there soon to see her.

I recently had the extreme pleasure of working with Sally Krusell, Manager of Admissions and Maria Perez, the director at Brookdale of Greenwood Village, Colorado. Almost daily I think about Brookdale and how they have improved my Mother's quality of life and happiness - this is invaluable! In preparation of this next chapter of my mother's life I met Sally, an Admissions Account Manager to discuss Brookdale. She happily explained the facility's amenities, dining room, and extracurricular activities (such as gardening, Flower Arrangement, Bingo, Happy Hour, Live Music night, Movies, Fitness classes, and so much more). She gave me a tour of the facility, introduced me to staff members (one who has been with Brookdale for 25 years), she introduced me to residents – naming every person we encountered. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for her friendly customer-focused interaction, helping me find the right placement for mother with consideration of her current physical condition. Under difficult circumstances, moving my her from a hospital in Florida to Brookdale's Assisted Living facility (closer to her family) in Colorado - Sally maintained communications with me every step of the way. She managed to find a room with a resident across the hallway with similar lifestyle and physical abilities as mom. From start to finish the entire process of moving mother into Brookdale was successful and personal. The director Maria Perez, checked in daily with mom that first week to ensure she was settled in, comfortable, and her needs were met. Sally was a welcome wagon unto herself, thank you Sally and Maria. When we were having difficulties finding the right bed for mom, Sally searched and located one that fit mom's mobility needs. Although not anticipated, her responsiveness was sometimes instantaneous, at minimum within the same day, and always with a positive attitude. Her plans for mom and her transition were progressive and her enthusiasm endless; it was like having a family member working with you. I firmly believe Sally's job knowledge and passion for her job and Brookdale allowed Mom to move in feeling like she was already part of the Brookdale family. She was excellent. Her proactive approach, along with friendly and professional demeanor, made the entire process smooth and almost effortless. She and Maria were always ready to answer any queries and ensured that we were comfortable every step of the way. Mother has developed strong caring relationships with the staff, physical therapist, and medical team. Brookdale is her new home; she reminds me almost weekly how appreciative she is for Brookdale and her new friends. When it is time for my father to move to this next chapter of his life, I will be reaching out to Sally and Brookdale.

My mom was admitted to this facility after a hospital stay. She was not an easy patient and definitely did want want to be there. However, she was able to get excellent rehab in just a couple of weeks and go back home safely. The entire stay was great. Everyone was very helpful from getting her insurance approval to getting her safe to go home. The staff was way above what we expected. The social workers kept our family informed and did their best to work with her to get her home safely. I would recommend this facility to anyone needing care for their loved ones. Besides parking being a little difficult some days there were no negatives to report.

A family member recently spent time here for rehab and respite care. I want to give big kudos to two particular social work staff members - Aziza and Gigi. They worked extremely hard to ensure my family member was able to be released into a safe situation back at their assisted living facility. This was NOT straightforward at all and required a lot of work and persistence on their part to make it happen. We are all very grateful for their assistance and hard work.

The staff consisting of CNAs, nurses, doctors, PT, OT, administrators, cleaners, and cooks were all very kind and compassionate people. They treated my father with dignity and respect. Brookdale Greenwood Village turned out to be an excellent place for my good friend's rehab after she suffered a fall. My friend first chose a rehab center near her home, but oh my! It was a disaster: poor care, poor food, poor pain control. We began to look for alternatives, and Lisa at Brookdale Greenwood Village was so responsive and helpful! She answered question after question, and once my friend made the decision to move, guided us step by step in the transfer process and briefed the staff about my friend's situation. I'll let my friend talk about Brookdale care (hint: she was very pleased!) but I can tell you that I was totally pleased by how easy everyone made my friend's transfer. I spent a week in their Skilled Nursing Facility. They are unacceptable on all levels having to do with administrative welcome, leadership and training - staff were overwhelmed, seemed to be understaffed, and some were not well trained. Unfortunately the physical therapists and occupational therapists are quite good, but the rest of the facility in terms of care, cleanliness, food, effective processes, are very poor.

Lisa and Isabel are EXCELLENT. I am just blown away by this facility's staff and their ability to work as a team to get things done. Without Isabel working directly with my insurance company for me and the communications directly to me to give me updates by Lisa, the process would have been so long and drawn out and this is THE FIRST time I've experienced a true concierge-level service to have all those things done for me. I work in a customer service industry and respect the hard work being put in for the patients and their families at this facility. I can't even tell everyone enough the positive experience I've had and will be something I don't forget and deep down will be forever grateful for. If you are going through something where you need to choose a facility for rehabilitation or even senior living, THIS IS IT. The staff knocks socks off 🙂

I selected the Greenwood Village facility because Assisted Living, Dementia Care, Skilled Nursing, and Physical and Occupational Therapy services are in the same location. My mother has transitioned through all of the facilities and currently resides in the Dementia Unit. The gentle and loving care she receives is visible in every staff member with whom I have interacted. After breaking her hip and having surgery at age 99 1/2, the Skilled Nursing Unit, combined with the PT and OT staff, led to the successful return of my mother to the Dementia Unit. I have spent a lot of time getting to know the staff in all the areas, sharing my compliments as well as my concerns, and I am, for the most part, very happy with the care given to my mother.

Nice place, and very attentive to needs. I would recommend it to others. Dad has been here for both skilled nursing and secure memory care. This has been the best experience we have had, and we have been at three different facilitites. Dad has dementia and needs a secure memory area. The day-to-day staff is amazing, and the management team are constantly asking how things are going and making improvements, especially Stacey the Executive Director who absolutely is the best Secure Memory/ASL/Skilled Nursing/ management person I have meet in the past three years.

The managment team follows through on your requests and makes my dad feel important as well as the whole family.
