I moved my mom into Brighton Gardens about a month ago. Both myself and my brother work in the Care Industry. As professionals and a family member, we are very pleased with my mom's care and services. She has gotten so much better with her care needs while she has been here coming from rehab. They make sure she is involved in all the activities, trips and also are very patient in hearing her needs and requests. She is well cared for and they watch out for her. From the incredible front desk team, to the nursing team, to the entire management team and staff… we are very thankful and would rate them 5 Star. If you are looking for a place for your loved one … look no further. You have found a home.

Brighton Gardens felt like a community and not a corporate outpost. They listened and understood my specific needs. Never did I feel the need to repeat. My questions and requests were immediately addressed. The community feel extended beyond the Sales Director and was evident from reception to the Executive Director. This has been a traumatic time, but I was able to place my mom in a caring environment within 10 days of her release from the Emergency Room. More importantly, I know that I am doing the right thing for her and for her caregivers.

My mother has been a resident at Brighton Gardens for close to 8 years, having moving first into Assisted Living, and then into the Memory Care unit, and from day one my family has felt supported by the entire staff community. We look upon my mother's caregivers as an extended part of our family, and they are caring, and on top of all of her needs. We are so thankful for their care.

So grateful for the exceptional care that all members of the Sunrise Brighton Gardens team provided to our beloved family member who was a resident for many years. The staff became family, and this residence truly felt like his home. Highly recommend their heartfelt, genuine compassionate care and ability to maintain dignity while meeting the emotional and physical needs of their residents. Thank you for all that you do!

Fabulous Visit, informative and Helene was detail excellent! I also met key staff members AJ, Mary Kay and Kelsey to name a few and everyone was so generous with their time answering and listening to all my questions about bringing my mother in law to a facility to be cared for. I really felt a sense of "home" in a safe, trusted, friendly well organized run facility-If given the chance I would move her here without hesitation! Brighton Gardens came highly recommended to me from a person whose parent was here and experienced the everyday in's and out's of the home-Thanks you to everyone for your generosity and I appreciated your time spent with me and for the apple pie!

My experience has been positive. All of my needs have been met. Brighton Gardens has had a positive impact in my life. I have been able to benefit from the morning exercise and Trivia. I have been fortunate enough to schedule my physical therapy sessions which have helped with my gait and balance. They always have great musicians coming in to play and sing which is veryrefreshing. Myy care team is very attentive and assertive. I would like to mention Donny and Zurline who are always looking out for me. My nurses led by Mary Kay have helped me manage my medications and have gotten to understand my needs pretty well. Liz is very energetic and motivates me to participate. Priscilla at the concierge has been very helpful. I can rely on her for advice and help with making appointments. Kelsey has a great attitude and she is very knowledgeable. I appreciate her.I am glad to be a resident here.

My mom has been a resident of Brighton Garden`s for nearly four years .I feared that this wouldn`t be a good fit due to her need for social and stimulating activities. I couldn`t have been more wrong. My mothers day is filled with flower arrranging ,musical entertainment ,day trips out and countless other diversions. The staff is five star starting with A.J. the director. He knows who his residents are and treats them with care and love. The nursing staff is always involved and call me even over the very slightest thing they feel I need to know. My mother`s care people treat her like family and she loves them all. This loving enviornment starts at the front desk with smiles and understanding for family members.Thank you Brighton Gardens you are making my moms last years some of her happiest and safest.I`m the only child for mom and I take this as a blessing each and every day.

Our family feels incredibly fortunate to have found Brighton Gardens for my Dad. After my parents spent a year together at another Sunrise community in NJ, Dad moved up to CT and into Brighton Gardens when Mom passed. Not only did the Sunrise organization make it incredibly easy to move between communities, once at Brighton, we knew we found the right community for Dad who was 93 at the time. Dad lived at BG for 5 years. For the first few years, Dad enjoyed many of the social activities that BG had to offer and he made friends that he looked forward to seeing at meals and the activities. I always felt the staff responded at exactly the right level if I needed to be reached for any reason. I was highly confident if they needed to make a decision and was always thoroughly informed. When Dad starting slipping into dementia and he had to be moved over to memory care, I found the staff to be compassionate with him (and with our family) and continued to do whatever they could to ensure his dignity and contentment. Again, I was always alerted with any concerns. AJ, the ED, led BG through Covid with unfailing determination to ensure the safety of the residents, staff and visitors. Everyone at BG from the Executive Director to the Nursing and Care staff to the attending PCP to the van driver and front desk were part of Dad's and our family's positive experience. I highly recommend, without hesitation, Brighton Gardens for a loved one’s care.

There’s no place like home! But sometimes as we get older home isn’t always the best option! We moved my mom to Brighton gardens almost two years ago now and she’s like a different person! She is more social and engaging, she has friends and everyone who works here from AJ and his entire team are nothing short of AMAZING! My mom is cared for, checked in on when not feeling well and always encouraged to keep going! The one constant that my mom has said in the nearly two years is how nice everyone is and that’s the most important thing to me and my siblings!! I Highly recommend The Sunrise at Brighton Gardens for your loved one!❤️

Brighton Gardens of Stamford is an exceptional place, for many reasons. The management and staff are very caring and responsive and I have been able to easily develop good personal and working relationships with many of them. The individual one-bedrooms and studios are clean and up-to-date, spacious, well-lit, and very well maintained. The food offers many choices on an ever-changing menu at each meal in the dining hall and tastes good - I sometimes join my Dad for a meal there if it fits into my schedule. The health care team and the designated daily care supervisors are very helpful and on top of my father's needs. The business managers are all accessible and helpful whenever we need help or have questions. My father has made many friends with the other residents and the staff, and there are numerous activities to participate in when he wishes to do so. He feels active and enjoys being a part of the community of residents and staff very much. The level of autonomy he enjoys is appropriate for him in accordance with his capacities and runs very smoothly and is reviewed at regular intervals. Most importantly, our family is very happy with his level of enthusiasm for life in his 87th year, and it is in no small part because he really enjoys living at Brighton Gardens of Stamford. I usually visit him 1-3 times a week and feel very welcome to stop by anytime. We also take him out for vacations, which is easy and seamless. Brighton Gardens of Stamford offers a comfortable home for seniors and I would give this facility more than 5 stars if the option was available!

I can't say enough about Brighton Gardens. From the executive director, AJ, all the way down the line, this is a caring community that will often go out of their way or think outside the box to help the residents. We moved my mom there knowing it would likely not be for long, but so she would enjoy her last few months here. And boy, did she. Very often I would come to visit and was surprised to find her enjoying bingo, trivia, piano, or a movie with popcorn. Additionally, while Brighton Gardens accepted her despite her medical issues, in my mind, I think it became clear that it might be more than they expected and yet, they rose to the occasion and we worked together to make sure she was getting the care she needed and was safe. I could go on and on, but really, I have very little criticism and only love for the people there. My mom passed recently and their staff showed up at the funeral. Sunrise Brighton Gardens will always have a very special place in our hearts. So I guess if you ask, do I recommend this community? Without hesitation. Thank you AJ, Mary Kaye, Kelsey, and the rest of the staff. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

My mom, at age 98 re-located to BG of Stamford approximately 10 months ago. She was coming off a 4 day hospital stay and a stint in a rehab facility. She entered palliative care then hospice care on site. The Brighton Garden team took exceptional interest her daily activity, her diet and overall well being. She overcame the issues that necessitated hospice care and has been officially taken off that protocol and is now thriving and participating in daily activities. We celebrated her 99th birthday 2 months ago and look forward to more fulfilling days with her. I am delighted with the overall care and the personal interest and my mother has received from all the staff. Jerry Gallagher

In mid summer my mother became extremely ill in her hometown of TR NJ and after a lengthy hospitalization and rehab we were forced to make the difficult decision to relocate her up to CT near us. My mother had no input in the selection due to her illness and because we told the rehab facility we were not interested in leaving her in NJ they decided to discharge her with little notice to our family. Dylan was extremely accommodating and met my sister and I on a Sunday. He arranged for someone from Sunrise to observe and document her condition at the NJ rehab and jumped hoops to help us move her quickly. Yes, there are a few unfavorable reviews we saw on the web but we checked the DPH licensing web and checked on things like service or health violations as part of our decision to move mom to BG. They bent a rule and let us move her on a holiday weekend since we had to get her in sooner when the NJ facility gave us two days notice of a discharge date of Friday before labor day. As my mother has improved, she has come to consider this her home with new friends. The staff have been kind and considerate of her recovery and care. They give her choices in her wardrobe selection and activities since she is wheelchair bound at this point. She loves her meals and feels happy, much happier as time passes, AJ, the ED has answered each and every question that we come up with, is very responsive and the receptionists are so helpful. We decided at the 11th hour of closing up her house to bring up her kitty after the first month who is also elderly and the staff has been wonderful with Timmy. I hope in considering choosing BG you will visit and check all sources, talk to staff and tour the facility. You will see for yourself that many factors go into a big decision with what is best for your parent or family member. We have found all the staff to be courteous and considerate and right down to the Director of Facilities, who responds quickly to complaints if any. The fact that Mom is close to myself, my two other siblings and we can see she is happy is a bonus. That and the friends I have made with other residents family members. For our family it is a win win all the way around. And, then....let me tell you all about Bear........

We had to make the heartbreaking decision to move my husband to memory care assisted living. Sunrise was recommend by a good friend who had a parent there. We have been here for 3 months and I cant say enough about the staff and administrators. They are kind, patient and supportive to my husband and my family. He has been in 4 different rehabs over the past 3 years and this is the first place I can actually go to sleep at night knowing he is safe.

We toured this community for the care for my mom. The staff were all extremely nice and the value would of been good. The community is newer. It has a nice welcoming feeling. Love the mascot dog. Reviews from residents that live there were very good. The meals are very good with a good variety. They seem to offer good activities. The residents seemed to be very happy. The community area for memory care was a bit confined.
