My father just moved in here and the transition has been seamless! They even welcomed his dog! This place is stellar! The staff at all levels is so supportive, the residents are engaging and welcoming, the facilities are well taken care of, and there are a variety of activities to be engaged in. We are very excited for this next chapter for him.

My mother in-law has lived here for about three years. This location has a constant change of senior management. It seems to be very poorly run. The food has gone downhill significantly. It seems they never have fire drills, which seems completely unsafe. Evidently the employees have fire drills, but it's unclear to the residents what they're supposed to do. there are some great employees in the apartments are OK but at 7000+ per month it seems you should be getting better service. they claimed to have 24 hour nursing coverage, which they do not. Lots of promises made during the marketing tour that just don't pan out when you live there.

As anyone can imagine the transition from personal residence to independent-assisted living can happen overnight and certainly be an adjustment. Maplewood at Mayflower Place made that transition very seamless. Being our first experience Pam Fletcher and the staff guided us from "A to Z" with absolute perfection and never pressured us once. Everyone is so helpful and inviting. The residents are beyond friendly and take a very active role in their community, very welcoming atmosphere with endless activities. The grounds and facility are beautiful from the library when you enter, atrium, the bistro & dinning hall, plus a world class swimming pool & gym. Not to mention the little things which count most including the warm colors throughout, numerous gathering areas, and a very attentive/responsive maintenance staff. We sleep better now knowing my Mom is in such a beautiful and safe community that also allows for her complete independence, we enjoy visiting tremendously.

I can't say enough great things about the therapists at Mayflower Place. From day one, their patience, kindness, and genuine compassion made me feel supported and cared for. Their upbeat attitudes and encouragement truly lifted me on difficult days, and their knowledge and dedication gave me confidence in my recovery. They don't just treat patients-they care deeply about people. I am incredibly grateful for everything they've done for me. I was able to return home and live my life again. Highly recommend.

My mother started her stay at Maplewood at Mayflower as a patient in the nursing portion receiving top care. She transferred to their assisted living home on site as a trial for one month. She loves it so much, she is making it her forever home! We as family members could not be happier. The staff are professional, caring and compassionate. We are impressed by Courtney, the male server in the dining room, who greets all guests with a huge smile, kind welcoming voice and maintains eye contact with whoever is speaking. He is serving each table while multi tasking with the (many!) requests each guest has. His memory and care of each person makes everyone feel valued and heard. His customer service is incredible. We also enjoy Cat, the activities director who makes rounds to each table and ensures all guests know about the days activities from what movie is being shown in the film room, the live music at the piano and the many other options that keep our seniors minds working and socializing happening. Meredith, an executive director, is also thoughtful and helpful. We are impressed by the care and concern all staff give our mom and family. The facility itself is clean, inviting and happy. The dining room provides delicious and nutritious meals and are thoughtful about providing unique requests. Our family has much less stress now knowing our mom/sister/aunt/grandma/cousin is being cared for in a vibrant, caring and compassionate place. Thank you Maplewood at Mayflower!

Just spent about 6 weeks in rehab unit. PT/OT were super and “strongly encouraged “(lol) me when I really needed it! The nurses Amanda, Tara, Marcelo, Leo, Ashley,Cassandra totally professional…monitoring, assessments, meds, and following through on doctors orders. I definitely left there stronger than I started out! The nursing assistants…Shantal, Arpana, Patti, Rachel, Ashley, the night shift girls(forgot names) ,Stephanie…good strong workers and wish I could have taken them home with me! I do wish patients were given food choices/menu for each day. A ?dietary person met with me to go over my choices for only my first week. Foods I had stated I disliked still were served on my tray. The FF cup and most of the soups were good Nicole from SS was also very helpful As my roommate was on care and comfort/hospice I was extremely impressed how caring all the staff was to her. I am a retired RN with 47 years of experience including 27 in elderly rehabilitation…no place is perfect but Mayflower is a place I would return if needed

I recently visited Mayflower & was so impressed by the wonderful reception we received from Pam. The facility is beautiful but more importantly Pam’s warm inviting welcome helped us to fall in love with the place. Although we are not quite ready to make the move, it’ll be where we will end up for the next phase of our lives.

My experience at Mayflower, a Maplewood community has been enhanced through the presence & efforts of Pam. Her genuine care & compassion provide residents a sense of well-being & a touchstone as many new residents embark on a new & often disconcerting change in their lives. From first contact through long time residency, she is available to help residents & family fully appreciate & enjoy all that Mayflower has to offer. We are so glad to have Pam. She is a wonderful member of the Mayflower team.

We moved my elderly friend in in late summer of last year. In the eight months he was there. There were three different managers unfortunately, each one was progressively worse. Maintenance request were ignored, it took six requests to get a parking space assigned to him. In the time he was there I made at least five attempts to get a second key fob, I received one the week before he moved out (And it only worked for two days before failing). At one point, his mail went uncollected for two weeks And no one informed me. The mailman told me he had pointed out to them several times and no one did anything. He ended up in the hospital, barely hanging on because his condition had not been reported to me or deal dealt with. The people at the front desk were always very friendly and wrote down every request that I made, but when I followed up a couple days later, the request was often lost or met with a blank stare. The staff that dealt directly with him as far as helping him get to the cafeteria or helping him bathe were for the most part good. The Area that it fell apart was with the administration and maintenance. I even had a meeting with the lead administrator and the head of the wellness department outlining my concerns. Absolutely nothing changed. When we moved him in We were convinced that he had made the right choice, but in a very short time, we discovered that everything was overpromised and underdeliverd. The most common answer that We received was “we don’t do that” which was directly contrary to what we had been told when he was touring the facility. At one point, someone had dropped a large glass Jar in the parking lot, leaving large jagged pieces right where people walked to get to their car. I stood and pointed to exactly where it was to the person at the front desk and one of the maintenance people. 24 hours later it was still there. I have since moved him to another facility where he is extremely happy and thriving. He is amazed that the level of service he is getting and often says “when you ask them for something they do it for you“ I’m just happy that we got him out of there in time for him to enjoy his new family at his new facility. I thought long and hard before I wrote this review, but I feel that we gave them so many chances to make things right and they dropped the ball on every occasion.

Gracious and friendly: Maplewood at Mayflower Place is thoughtfully designed to be welcoming for residents and their guests. The grounds are landscaped with seasonal flowering displays, and inside the front door is a beautiful lobby featuring a sunny atrium, comfy living room furniture, and pleasant Associates (employees). Its own library is complete with books supplied by the Yarmouth Town Libraries, a cozy fireplace, computer access, and a special page-magnifying machine to help those who need it. The Concierge on duty will assist with transportation requests (free rides to local medical appointments) and with the weekly bus trips to drugstore and grocery shopping. Residents can buy a book of stamps and a nicely priced (50 cents!) greeting card and mail it from their own little post office in the building. Maplewood Senior Living has several Activities Associates who make sure there are lots of things to do each day; think discussion groups, book clubs, Wii games like putting and bowling, team trivia, card games (Poker is popular), Scrabble, and movies. Add to that musical performances, gentle exercising, religious services, and fun trips to local museums, thrift shops, and other attractions, and residents seldom feel bored at Maplewood Senior Living! There’s an indoor swimming pool and gym, a theater area for gatherings, and a dining room with white linen tablecloths on which chef-curated meals are served. Freshly baked cookies arrive on platters during the day, so the lobby is a fun place to pause awhile. The Wellness department offers around-the-clock nursing availability, and specialists such as podiatrists and hearing professionals make regular visits. There’s a beauty salon, too. Residents particularly enjoy having their hair done right on the premises. Excellent extras: You can bring your beloved pet to live here with you! A pianist performs every Saturday morning on one of the baby grands! This is an exceptionally fine place to live.

I can not speak highly enough about Maplewood. The staff is amazing. They’re caring, empathetic, knowledgeable, professional, and they go above and beyond to make sure that things go smoothly. Speaking of above and beyond, I need to mention Julie Wing. This extraordinary woman has been a lifeline for me. Both times my stepmother has stayed at Maplewood Julie has ‘held my hand’ through some difficult times, always offering a sympathetic ear, emotional support, and helpful solutions. She was also very helpful with sharing information on resources that we could utilize to help with her care when she returned home. Made her transition home so much easier. Apples and oranges compared to other facilities over the past twelve years. I had no idea that some of these resources were available to us until pointed in the right direction by Julie. Such an incredible team at Maplewood! Oh and I have to give a shout-out to the chef and the kitchen staff! The food is remarkable. It’s out of this world, insanely delicious. Actually, I have to shout out every department. Everyone greets you with a smile and a warm disposition. They provide so much help emotionally and physically with such grace and compassion. My stepmother has received the best care in their hands. She has blossomed under their watch. She, even as an introvert, has participated in the many programs that Maplewood offers because the staff made her feel supported and safe. There is a feeling of camaraderie between the residents and the staff. And the other residents are delightful! They are very inclusive and made my stepmother feel welcome throughout both stays.

The staff made my transition from my own condominium to independent living seamless. The units are comfortable; the food is definitely better than I expected; and the variety of activities shows that attention is being paid to the many different needs of the residents. In the midst of the corona virus, we feel attention is being paid to our healthand well-being. This is home. And I love having two bathrooms and washer/dryer.

Our family found my Mother’s “Home Away from Home” at Mayflower Place. She has been a resident for the last month. We could not be happier with the staff and her new home. I have been told by numerous people how clean and well kept it was, and have experienced the same since she has been there. The entire staff is so caring, it is easy to feel the love they have for our family members.
