We recently had to find an Assisted Living facility for our Dad to go to. We saw Amelia Senior Livings great review on World News Health. We met with their Executive Director, Mikel Ardley, for an informative review of what Amelia Senior stood for and offered for services. Mikel gave us a tour of Amelia facility and available rooms. We were extremely pleased with what we heard and saw so we ask to schedule the evaluation required to see what level of care would be needed if he were to come there. They showed up the following day to do the evaluation and got right back to us with what they observed. When my Dad was ready, the Amelia staff efficiently scheduled the transportation and showed up when they said they would. Our Dad was warmly greeted when he arrived. Amelia was accommodating with the move and setting up of his room. Since our Dad has been there he has had remarkable improvements with his health and all of his needs have been genuinely taken care of. They have met and exceeded expectations throughout the whole process. Thank you to Mikel and her entire staff.

Amelia House really cares about their residents. Always trying to keep them interacting with things. My husband and I go to the car shows they have. They are very fun! The cook Shelly is a very caring, loving person. Everyone should have themselves a Shelly.

Been here a few times for some of their events and it is always a fun time with great staff. They are always welcoming and the place is always so well kept. I’ve also heard really good things about the maintenance director there - always helping out the residents when needed and stepping in to help in other departments. I have had the opportunity to visit Amelia Senior Living on several occasions and the one thing I take home EVERY time, is how much the staff love and care for the residents who live there! They display this not only IN their actions, but also in their kind and gentle words! Not every resident has the same needs and the staff know what each and every persons needs are to try and remain as independent as possible while keeping them safe in the process. Each interaction is kind, caring, and respectful, but most of all full of love and compassion.

My mother was at Amelia House for two years. The staff personalized their care to meet her needs and to handle her feisty spirit. She grew to call Amelia her home and to greet the staff with hugs. I knew that when I wasn’t there she was in caring and gentle hands.

I went with a family friend to visit her grandmother and was amazed by how helpful and kind the staff are to the residence and visitors, the Administrator Stephen Osborne was extremely helpful in answering all questions and concerns my friend had. You can tell by the environment, the administrator goes above and beyond I normally don’t write reviews, but I had to share my experience five stars!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Amelia Place. It’s a cozy, comfortable facility that made my Dad feel at home. There are two beautiful courtyards with comfortable chairs and pretty flowers. There is a living room setting with a fireplace. The food is delicious. The staff are simply amazing. They took such great care of my Dad and treated him as if he were a part of their own family.

Amelia Place has the best leadership team and staff! This can be seen by their involvement in their residents' lives with activities, transportation, and great care. It is not uncommon for them to go out of their way to make sure their residents make it to their appointments, that their residents help be a part of the Council Bluffs community through events for those in need, and their door-decorating competitions celebrating each resident individually! Each time that I visit Amelia Place, I am welcomed with a warm smile and appreciate their dedication to seniors in our Council Bluffs community. Great Job!
