Sundial Assisted Living is a truly special place for our relatives, friends, and loved ones who need assisted living, companionship, or additional support. I have been blessed to participate in events there, including volunteering to BBQ and walking alongside residents during special activities. Each time, I have been touched by the kindness and generosity of the staff, their attentiveness to the residents, and the thoughtful way they communicate with and support families. And I must add”the food is wonderful! What stands out most, however, is the genuine compassion shown during life's most difficult and tender moments. We all eventually face the end of our earthly journey, and when the time comes for a loved one to leave us and sit beside our King, the prayers, gentleness, dignity, and care offered by the staff can mean more than words can adequately express. I am deeply grateful for the people who dedicate themselves to caring for others in this way. Sundial is more than a place of assistance; it is a community where residents and their families can experience kindness, dignity, compassion, and care when they need it most.

Our family is very impressed with Sundial! We were worried about finding a nice place for mom to live out her days in comfort. We stopped by for a tour and fell in love with Sundial. All the staff there are wonderful caring people. Its very welcoming and homey there. Lots of fun activities, and entertainment. I could tell the residents are happy and cared for there. The dining room has good meals, served like a restaurant that makes everyone feel special. There are pretty patios and garden areas. There is a sweet front "porch" to sit on and relax and watch the scenery. We highly recommend Sundial!

We will be forever grateful that our beloved mother, Myrna Moravec, lived long enough to enjoy "The Sundial Experience." Although we wish she would have become a long-term resident, her six months at Sundial provided a safe, comfortable, and caring environment - what every loving family hopes for. The physical facility is top-notch. The rooms are clean and spacious. All specialty rooms are perfectly designed for activities suited for the residents. The food served in the lovely dining room is consistently delicious. Anyone concerned about that issue - which is quite important for our senior citizens - should not worry. The entire facility is well maintained and from the moment one steps through the front door, a feeling of "home" is abundant. What elevates Sundial above its competitors is the quality of its staff. Administration is attentive, compassionate, and present. And it is the daily care by the aides and medical staff that make Sundial a safe and special home for our loved ones. It would be impossible to express enough gratitude to Sundial's personnel, but our positive interactions with the following individuals will remain in our hearts forever: CEO-Elizabeth, Marketing-Maria, Business Office-Michelle, Medical Mgt.-Sherrill, Med Techs-Liz, Virginia, Rhonda, Shannon, Rhea, Aides-Addison, Kabaou, Kim, Vicki, Sara, Nancy, Stormy, Laundry-Nancy, Activities-Christy, Maintenance-Trevor, Dining Room-EVERYONE! So many excellent staff, and we apologize if we've missed other names, but you were all important and made a huge difference in our mother's life, as well as our own. As I end this review, please know that our family will always be grateful for the peaceful, compassionate, caring, and loving environment that was provided throughout our mother's passing. Sundial works closely with other agencies, and in our case, with a local hospice company. Together, they cared for our beloved mother to the end of her life. We truly love and appreciate all the staff who helped us through this difficult life experience. We hope for many others to enjoy a longer and happy "Sundial Experience."

From the moment we walked up to the front door we felt comfortable/at home. There was such a nice clean flowery smell through the front door continuing all through the building. We met with the advisor Maria for the tour. She was warm, friendly and caring. As we walked through the tour there were friendly employees. The tenants were mostly engaged in group activities or socializing. Everyone seemed happy and contected. This place was full of love and caring. We have toured many other homes and we chose this one for sure! Although the rooms are on the small size, they can be decorated to be a nice little home with room for a few visitors. Also, the social room and dining room are lovely along with the outside gardens so there is plenty room for everyone. If you want your loved one in a homey loving place I highly recommend you check into Sundial.

I chose Sundial Assisted Living for my mother, because of all the things they offered, especially activities for the residence : excercise, activity room to play bingo, cards, crafts, bbq, movie night & popcorn, pizza parties, birthday party celebrations, music entertainers ,hair salon, laundry service, a reading & computer section, & wonderful meals 3x a day. They have outings to restaurants or shopping on some Fridays. They have in house nurse along with med techs, residence could be driven to their doctor appointments every Tuesday & Thursday but it has to be scheduled with the nurse. They have a pastor that holds church service every Sunday. They have a wonderful administrative staff, kitchen staff, aid staff, & an activity director! if a parent is at the end of their life, they recommend Bristol Hospice. Bristol is on top of helping the parent & their guardian right away! My mom was at the point of needing hospice right away, & Bristol didn’t waste any time giving her the added care she needed! They have a nurse who comes out two times a week, but they have 24 hour nurses on call if needed. Bristol has added staff, too, to help the families out! They go out of their way to provide any help you need! Sundial was just the right size, well kept inside & out ( clean), nice gardens you can walk through & sit, & residence can have small pets, too! Over all, I was happy with Sundial Assisted Living & my mom enjoyed it there making new friends & what they had to offer! They took real good care of my mom, & I truly appreciated that! I attended an evening event at Sundial Assited Living. Not only was it fun, but it was a great chance to see how the staff and residents interacted. The staff would stop and talk to the residents, calling them by name, even if they were just walking past them. The place was warm, clean and welcoming. Having an option for respite care for 1 - 30 days is an incredible option as well. I would not hesitate to have my loved one stay short term/respite or permanently there. I know they would be loved and cared for in a safe community.

My name is Theresa Moravec. From the moment my sister and I met Maria Gridley, Marketing Director, Sundial Assisted Living, we knew our mother would be in good hands. As the face of the company, Maria welcomes prospective new residents and their families with kindness, compassion, and excitement. She communicates in an exceedingly timely, professional, and knowledgeable manner. We anticipated our mother's move-in to be within a 2-week timeframe, but due to several setbacks at a local rehab facility, the move-in was delayed 2 months. Throughout this time, Maria kept in contact, was reassuring about out mother's future move-in, and promptly answered our numerous questions. Sundial Assisted Living has been home for my mother for 5 months, however our relationship began many months before move-in day. The accommodating front office staff supported us while we fluctuated between ready and not ready, including a private tour and lunch, with never any pressure to take residence until the time was right for my mother. The staff at Sundial could not be more caring. Transition to a new community was challenging for my mother after 30 years in her home. Sundial staff is gentle and understanding, attitudes are upbeat. My mother says the best part of Sundial is the staff. The also enjoys her privacy, the many programs and meal selection. Her room is comfortable and bright. She loves her neighbors. We are fortunate and thankful to have chosen well for our mother.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Sundial Assisted Living for a community event, and I was truly impressed. From the moment I walked in, the building felt so homey, clean, and welcoming”it didn’t have that facility feel at all. Everything was well maintained, and it even smelled nice, which isn’t something you can always say when visiting senior communities. One of the highlights was playing bingo with the residents. It was such a fun and heartwarming experience. You could tell the activity was part of their regular routine and not just something put on for visitors. The residents were engaged, smiling, and genuinely enjoying themselves. It was beautiful to see. The staff we encountered were all friendly, professional, and presentable. They seemed to know the residents well and were attentive to their needs, which speaks volumes. The residents themselves looked well cared for”clean, happy, and comfortable in their environment. It’s clear that Sundial puts a lot of heart into what they do. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to go there.

Answers were smart, prompt and accurate. In the end, due to outside issues, we never placed my mother into the facilty. My mom recently stayed at Sundial Assisted Living facility for a first time respite visit. Each day when we spoke, she raved about the delicious meals, the friendly staff, and the many activities she could choose from each day. Mom said, The people who work here are so nice to me, and the food is so good I can’t resist. The facility is well appointed and very clean. The outdoor spaces offer relaxing seating with well cared for landscaping that make it pleasant to sit and enjoy. My family and I have peace of mind that mom was so well cared for. Our family is so thankful that we chose Sundial Assisted Living to care for our Mother at this time in her life. The entire staff, all the way from the top administrator Elizabeth to the hands on care giving associates like Sara, are so genuinely loving and protective of their residents, it is hard to imagine that there is a better place for Mom to be cared for than at Sundial Assisted Living. The Nursing staff, headed up by Melanie, see to it that the best in medical help is provided. We are very impressed with the high quality of professional health care that is available at and in association with Sundial. Not to mention the compassion and love that is so clearly shown to their residents along with that medical care. My family " shopped around" at every major Assisted Living facility in Redding, and from the moment we met Maria, their Social and Marketing Director, we had a very good feeling about that place....and it proved to be one of the best decisions we could make for where Mom could enjoy her days during this season of her life.

She felt loved, surrounded in a comfortable environment, and her every need was attended to in such a quick and efficient manner. Melanie, the nurse, was especially amazing in administering care to my mother, and was instrumental in getting all the needed disciplines on board quickly and efficiently, in order to make my mother's last days as comfortable as humanly possible. I was a resident at Sundial Assisted Living Facility from September 2023 through February 2024. The reason I left in February is I no longer need daily assistance. The staff was very instrumental in my health improving, always being positive and encouraging me to be better. They also managed my medications, listened to my long winded stories, and took me to my medical appointments. I arrived at Sundial in a wheelchair and I could barely stand on my own. I needed a walker or a cane for even short walks during this time. I had many medical issues still needing to be addressed upon my arrival. I was broken emotionally and very sad as I was still recovering from my neck & spine surgery in February of 2023. The staff lifted my spirits and helped me improve with their compassion and encouragement, giving me hope. When I left Sundial, I was able to walk without assistance, all of my medical issues were addressed, the wheelchair is now in storage and I’m living on my own. Besides the staff, the residents were also very friendly and a big part of my stay and recovery at Sundial. It took a whole team to help me. The staff includes Management, Nurses, Kitchen Workers, Administrative Help, Med-Techs, Housekeepers, Facility Workers, and Resident Aide’s. I crossed path with more than 30 workers over my 5+ months at Sundial. Each worker having a big part of my recovery and improved health. Here are some of the many reasons to consider Sundial for a family member. *Rooms kept clean and garbage taken out daily *Breakfast Made to Order *Medical Issues Monitored *Events & Special Meals During the Holidays *Daily Entertainment *Staff Cares about Residents *Rides to Appointments and Shopping Provided *Homemade Desserts *Snacks Available *Cable TV Provided *Medications Managed *The Food is Tasty and Service is Great *Family Visitation is Encouraged *Residents Treated with Respect by Staff *Very Safe and Clean Facility, Inside & Out For me just talking to a staff member lifted my spirits. I was very sad and lonely when I arrived but when I left I was upbeat and hopeful. Over the last year and a week, I’ve been in various medical facilities and have struggled mightily. Over the last 5+ months it was Sundial Assisted Living Facility that helped me find my way to a better life with their love, compassion, and encouragement. I am hopeful today, but I’ll never be able to thank my friends and family at Sundial Assisted Living Facility enough for getting me better and healthy. I’m optimistic about my future.

Two days after my mother-in-law moved into Sundial was subjected to a lock down for residents due to Covid-19. The mandate to remain in your room was lifted for a period of time and grandma was able to build relationships with other residents. The staff especially Lisa (Med Tech) and Elizabeth (Marketing) are always there for all of us. They are doing extremely well managing Covid. Staff and residents are being tested monthly and now weekly. They are taking this seriously and protecting the residents...not all facilities are!
