My mom has been in Sunrise memory care for about a year. The staff takes excellent care of her there. She always has the same staff members assigned to her so they get to know everything about her which is important. There are plenty of planned activities and really good food. She is very happy there. Staff is also very welcoming to Family members. They are always texting me pictures or to give me updates on her health.

Relocating a loved one to Assistant Living can be difficult. Change for many is not always an open welcome. The decision to transition my parents to Assistant Living came as a need. Both 85+, mom not ambulatory, but mentally sharp! Dad, physically, is in better condition. Aids that were coming to the house were not always reliable and it became a revolving door with my parents' safety and trust of those in / out their home always a top priority. After visiting several facilities, Sunrise of Jackson was hands down an easy choice. From the time my parents arrived, they whisked dad away, checked vitals, fed him, he was hooked! Mom and I came later, as she required ambulatory service. Those I have encountered, leadership, staff, residents, have all been warm, friendly, and approachable. Creating a routine for mom with dignity, and compassion is intimately addressed by her Leadership Care Team. I am happy with the decision for my parents and sleep better knowing they are safe and well cared for!

Sunrise memory care facility is top notch. Extremely well trained staff that works together, like a family. My family member is well taken care of above and beyond. I am so grateful for their outstanding compassionate care, service and commitment . The nursing staff is great, very compassionate and aware of needs for my family member.

Dealing with COVID 19, the director and staff always kept mom and our family up to date with procedures and also keeping her care and comfort primary. A delight always to visit, the setup also was comfortable. COVID aside we believe it was the best place for her.

I have never had an issue contacting the Executive Director of the facility with any questions and her responsiveness is a cut above. I can rest easy knowing that my mother is in caring hands.

My sister was a resident at Sunrise of Jackson for 2 ½ years, suffering from advanced dementia. I had looked at many other assisted living facilities in the area but when I walked into Sunrise and met with the Sales Team, I knew it was the right place for her. The facility is spacious, attractive and well maintained. The staff at Sunrise is tremendous. They are skilled, loving, caring and dedicated. As my sisters condition worsened, the staff was able to provide the additional care and attention she required. Many thanks to Sunrise for keeping her healthy, happy and safe. From the moment we first walked into Sunrise of Jackson we felt the love and kindness. Although my mom did not live there for very long (6 months) the staff has left a lasting impression on my family. The level of commitment the staff has for their residents is outstanding. Everyone always went above and beyond to make sure my mom was well taken care of, had everything she needed, was happy, and respected. They did a great job keeping me updated on my mom especially during the pandemic when we were unable to visit as well as always letting the families of their residents know what they were doing to keep things as normal as possible and the new they things they were implementing during these crazy times. When my mom lived at Sunrise of Jackson I was able to sleep at night knowing that she was safe and being taken care of. My family will always be grateful to everyone at Sunrise of Jackson for everything they did and we are going to miss seeing everyone. You are all now part of our family.

Our mom moved into Sunrise of Jackson in the Reminiscence community after our dad passed away over five years ago. Although she had been diagnosed with Alzheimers years before and couldn't live on her own, the loving care and stimulation she received at Sunrise actually improved her condition. She became an active member of the community, participating in games, sing-alongs and crafts. As a family, we enjoyed barbecues and special events. On many occasions we were able to reserve a private dining room to celebrate birthdays and holidays. We visited several times a week, and got to know the staff very well. We later moved our aunt to Sunrise as well, and recommended it to two other families who later moved in. In large part, our happiness with mom's care and our family's well being was to due to the care of Melissa Kinsella and her staff. Melissa was always ready to address any concerns that arose as mom's needs changed, with reassurance that set our minds at ease. Annie Hudak, the Life Enrichment Manager, not only enriched mom's life, but she became someone we came to love as a friend and support. Kadie Sesay was mom's Care Manager for many years of her time in REM and reassured us that she was safe and well cared for. Wilma Lazok took care of mom with love, as did Mabel Bondi, calling to let us know if mom needed anything, caring for her if she got sick. Gail Lester was also there to address concerns. After mom's last hospitalization, we wanted her to return to Sunrise, her home and ours for the last several years. This remarkable team treated the end of her life with dignity and respect, and embraced our family during this difficult time. We think of them often and stay in touch, and would recommend Sunrise of Jackson wholeheartedly to any family looking for a home for a loved one.

I have been familiar with Sunrise at Jackson for the past 5 years since my mother became a resident... Our family visited 3 other facilities at that time, and we all remarked when we saw Sunrise that we knew it was “home.” Firstly the staff is stellar. Most of the employees have become like family over the years. My mother was treated with the upmost respect and care. Apart from her own family caregiving, this is as good as it gets. She passed away almost 2 years ago but I continue to return as I have made close ties with staff and residents. Before her passing she was put on hospice. The accommodations were amazing, the skill level of the nursing was top notch & the personal love and care was like no other. We are very thankful for the people that make up Sunrise. We have been blessed in every way. We would highly recommend Sunrise of Jackson.

It is with our sincerest apologies, that we didn't write this sooner. Dad spent 3 1/2 years at Sunrise of Jackson suffering from dementia, and passed in January 2018. We felt so comforted to know he was in such good care. Mom's health then took a sudden turn having had several strokes and required professional care. There was no question in our minds that we would contact Sunrise again. She unfortunately passed away within a week of residing at Sunrise in January 2019. We can't express enough how hard the team worked to comfort mom and ourselves through such a hard time...once again! The entire team is absolutely amazing! Mom's condition was quite severe when she arrived, and each day the staff was doing everything that they could to help. We want to thank Amy, Gabby, Dru-Claire, and Melissa (REM) for all their hard work before mom even arrived. That being said, our thanks goes out to everyone in REM for taking care of her and our family. There are many special people in this community that will remain in our hearts, and we truly hope they know who they are. Love, the St. Laurent family

My sister and I just returned from a tour of Sunrise of Jackson. Well, what can I say. We entered and my name was on a sign to welcome me. Wow. The place is wonderful, a place you would want to see your elderly parents living in if the need arises and for my family, that time has come with a dad with progressive dementia and a mom who needs help for herself and my dad. What a staff. Dino is the Director of Sales, took us all around, answered every question and felt our anguish about this whole situation with our parents. He understood. Everyone we saw on staff friendly saying hello taking time to talk with us. The residents happy and being attended to. The assisted living apartments, beautiful. So clean and decorated so lovely. My sister and I were so impressed that we thought to ourselves and said it out loud that we would live there. And to top off the visit, Dino, a very understanding and caring person, hands us a hot apple pie. I left there feeling that this could be home for my parents and are hoping that this can be the place for them with Dino's help. Thank you to everyone there from the bottom of my heart. You all deserve 5 stars!
