My mom had the best year and a half of her life there. She made friends, did some of the activities, went to church and was given such good care by the staff. We did get charged for level 3 care when my mother was in the hospital and didn’t get the full 7 months of $300 discount but they said we would receive a refund. Kelly was such a blessing to my mom. She made her feel comfortable from day 1. My only complaint was with Ryan when I was trying to get answers about what standards my mom needed to meet to come back and what the move out policy was since I couldn’t find my contract. They still deserve 5 stars ⭐️ in my mind. My little boy Brady was allowed to visit and brought so much joy to everyone there. Mom and I miss everyone there. She’s unfortunately had to move somewhere with a higher level of care. Last note, my grandmother lived here 17 years ago when it was called Willow Creek. I guess my turn is next.

We put my grandma in 2 weeks ago and since then they haven't let us see her. They just told us today we can't see her for another week so now it will be 3 weeks. They never told us they wouldn't let her see us for that long and they keep extending the time. We are not allowed to talk to her at all or see her so we don't even know if she likes the place or not. Stay away from this place. Would not recommend

But she’s been there 1.5 years and is doing great. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. While the expense is a burden, their rates are reasonable as far as assisted living goes. My companion of 12 years spent almost 5 years ling here, both in Assisted living and in Memory Care. They have some very caring staff there. Food isn't bad, but could be better. Place is clean and receptionist is superb. Charlie has a heart for the Vets who live there. Can't give 5 stars to the 3 directors that have worked there the last 5 years. It's a job to them . Period. Residents in Memory care need more 1 on 1 attention. Most times I visited they just stare at the TV or walk in circles. Not much stimulation. Several never get a visitor. Sharing their room with a roommate, not a rewarding experience in my opinion. Many of Sonny's clothes were missing or being worn by the roommate. Room and board rates are reasonable here and would still recommend this place even without 5 stars.

Desert View Senior Living and Uplift Hospice sets the high standard in Las Vegas. Everywhere else is a distant second. I placed a family member there in Dec 2023 after touring 10 facilities since 2016 in anticipation of ultimate placement once this person could no longer live by themselves. Consequently, I knew the tangible and intangible factors I was seeking. My expectations were exceeded. As a career naval officer, I have a good sense for teams where winning is a habit, or in this context outstanding, compassionate care is the norm. Charlie, a man of action and sincerity made the transition seamless. Every single member from Mindy at the front desk to executives like Ryan, Jose, the Maintenance Chief to all the wonderful medical technicians impressed me as total professionals. I feel especially qualified to give this review as my family member rapidly declined and I was there 1-2Xs/day for 2 months. Not only was I warmed by the care my mother received, I observed the medtechs' care for all the residents. Cheerfulness, anticipation of needs, meticulous attention to detail is the culture at Desert View Senior Living. As I live out of state, I had to depart and return; AT NO TIME did I feel my presences was necessary. This was validated repeatedly by phone calls I recieved from staff and the hospice company, Uplift Hospice-- see my similar review for that company. Their coordination and communications were excellent.

Our mother had been a resident for nearly a year. She went into the hospital before Christmas and the plan was for her to return to Desert View after rehab and a short term stay elsewhere. She passed away suddenly at the rehab facility last week. The next day, I called Desert View multiple times to let them know and no one answered. We decided to go to her apartment (less then 24 hours after she passed) because we needed some paperwork from the apartment. As we were about to enter the apartment, Charlie, a staff member who shows apartments was coming out of her room with two random people he was showing her room too. Please keep in mind this was a paid unit as it is on auto pay, we were not behind in rent. Since she had been gone for a few weeks, her mail was on the counter by the door, and it was clearly stated tax documents and social security information. Charlie comes out and I say what are you doing, he holds up his key and announces that he is allowed to be in the unit. I say you may be allowed in the unit, but you are not allowed to show random people a unit that has an occupant. He ended up telling me I needed to speak with the Manager Ryan, who long story short was yelling he was going to call the police on us, we ended up calling the police on him/the facility. While the lease states ‘emergencies, to make repairs and improvements, or if there is a reason belief that your safety or the safety of others is in question,’ Ryan highlighted the next sentence which says, “When we deem necessary or advisable.” However, the next sentence says they need to give notice. All of this was referring to the emergencies or repairs the sentence prior. We had planned on keeping and paying for the unit through February so that we could clean out her personal items and then open her unit to the facility and the residents and let them take what they want. However, we were told we had until the end of the month. As we were removing all her items I spoke with several residents, one said, yes, they do this all the time. I told her she can say no! So, if you are looking for an assisted living facility for yourself or for your loved one and you want privacy and respect, I would suggest you look elsewhere. The facility was under the assumption she was coming back but still had the audacity to show her apartment, break the lease, show absolutely no compassion and even though they told the police officers they would apologize they never did. This has now been officially reported to the State. They also cut back on their food, and even if you miss a meal you are not allowed a second helping and dessert is one small cookie.

I would highly recommend Desert View Senior Living to anyone seeking a "home," not just a place to reside.

Mom has been living at Desert View Senior living for 5 weeks now. All I can say is this place is AWESOME! Everyone is extremely helpful, loving and caring. Mom has many new friends now. She went from living alone with no one to talk to, to telling me she is busy daily. Just to hear the happiness in moms voice and to see the smile on her face brings happy tears to my eyes. Charlie and CeCe are magnificent! The caregivers, med techs, chiefs, activity director and everyone who I didn't mention We love you all! Thank You for taking such great care of my mom and all the other residents at Desert Views! And BTW....... The food is GREAT! MOM loves it.

Rent was paid for September but my Mother passed away on August 31. I was promised a refund the day after she passed and then again on September 29. As of today October 28, still no refund.

ALL of the staff here have been absolutely wonderful, helpful and they really do care about each of their residents and their families. I had no idea what I was doing when I started looking for a place for my Grandpa, but they have walked us through every step and been very patient, knowledgeable and extremely kind. This facility is beautiful and clean and also top-notch in safety. Even maintenance/housekeeping and receptionist staff are incredibly caring, thoughtful, and wonderful. Sylvia (maintenance/housekeeping), is an incredible sweetheart and my special thanks to her for taking the time out of her busy schedule to help me in the ways she did when I was moving him in on NY day. I feel so much better knowing that he is safe now, and will be well cared for. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for an absolutely first class, top rate place for their loved ones. If I need to choose a place for myself someday, I would choose this place. Special thanks to staff members Charlie Wolff, Joseph Rank, and Mike Trail for all of their support and kindness. You all have been so wonderful. I am so grateful to all of you for your care and compassion and it gives me hope there are still good people out there. DO NOT TRUST THIS FACILITY - MR. WOLFE MANIPULATES ELDERS TO MAKE WAY FOR MANIPULATIVE ACTIONS TO CONTINUE. The management lie to protect themselves not to protect your love ones. Our Mother went here to get better, she became slowly worse because the really needed medical care. Mr. Wolfe excepted her as an ideal resident even though she could not stand alone or walk. She suffered a fall we tried to investigate, but the facility took away our rights by threatening our Mother with a 30 day notice to leave putting her in a very difficult position. They also told her they could not deal with our questioning an accident which occurred under their care, and the overcharges we identified on her account. The faculty were making way to charge our our parents affairs until we had to request that for her own safety she needed to find a new POA. Be careful to identify these manipulative acts are and if they are report the abuse to the licensing agency and the elder protection services. This facility doe not adhere to duties placed upon them and should be avoided at all costs. There are true accounts of what happened to our loved one. AVOID THIS FACILITY WITH ALL OF YOUR MIGHT. Hope these true accounts help you decide NOT TO GO HERE! Reviews are true accounts of a personal experience dealing with these organisation and they should be there so people can make carefully decisions for a very important decisions for your family.

It truly is unfortunate that families that dont have an understanding of the regulations for assisted living or ex-employees intent on trying to influence the reputation of any community by posting a negative review are given a public platform that cannot be regulated. Responding with full disclosure would be inappropriate on a public basis.When choosing a community, look at all resources and reviews and get the big picture when making a decision. To help clarify regulations, Assisted Living is regulated by the State of Nevada and are not medical models. For example, they do not do x-rays, cannot diagnose a medical issue, and do not maintain medical files on a resident as those are private issues maintained by the resident and their physician. Assisted Living may facilitate a call to 911 for the resident who may appear to be needing medical assistance but they cannot perform a medical act or prevent a resident from seeking medical attention. It is the right of the individual or their designated Power of Attorney to make any decision pertaining to their health. Assisted Living provides standby-assist only, providing assistance with daily life skills and should not be confused with nursing facilitys. In addition, a residents personal health care information is protected by law and we do not disclose information regarding care to any individuals to family member without their consent.

We visited a few Assisted living facilities before choosing Desert View. Not a big fan of SALESMEN, which all facilities have.....but this place has a guy named [name removed] that treats you like family. No push to impress, rather he looks for a good fit. Quality care is their goal here and so far I have seen that exemplified by many staff members. Minor problems are addressed and resolved expediently. Other residents are quick to make newcomers fit in. I think this is going to be a great fit for my man and I am anxious to see him thrive, which will also take some burden off me. Check them out!!

I very disappointed with how they took care of my sister. She asked the nurses several times to check her temperature for she was feeling not well. They ignored her request for 3 days and was taken by ambulance on the fourth day for she had a high fever that almost killed her. Now she has an in infection in her body. She was undergoing chemotherapy and was going on her 4th session. Now she can't have it done because of the infection. I am very very upset. You folks will be hearing from my lawyer. You folks neglect a patients care. I demand her money back for she trusted that your place was a safe place to go and be taken care of. How dare ya folks to ignore the people there . Not only that but I was reported that the food there is low class frozen food and it was not given to the patients it was almost thrown at them on the table. Also going through her room when she wasn't in it. You folks need to contact me or else I see an attorney. Thanks for reading but no thanks on your caregiving. No ratings from me and people that reads this please look closely before sending any member of your family there. The price is way to much also for the care they give. So long.
