This is a great community. The new executive director and resident care coordinator are doing a wonderful job. The community is clean and has no bad smells. The rooms are nice size and furnished with stylish furniture. The small community setting is quiet and peaceful and has been a great environment! That helps with the overwhelming feelings that often come with moving into any care setting. I highly recommend contacting them for your loved ones.

When we moved my mother here things started out good and we were satisfied with the service that they provided, however, when my mother died it became extremely difficult getting any kind of communication with management. We have attempted on multiple occasions to contact management but have been met with voicemails and no return phone calls or email after being promised that someone will contact either myself or my father. I did speak to the finance manager and she promised that someone from corporate would call me back and she was going to send me an email and that was roughly a month ago. Dealing with the death of a love one is difficult by itself but now having to deal with this is adding to my grief.

We were so blessed to have taken our Mother to Mocksville Senior Living....we knew she was being taken care of through the most difficult time of Mother’s life. Chasty there is a real jewel.....the number of times she took it personally to help us and Mom was so appreciated.....

Although they did not have a bed available in memory care for my dad, Dyane and Chasity were very responsive and helpful in me finding an alternative location that fit his needs at one of their sister locations. They were very patient with me as I panicked some what and may of called and text several times on different things. Thank you for your kindness and help with everything.

Great Atmosphere, Residents come first in the community. I have so many friends and family there. Great place for your loved one. And Great food. Residents have so much fun with the staff by playing cards, board games, bingo and so much more. That's my second family.

My husband became a resident in June 2019 with the Drs at the hospital not giving us much hope of recovery. Said brain damage was too extensive. He has been there 5.5 months now and he recognizes people, feeds himself, and can have a conversation with you. He is still a little forgetful but he has come a long long way from laying in the bed not speaking or doing anything. They have been AWESOME. I will miss the staff and residents that he has made friends with when he comes home. I would recommend this facility to anyone.

Two years ago before I moved my mother to this facility, I spoke with a gentleman from Affinity, the new owners of Mocksville Senior Living. He assured me that given time, I would be pleased with all the new changes that were going to take place. I am still waiting. Sure, they went in and made all kinds of cosmetic changes and made it pleasing to the eyes. However, that did not do anything concerning the care of the residents. For instance, short of staff, bathrooms constantly running out of tissue paper, and paper towels. Ice machine has been torn of for months so ice is being brought in from another facility and not bagged. Cross contamination! Sometimes that runs out and some of the workers have gone and bought ice so that the residents would have some for their meals. Residents are constantly running out of clean clothes because the washing machine stays torn up. For weeks, only one housekeeper for the entire facility. Therefore, nothing was getting cleaned as often as it should. Residents personal items not being properly taken care of. Someone else's dentures were put in my Mothers mouth. Someone else's clothes were put on my Mother, and they had the other ladies name in them. My mother is in the memory unit so she cannot defend herself. The shower room on the memory unit is old and outdated. Plus, there is mold in it. This facility was sited for mold in the bathrooms in 2018. My Mother got sick during the night and messed up her blanket and bedspread. These were her personal items and we do her laundry. For 3 nights, she had to sleep with nothing to cover up with but a sheet because no one bothered to call and let us know that she had messed up her blanket and bedspread and no one bothered to find her something else to cover up with. She is 88 years old. Affinity can brag about all the facilities that they are buying or building but they cannot brag too much about Mocksville Senior Living and the issues going on there. Maybe the reasons things are not getting fixed is because they have run out of money. After all, some business in Davie County have had to take them to court for bills that are several months old and they have not paid. Simple fix, cannot get the parts for the ice maker, buy a new one. Get more washers and dryers. Hire more help. Pay the workers more and that will get you better help. I have pictures of all these issues and I will gladly share.
