This is written by my husband. Everyone has a opinion and their own way at looking at things. So are the reviews of Fair Haven. The facility is older but is well maintained. Its kept clean and organized. My mother-in-law entered Fair Haven over two years ago. From day one she was welcomed and treated with respect. Eleanor the owner trys to operate the facility the way it needs to be operated. There are rules the state says must be followed. This is what must people see Eleanor taking care of. Every place like this sees a higher level of turn around when it comes to employees. People do not realize what it takes to be a caretaker of someone who has special needs. They enter into it thinking it will be easy and then realize its actually work. Back to my mother-in-law. She enjoyed being there. They have activities for the residents to participate in. There is something pretty much every day . Everything from bingo to crafts to bible study. Also volunteers come in for different activities. They took very good care of my mother-in-law. Even when she started slowing down they did not leave her behind or left out. They adjusted what needed to be done. My mother-in-law had a dramatic turn downwards. It was quick and sudden. They did not bat an eye to what needed to be done. They went over and above. It was my mother-in-laws home and that was the way they treated her. In my opinion they did a great job. You need to form your own opinion.

I currently live 600+ miles from Hanover PA and go see my grandmother, who has been there a few years now, as much as I can make it but I feel at ease knowing she is at Fair Havens. The owner and staff here are nothing short of competent and comforting. Who wants to leave their elderly family member with anyone at all? But sometimes taking care of them is beyond your control... any person who takes on the care of an elderly person is admirable. It can be very time consuming and tiring. My grandmother is not the easiest, nicest person out there, lets be honest she is 93 years old and you wouldnt be the happiest, loving person at that age either! But the staff at Fair Havens takes the best care of her and she feels more then at home with them. She even likes all of them and half the time she doesnt like me (her own granddaughter) 😉 I would recommend Fair Havens Assisted Living to anyone looking for a home for there parent, grandparent, family member, friend, etc. they go above and beyond what they need to and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I just recently took my newborn baby girl to see her great grandmother and had no worries of any sickness at all. The place is very clean and well taken care of. As for the negative reviews and the people who write them... you simply cant pelase everyone. Not every place is suitable for everyone person and thats okay. But Im here to tell you that Eleanor, the owner, and all her staff are very capable of taking care of your loved one. I am of the younger generation and believe of high quality service for most things in life. This is by far a very down to earth, just like your at home kind of establishment with caring staff and residents. You cant pelase everyone, but you can give it a shot. Thank you Fair Havens for taking care of my Mummum!

I can only start by saying Fairhavens and Eleanor (the owner) are Heaven Sent to my sister Donna and I (Pat). Day one which was four years ago we found Fairhavens for our Mom (Jennie) we all felt at home. The staff are well qualified. The place is clean and well organized. My mom loves it there and has never had any problems with anything or anyone. My mom is still living there and loving all the special care that they provide. My sister Donna or I visit every other day one of us are covering the week different times of the day, they are always welcoming all day anytime. We both would recommend this home to anyone with loved ones that need extra care.Thank You to Fairhavens, Eleanor, ALL the special staff ( sorry I can’t list everyone by name) you all know who and how special you are, we do appreciate all that you do all that you give on a daily basis YOU ARE THE BEST!
