I have clients whose homes I have sold and they have relocated and joined the Blenheim Community. I have visited many times and there is always a cheerful atmosphere, people walking and talking and relaxing inside and out on nice days. The daily activities are posted in various locations so all will know to participate and where to go. The food is well prepared, staff is very friendly and accommodating and the building and grounds are spotless.

Me & my Director for Rehab, Alicia, had the most wonderful tour today with Tracy! The apartments are absolutely beautiful & the grounds are so clean & serene! Blenheim is a wonderful community. From the welcoming staff, the dining, activities and wonderful setting in Middletown. I have had such pleasant interactions with Tracey Cale. She makes you and your loved ones feel cared for and welcome from that first call, answering questions and truly making sure that you are comfortable with her community. That’s the best a family can ask for, and makes a world of difference when choosing a residence for a parent.

My rating is based solely on the research process and not on someone living there because ultimately my person was rejected by the nurse due to being on oxygen and "not being able to mange it" themselves. Tracy the admin coordinator was AMAZING! She fought so hard to get my person in but it's really important for folks to know if your person is on oxygen it's going to be almost impossible to get them into assisted living in RI as the assisted living license doesn't allow them to help with oxygen at all and that include portable machines and cpap/bipap so if your person tells the nurse doing the assessment they have trouble with the straps they are likely to fail as not being able to manage their own oxygen even though they've been keeping themselves alive for 2 years on oxygen! Price wise Blenheim was very reasonable for everything they provide. The staff all seemed to know the residents walking around and there were always people out and about. The rooms were good size and the bathrooms nice. No overhead lights so you'd need lamps.

My mom and dad moved into Blenheim almost 14 years ago. My dad needed more support than my mother at the time. The staff at Blenheim were incredibly supportive when my dad passed. Since then, my mom has stayed and has gotten such wonderful support from all of the staff at Blenheim. The nurses, the aides and the people who manage exercise programs have all been amazing! My mom is very happy with the food at Blenheim. Spending time in the dining room with her friends is wonderful. As a family, the other residents always welcome us when we go for meals. Chris Peckham is doing an amazing job as the executive director! We feel so lucky to have him!

It’s still hard to believe that my father’s dementia has progressed to the point where the best solution is to reside in a senior living community. I was literally sick with worry, and felt hopeless. We are a very, very close family. My mother would never leave her best friend and partner, so she needed to find some place where they could both live together. She researched 24 facilities all over the country, and chose Blenheim-Newport. She is extremely happy with this choice. If you knew my mother, you would know that she is not easily impressed. Not only is Blenheim-Newport beautiful and refreshing, the staff is kind, empathetic, personable and dedicated to insuring that every aspect of my parents’ daily life is the very best it can be. This wonderful staff has demonstrated this every day. Just knowing that my parents are in the best possible situation, makes me extremely happy and grateful. For the first time in a long time the tears coming from my eyes were of happiness while witnessing the nurses interacting with my father. It was really unbelievable. Absolutely felt like my parents are treated like royalty. Thank you so much to all staff for everything you do on a daily basis to ensure the absolute best life my parents can have. Truly love you.

One of the hardest and most stressful aspects of caring for aging loved ones is making sure that they are safe, independent and well taken care of, that they deserve. When the decision is made that assisted living would be the a good fit rest assured if you choose the Blenheim - Newport you have made a wise decision. The place is well cared for the staff is fabulous. The decision to move my parents into the Blenheim “ Newport was by far the BEST decision I have ever made concerning the care for my parents. The care and compassion that they received was five stars +. The best decision we could have made for our step-mom! Blenheim-Newport has been wonderful. A friendly, safe environment with daily activities and care that we would never have been able to provide if she stayed in her home.
