My father lived here as a tenant for nearly four years. During the early years he required very little assistance and our experience was generally positive. However, toward the end of his stay we encountered several issues that I believe other families should be aware of when considering this facility. First, I want to recognize the positive aspects of our experience. Stacy, the Director of Activities, and the kitchen staff were consistently kind and attentive. My father enjoyed interacting with them and spoke very highly of them. That said, in my experience some staff members could benefit from additional training in communication and compassionate care. I understand that caregiving is difficult work and that residents may sometimes be challenging, but respectful treatment is important. For example, on one occasion I was sitting with my father during dinner when another resident at the table appeared to be experiencing a diabetic episode. When an aide arrived, I observed her speaking to the resident in a raised and critical tone about his blood sugar levels. When EMTs arrived shortly afterward, her tone changed significantly. Another challenge we experienced involved billing transparency. In our case, it was difficult to obtain an itemized explanation of the monthly care points we were being billed for. I made multiple phone calls and sent emails requesting clarification but did not receive the detailed breakdown I was seeking. After my father returned for what was described to us as hospice-related care, his care points increased from 19 to 100 (we understood his care was significantly changing). I believe it is reasonable to expect a clear explanation of what services those charges represent. After my father passed away, still waiting for an itemized listing of his charges we asked if he was being charged for transportation to the dining room, which they confirmed, and they also confirmed my father transported himself. After raising this issue, they agreed to refund around $500. On two separate visits, I personally observed my father’s catheter bag full and either resting on the floor or hanging from the bed. Families should also be aware that, according to the facility’s policy, a 30-day notice to vacate is required after a resident passes away, meaning rent will still be charged during that period. Because we had to pay for the next month, we left some furniture temporarily in the room. When we returned to collect the remaining items, we discovered that a piece of furniture had been moved during repainting and had not been returned. Finally, we are currently attempting to resolve what we believe to be more than $500 in care point charges that remained after my father passed away. We have been informed that recovering those funds may require additional legal steps. I am sharing our experience so that other families can ask detailed questions about billing practices, policies, and care expectations before making decisions about long-term care for a loved one.

I met with Kayla Curtis to introduce myself and our company, and to explore how we might build a professional relationship. Kayla was very pleasant and knowledgeable in her role, and she provided me with a lot of valuable insight. I look forward to the opportunity to work together in the future.

I was pretty overwhelmed looking into assisted living options, but Kayla at Heather’s Manor made navigating everything a breeze. She was super responsive, helped me figure out what I should be asking and worked insanely fast for a quick turnaround time for my mom. She knew all the answers, had a great sense of humor and made the whole process manageable.

My 87 year old mother-in-law was welcomed wirh open arms. It’s a tough transition for independent people to accept they need a little extra help. 3 months in and she has found her tribe. She enjoys the exercise classes, having coffee in the lounge area and hanging out on the front terrace. Beautiful setting and warm-hearted community.

I Hava been helping my father with his health care. This morning he went for breakfast at 9:20, hours on weekly menu say breakfast is available 8 -9:30. He was informed that those weren't the hours. He was given breakfast in a Togo container and didn't feel welcome. I have 25 years experience in the food service industry and believe that this is the wrong way to treat a guest.

My father lived at Heathers Manor for the last 1 years of his life and had a wonderful experience there. First and foremost, the staff is amazing. Staff members at all levels are very helpful, kind, and compassionate. There are a wide range of activities to keep the residents busy and socially interactive. The Activities Staff is very supportive and will gently encourage residents to participate if they are feeling unsure about it. The food is very good at Heathers. My father was always a picky eater, but he was always very happy with the meal choices and quality of the food at Heathers. The facility itself is bright, clean, and well maintained. Selecting an assisted living facility for a loved one can be very stressful because you want everything to be perfect. Heathers Manor provided my father with a wonderful home and all of the assistance that he needed. Having Dad there also gave the rest of the family peace of mind because we knew he was comfortable and being well taken care of. I would highly recommend Heathers Manor if you are looking for assisted living for a loved one.

Great place! My parents have been there for three years and I could not have picked a better facility. The staff is very caring and they really get their residents involved in lots activities! I was very happy to see my mom flourish and be so involved in the last few years of her life. My dad is still there, and I know he's getting extra checks to make sure he's okay now that my mom is gone. That makes me feel good, knowing he is being watched over. I highly recommend Heathers Manner to anybody with a loved one!

My parents have been residents of Heathers Manor for over 2yrs and have been treated so well. The staff treat them like family and are helpful and kind. Whenever they have needed assistance from nursing, to having something fixed in their apt, it is always done promptly and with a smile. The activities staff always have something fun planned. Although it has been difficult during this pandemic, it gives me great comfort knowing they are safe and happy. I would certainly recommend Heathers Manor.

The team at Heather's Manor is amazing. The facility is beautiful and feels like a home. Each member of the staff that we've met over the last year has been friendly, helpful and genuinely cares for the residents. My Mom has been living her best life at Heathers Manor for a year, and we as a family couldn't be more happy with the care she receives. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they have kept close watch on all of the residents and update the families frequently. To date, they have not had any resident cases of COVID-19! As an essential family member, I am still able to visit my Mom. Every time I leave a visit with my Mom, I feel joy and confidence that she is cared for. Thank you Heathers Manor for all you do!

My parents moved into Heathers Manor a week before Covid-19 shut everything down. Management and staff have taken every precaution they can to keep all of our loved ones healthy and safe and have been successful. My parents comment on how caring the staff are and always checking in on them and have had great experiences with them (Winnie, Mary O., Pam, Jamo, Falilat, Joseph, Baindu, Roxanne, Emma, Edith, Bryan, Stacy, Margaret, Dora, Collin and the food servers just to name a few). When any issues have come up, they have been immediately addressed and taken care of--thanks, Kristel. Although activities are limited for now, we hope that they are able to enjoy all that Heathers Manor has to offer in the not too distant future. Hats off to all the wonderful staff for taking such good care of our loved ones under these circumstances. Keep up the good work!

I highly recommend Heathers Manor to anyone who is interested in a place for their loved one. Heathers Manor is a place where you will find peace of mind, there is a lot to do there, for example grocery shopping, going to the movies, Chanhassen dinner theater, scenic drive, Arboretum, outdoor S'mores and sing along to birthday bash, bingo, group crossword, paraffin hands, water painting, free facial/ hands and nails by Mary Kay pros and the best part of Heathers Manor is the food, they have amazing culinary chefs that prepares fresh meals 3 time per a day. My 18 years of experience is exceptional, I am very blessed to be part of the Heathers Manor team. I call Heathers Manor my second home, the staffs and residents I consider my family with 18 years of experience there. Want to know more about Heathers Manor? Please stop by for a quick tour or just to ask a few questions. I love the residents and staff , I take great pride to serve each and everyone everyday. There is no place like Heathers Manor.
