We have been here almost 2 months. I hated to leave my community, friends and house. We were just shopping for the future (maybe 2 years out). Having screened 7 other places, we felt we found our new home at VI! The sales dept. from the top down was wonderful, well informed and caring. The apt. was bigger than we had seen elsewhere and the residents made us feel very welcome. It is the property to look at last so you can feel the positive vibes in comparision. At this point, we feel we have found our forever home and with "good people" who will become good friends!

Vi at lakeside village has more amenities than any other continuing care retirement community I considered in palm beach county. I was happily surprised that vi at lakeside is spread out on over 40 well maintained acres. Vi is not just 1 building, and it is not on a noisy thoroughfare, as are many of the competitors. Vi is located in a quiet neighborhood, in Lantana, Florida, in Palm Beach County

I am familiar with many of the rehab/adult care facilities in the South Florida Boynton Beach/Boca/Del Ray area. Without question, the care at Vi at Lakeside Village is the best we've encountered. The staff is incredibly professional, wonderful and so proactive and on top of things. At all levels, everyone at Vi goes above and beyond in taking care of my parents. The management team is friendly and very organized. There is a plan for a each patient and a system and process involved and the communication with me about the health of my parents is excellent. The facility is impeccably maintained and very easy to visit. The vibe is quiet and peaceful. There are pleasant outdoor areas to sit and visit with your parents. I actually look forward to visiting them regularly. There are social activities and fun snacks regularly planned for patients and there is a really good energy about the place which is so important and conducive to healing. The food is great too and that is not a given in many places of this type (it is seriously bad in many places.) Besides the obvious health benefits of good nutrition, it just keeps everyone in a good mood. I highly recommend Vi at Lakeside. I am relieved that my parents are there because I have trust in the staff that they are safe and getting the best treatment. Five stars !

I started looking for a senior living community over a year ago for my older sister who was no longer wanting to deal with the day to day issues of home ownership. She wanted to stay near to where she had lived since 1951, but that was a problem for us because it was 3 1/2 hours away from us, and the rest of our family. We finally convinced her to at least visit the Vi at Lakeside Village and arranged a tour with her on May 28th. She was impressed with the Vi's amenities and the staff, but when they showed her an available apartment she said, "I'm looking at my new home!" She moved in the middle of June, and each night she was welcomed by other residents and invited to join them for dinner. For someone who is a widow and dined alone most nights, this was very special! She loves to read and the VI's Library is well stocked. She borrows books everyday and has recently begun to participate in some of the Fitness Center Classes. She has recently been invited to join a group who enjoy playing cards, and is looking forward to joining them soon. Of major importance, I have observed my sister really enjoying being engaged with new friends, and she is having fun!

My Mom has been there for over 20 years and loves it. Good food, good people, good activities. I think the key is that everyone goes down to the dining room for dinner, so there's lots of socialization. It keeps everybody young.

Over the years, I have read many reviews, but was never compelled to write one until now. Looking into a rehab situation for a loved one is not an easy task. It is a quick lesson in medicare insurances, surgical language, therapy treatments etc. In addition to the emotional impact this situation has on the patient and their family. I can honestly speak to our wonderful experience we had with Vi at Lakeside Living. The staff at Vi have 15+ vested years of employment. I have experienced first hand with Gloria Bruno-Carulla's kindness and friendship, Jenna Hoffmann's assistance in securing housing, and Vladimir taking the time to give my family a tour of their assisted living area and explaining all services. (Just to name a few of the dedicated employees that display a caring, comforting disposition). The wonderful nursing staff ensures all needs are met with dignity and compassion. I can truly say my family has been extremely appreciative for the care Vi at Lakeside Village continues to provide for our mother. - Michelle Audino

Mom had hip surgery and needed rehab and skilled nursing support. Medicare issues caused a delay in getting to Vi and what an improvement it was! Lovely facility. Friendly staff, excellent nurses (Sharon especially) a great doctor (Sherman) and the food was delicious too. Sadly mom had a crisis while there and everyone jumped in quickly and gave mom amazing care while we transitioned to hospice and moved her home. Thank you all for the compassion, patience and care you shared with mom and her family. You are a top notch team and we appreciate you!

The apartments are beautiful and living here is more than I could ever ask for. My mom began rehab there back in October and unfortunately this turned into her becoming a permanent resident in skilled nursing. While my life has been a nightmare since my mother fell, the one huge BLESSING has been Vi at Lakeside. The staff is attentive, caring and friendly. I have not had a single issue with anyone. Vi is consistently clean, the food is varied and fantastic and there are always fun activities. My mom is currently in the hospital and my one wish is to get her back to Vi to live out the rest of her days surrounded by people who love her! Highly recommend the Care Center and the fantastic Rehab department. And for the record ... I was not solicited to write this review as I see indicated below!

My wife I moved to the Vi about six months ago during the pandemic. We were isolated for awhile but now that things are a little relaxed, we find ourselves in a very welcoming community. From the beginning, we went to exercise classes but now we are able to join in bridge games as well. My mother moved to the Vi at Lakeside 2 1-2 years ago at the age of 91. She said it was the best decision she ever made, and as her daughter, I agree! Most important was the kindness and compassion of ALL the staff. Whenever she had a question or issue, whether a malfunctioning dishwasher, or a question about transportation, a staff person was helpful and accommodating. She found the food quite good, which is important! Prior to Covid she enjoyed the activities that were offered at the gym, playing duplicate bridge, etc. Once residents were essentially in their apartments due to Covid, staff did little things to brighten their days. As a family member, whenever I had a question, there was always someone I could call and speak with right away. When Mom was at the end of her life, they allowed my sister and I to move into her apartment to be with her. It was an extraordinary act of kindness that I will never forget. While it may not be the fanciest facility, for the things that matter most, the Vi was a 5 star experience from beginning to end. I highly recommend the facility.

I moved into Vi at Lakeside just about a year ago after doing extensive searches at many facilities for about a year. I felt most at home at VI and decided to move in and make it my new home. I thoroughly love my apartment. I have found new friends and neighbors and was immediately welcomed when I moved in right from the first day. I have been participating in activities such as yoga, book club and frequent socials a f ew times a week. I enjoy the beautiful grounds we have and frequently join friends in the courtyard or gazebo on the property. We are situated on Lake Osborne which lends itself to beautiful scenery. I am looking forward to the resumption of boat rides on the lake in the very near future. I am pleased with the food selection and presentation and enjoy having someone else prepare and serve delicious meals.both in the dining room which is about to reopen and deliivered to my apartment. The staff is exceptional in their friendliness and caring ways, always with a smile and a big hello. I am looking forward to many happy years at VI at Lakeside.

My wife and I were fortunate over 5 years ago to find Vi at Lakeside Village. we went north and south selecting this as our home. We have not been disappointed. We knew the feeling of belonging the moment we walked into the lobby. The friendships, activities, out standing caring staff, and management are the bonus. The extra care during the Pandemic is amazing, taking care of necessities, and providing unexpected treats as well! On the property is an out standing Care Center. About a year and a half a year ago I made one of the best decisions of life — the best was choosing my husband. But I was a widow in a big house that I loved but had to maintain by myself, and my community was changing by either moving or dying. I searched and found Vi at Lakeside Village, an independent living community much much like like the one I was leaving — friendly and warm, educated but not pretentious. And, it was very fairly priced vs the costs of maintaining my prior. Both the residents and the staff are wonder And, it was very all the costs of maintaining my prior home.

We moved mom into Vi at age 86 , she is now 90 and I am happy to report that this was the best decision a child can make for a parent. Mom was perfectly healthy , but as they age things happen... a heart attack , stroke and now a broken femur and Vi has been there for her 100 % .. This week when the social worker at JFK called and tried to stress me out ... I said wait and I called Jenna Hoffman at the care center. Jenna told me I did not have to do anything , everything was being taken care of .. because of Covid they made arrangements to go to her apartment and get her what she needed... They made the move to the care center a pleasure for the family as well as mom (the patient) ... big thanks to the staff and management for outstanding care of my mom and others ..

Summer 2019 The residents in Independent Living enjoy a very varied schedule and fine dining every evening. The staff is extremely attentive and 95% of the management will go the extra mile. Its very well maintained and clean. The food is terrific but residents may not bring leftovers back to their apartments. This is actually a good thing. A family member has been a resident for a few years and spent time recently in the care center following surgery. Ive been mostly impressed. The apartments are modern and housekeeping is included. The place is expensive and you need to know all the costs going in. February 15 2020 I had originally gave the Vi five stars (and in my heart they deserve it) but a recent policy prohibits residents from having family or friends join them in the dining room unless they make a reservation TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE. This an awful policy. It prohibits a resident from having their loved ones who drop by from staying for a meal. When it gets late I have to leave rather than stay. If we go out together there is paltry credit back to the residents account. A few weeks ago my brother made a last minute trip and couldnt eat in the dining room. So silly.

My mother stayed at Vi for skilled nursing care after discharge from a hospital. She'd had a heart bypass procedure. I offer a review only from my own point of view: The staff, esp. the unit clerk and RN, were very responsive and helpful. They helped arrange her MD visits and transportation, returned our calls promptly, knew what was going on with my mother and her progress, checked insurance issues diligently, and were kind and pleasant. I participated in a discharge planning meeting with lead staff members and my mother, and the meeting was productive and careful. My mother was discharged to home after nearly four weeks. Thank you, Vi.
