Jennings Terrace is a truly special community. Every experience I have had there has been positive and meaningful. The staff is intentional in everything they do, creating an environment that is warm, supportive, and compassionate for both residents and families. The residents are genuinely happy, engaged, and exceptionally well cared for. It is evident that the team takes great pride in providing quality care while fostering a welcoming and loving atmosphere. Esther and her team are wonderful to work with and consistently go above and beyond to ensure residents feel valued, respected, and at home. I have found the people that work at Jennings Terrace to really care about all residents that they care for. My mom has dementia and can be quite a handful to care for. Very agitated at times and the people that work there are so PATIENT with her. She started on the assisted living side and then moved to the nursing side. They were concerned on where she should have her new room. I also was able to bring a camera that I bought to monitor my mom. This camera was NOT to watch how she was being taken care of but to see what my mom was doing and how I could help her navigate what she is going thru. It has helped alot and I'm glad this is allowed at Jennings Terrace. I have found cleaning is on top of their list. It never smells like your typical nursing home. Talk to Ester

My mom has been here a few months. The kind heartedness of the staff here stands out. The care is excellent, and she loves it, the staff is so dedicated and so kind. They are a non profit, they are in this for the love of people and not the corporate bottom line, and that shows.

My brother moved to Jennings Terrace a year ago. He absolutely loves it there. When it was time to find a place for him to live with help he now required, we had nothing in our own area that he could afford. These places wanted all if his income. But both his work pension & SS didn't cover their fees. Jennings wondetful staff helps him with his medications, all meals are included, they clean his room and wash his clothes. He is completely content there and I know he's safe there so I've peace of mind.

My dad has been at Jennings Terrace for over 12 years both on the nursing and sheltered side. He has had wonderful care and knows the staff and residents all by name. I am so thankful that he has a place to be with three meals a day, laundry service, house cleaning, activities and friendships. He is partially blind so he cannot drive anymore and I know when he is there he is safe and gets any help he needs. Jenny Latham

My father in law moved in here and absolutely loved it! Great food served, they did his laundry and cleaned his room! The staff all treated him like he was truly family! He made friends, partook of many activities, attended church there too. Highly affordable place, Christian run and not for profit with both assisted living and full nursing care with nurses available on both sides. Don’t miss this gem, check it out for sure. He just passed away but we’re blessed as was he for everyone there.

My family and I are very pleased with the care our father/grandpa receives at Jennings Terrace. Although, Jennings is not the newest or most extravagant, the employees take pride in making it a comfortable, and happy home for it's residents.

My father spent his last months at Jennings Terrace. From his first days there I knew he was in good hands. It was easy to see that the staff truly cared about their residents. I recall a conversation with the physical therapist who expressed some frustration on getting Dad out of his room. I said something like "if you can find a couple of bridge players, he'll com out for that!". I think he searched from one end of the building to the other and a week later Dad was out of his room playing his favorite card game. That is going above and beyond. When Dad's health started to fail, his nurse called me directly and shared her concerns. Her care was genuine and personal. Years later when Mom needed more care there was no question of where to go. The care and compassion was as amazing as I remembered. I remember her nurse wrapping his arms around me to offer some comfort when mom passed. The people at Jennings Terrace are kind, compassionate, and genuine. I highly recommend them.

When we were looking for NH placement for our parents, it was very stressful because we just wanted to make sure they would be well cared for. The staff at Jennings has been absolutely wonderful both the nursing staff as well as administrative staff. They are all very willing to help and some of the nurses I know more than others but they always encourage me to call if I have any questions. We sadly lost our mom a couple of years ago due to an illness she had been battling for many years but my dad is still there and we honestly couldn't ask for a better group of people to care for him. I work in healthcare so I was very picky in choosing a NH. It's not a fancy place but it is very well cared for and the staff does everything they can to give the residents a good experience. In my experience, I honestly am more skeptical of the facilities that have extravagantly decorated entryways because I feel that they put a larger focus and money towards that and less towards residents. The staff at Jennings ALWAYS puts the residents first. I love that it is a smaller facility where everyone knows my dad and he's not just a room number but a person. They have so many activities and events that they encourage family to attend. You can honestly tell they truly do care.

During the last 2 years, I have two loved ones who live at Jennings Terrace. I am so happy that my loved ones live there. Everyone has been amazing and caring. It is so important to see the friendly and personal care and concern with which the Jennings staff relate. I get into a lot of care facilities. I have seen many places with high-class professional decorating and very low levels of love and compassion. Most facilities have been bought out by investment businesses. The focus is on their profit. At Jennings, the residents are Number One!

A huge thank you to the staff at Jennings Terrace. My 99 year old mom recently moved into the sheltered care there. The staff are incredibly kind, knowledgeable and sensitive to residents and their families. It isn't as fancy as some of the more expensive places but it is the real deal! I got such a hard sell at some of the other facilities we looked at that I started to get really put off by it. Jennings' staff are true professionals and they are there for the residents in a sincere way. We decorated my mom's room with her and she loves it. Bobby the maintenance person hung a beautiful light for my mom and got everything hooked up that she needed. The laundry lady, Char, (I will call her the Laundress:) does a beautiful job with my mom's clothing. It is a wonderful feeling to know she is there surrounded by such competent and kind people. Thank you to the staff and Esther for helping us during this time of transition with my mom.

My mom lived in the Sheltered/assisted living side of Jennings Terrace for 2 years from January 2019-December 2020 and on the skilled nursing side for 3.5 years from January 2021 to the present. She has received excellent care from management to all departments: nurses; CNA's; food service; housekeeping; maintenance; laundry; activities; physical therapy, etc. Everyone has been competent, friendly, well-trained, open to suggestions, and willing to answer any and all questions. I am in the building twice a week with no set schedule showing up unannounced and everything is always under control. From my viewpoint all residents are treated with compassion, respect, and kindness. Looking forward to celebrating my mom's 100th birthday on site in July.

When I needed to find a place for our 89 year old mother, I looked throughout the area for nursing homes and when I found Jennings Terrace and knew right away I found what I was looking to find. While the facility is on the older side, there's nothing but positives; it's the people at Jennings Terrace that stood out. We were always greeted with smiles from staff and residents alike and while my mother was only there for less than two months before passing, the staff treated her with love, compassion dignity. If you're looking for a place for a loved one, I would truly recommend the wonderful folks at Jennings Terrace.

Jennings Terrace is not just a place to live, it is a family. My uncle was a resident here. He loved his friends and family here. Everyone was so kind to him. He loved the activities, the food, the staff, the residents, the outings, etc. Not only did he become a family with them, they embraced his brothers and my family too. Since his passing, they have kept in touch with us and invite us to events. They may not have all the frills like some places, but they have big hearts and lots of care and love for their residents.

I'm here to express my experience of Jennings Terrace, whom my Mom was a resident there. she was in sheltered living. she loved her neighborhood and the care her staff gave her. she even had her own chef, every one was wonderful. i tell people it's not the fancy that matters its the people who care . and the love they give them. i myself when i need a hand up this would be my home. a big thumbs up to Jennings Terrace!

through out the pandemic we have been taken care of nicely. we have been eating in our rooms and social distancing has been hard. since we have ALL been tested we ALL came up negative! not very many places can attest to that!!! we are just starting to have socially distant activites. families can now make an appointment to see your loved ones. my grandemother and my mom were here also. i think that we have been blessed to be here throigh this very difficult time. houusekeeping a the dietary staff have stuck with us the whole pandemic!!! thank you

I am currently living at Jennings terrace. All of the staff that I have contact with are very caring. Since I was a food service person, I enjoy the food.Plenty of activitied. For those who are unaware it's a pretty nice place to live.

Needs air conditioner really hot in the whole building. Great staff very professional! Get the sia fixed already Mother in Law stays here and very hot during the summers.
