Mom has been here for seven months. So clean, good care. Staff is very nice. Jamir at the front desk is the best. He is a pure delight as you enter the lobby. He always greets you with a smile. The new executive operations mgr, Selena, has really gone out of her way if we need anything. Always greets mom and me with a hug and smile. Highly recommend this facility if you can do self pay.

I’ve visited this facility many times. When Jermir is at the front desk, he lights up the place with his smile, helpfulness and upbeat attitude. I first met him when he was doing karaoke & trivia with the residents. He was engaging, funny, kind and showed his concern for the residents. Keep him around, improve the food and the place will be heading in the right direction.

We went for a tour and had a wonderful luncheon there. Everyone was very friendly and the place is very clean. Melissa went above and beyond from the very beginning. She answers all your questions even after she has worked all day she keeps you up to date. A wonderful transition for my mother in law to come and stay. Highly recommend to anyone who was looking for help with family members transition for Senior Living to seek Melissa's guidance she will provide you with all the information you need. I wanted to post an edit to my initial review two tears ago. Since there has been a change over in administrations, we have noticed a difference. While everyone is pleasant when you visit, it is difficult to get a response back when you call and leave messages. Even after numerous attempts, no response, it can be very frustrating. While they do provide care, involvement with family members is a priority that most of us value.

My uncle Lonnie is currently a resident here after having a stroke. I am so happy with our choice to have him come to Chestnut Ridge Wallingford. He is doing well, happy and being well taken care of. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone who needs the extra care but also wants to feel like they are home.

My Uncle Lonnie is at the Chestnut Ridge facility. The staff there is taking great care of him. His health has improved since he has been there and is improving every day. I don't usually write reviews but I feel Chestnut Ridge deserves the recognition. My mother in law has lived there for the past two years and has just moved to the memory care unit. From day one, all employees have been so helpful and kind and genuinely care for the residents. The administrative staff is stellar, always accommodating and providing updates on your loved ones' progress. We are very grateful to Chestnut Ridge and feel they are just as good, if not better, than the larger, more pricey assisted living facilities. Thank you Andrea and team!!!!!

I visited Chestnut Ridge with my Uncle. It was nice and clean! All of the staff, especially Melissa was pleasant and welcoming. There were activities going on when we visited, the dining area was setup like a restaurant with plenty of choices for the residents to choose from and the studio apartments were spacious . My Uncle decided to go with independent living but if he ever needs assisted living care this location is #1 on our list!

My dad, 75 is a new resident (December 2022). I moved him here because he was in a smaller facility and was lonely from the lack of activities/residents. So far, the team here has been great. I appreciate how quick the Wellness Director Gail responds to my emails and makes adjustments for my dad's care. Melissa Donovan has been great as well. There are many residents and activities for the residents. So far, my dad is happy, participates in a lot of the activities and enjoys the food. I appreciate the responsiveness of the team. Would recommend so far.

My father was a resident of Chestnut Ridge for almost a year, and loved living there. His room was spacious and he was very comfortable. The socialization and activities he was able to be part of were a game-changer for his emotional, physical, and mental health. My cousin is a new resident at Chestnut Ridge. Through the entire process Melissa Donovan in sales did extensive hand-holding and always made me feel genuinely and efficiently supported by her willingness to help wherever she could. If she is the kind of person we will find at Chestnut Ridge I feel my cousin is in good hands. It’s a beautiful facility; people saying hi to each other and gathering in community spaces. Every person I’ve encountered has been kind and helpful. The reaction of residents to caregivers shows there is respect and kindness.

My Dad is on the memory care floor. Meals served to the memory care residents are not the same as the meals served to the personal care residents. Memory care pays so much more money to live there and their meals and amenities are so much less. The caregivers are great.

Your place is beautiful when you walk into the door. It does not have that smell as most places do. Prepare for tirius set up like a restaurant with a menu. And the Room door shut up like Apartments . The management lacks a follow through with anything they start. And the doctors you have to Chase her days to get anything done. And they are not the service dog friendly. Although they all the staffs dogs to run around at will

I am a resident in the Independent area of Chestnut Ridge (since June 2018) & am extremely happy with my decision to move here. I have been impressed with the quality of care & concern shown by the staff, who are very approachable & concerned with everyone's well-being. The building is always clean & neat & nicely decorated at each holiday. There are activities available, if you are inclined; and transportation is easily obtained if you need to go to a doctor appointment or shopping, Meals are available in a cozy dining room. I made a wise & happy decision to make Chestnut Ridge my new home.

I visited a friend several times at this place before she passed away last year. It was a good experience every time I came. The atmosphere was pleasant & inviting. Coffee & tea was always complimentary. My friend invited me to have lunch with her in the quaint dinning area.....the friendly workers waited on us just like we were at a fancy hotel restaurant. Activities for the residents were always going on whenever I visited. The rooms were very tidy & clean with no strange smells comming out into the halls. The staff was always available to answer any of her questions or concerns. The last time I visited they were doing new renovations. I would recommend this place to my family & friends.
