My mom has been a resident at SummerHouse Ashton Manor since August 2024; she resides in the memory care center. When the time came that my mom needed a higher level of care, I prayed for the best care for my mom. I believe I was praying for SummerHouse Ashton Manor. I believe this place was a God Send! I've visited my mom at different times on different days, and I've always been pleased with the care my mom, and from what I have seen, all of the residents receive at this facility. My experiences have all been positive. The staff are professional and friendly; they're led by Ms. Lisa Wilson, Director. Ms. Wilson's professionalism, communication skills, and transparency convinced me this was the best place for my mom. After 9 months, I can with 100% certainty say the staff are committed, respectful and they geniunely care about the residents; you can see it and you can feel it. I have the utmost respect and appreciation for Ms. Wilson's leadership and the staff; they make it look like fun. I sleep well at night knowing my mom is being well cared for at SummerHouse Ashton Manor, specifically the memory care unit.

Smells good and the individual people who take care of the seniors are excellent if they are there. On October20th, 2024, my father passed away there. I asked a lady that was washing dishes where attendants or a nurse were. She stated that the nurse quit, but she would go and find someone. After about 10 minutes had gone by she finally found what looked like a CNA who was in one of the other wings. You see, management had allowed my sister-in-law to leave me off as the next of kin. I’m am my father’s only daughter. I asked the lady locked behind the locked door to include me in the next of kin. She took a sticky note and wrote down my name and phone number, but I was never called when my father was in distress. On the day my father passed away, my husband and I took my father out as we did weekly to eat dinner. He started choking but me not being a nurse, thought something had gone down the wrong way. I looked for a nurse and that’s when the CNA showed up. I asked her to please check on him, but I will assume that that she did not. There was no one else on a Sunday in the entire $10,000 a month home. I called my dad at 4:15 and no one answered. Later that night, my brother texted my husband to tell him my dad passed. No one from the nursing home called me. Terrible place for the price.

Recently visited this beautiful community and loved the feel of this place. Very homelike. In the past, I visited my college roommate’s Mother at this community several years ago. She was in Memory Care in a lovely apartment. The staff was welcoming and so caring with all of the residents we saw. It was clean, and everyone looked well kept and cared for. Her Mom has since passed away, but since then, I have come to know someone personally on their leadership team and have engaged with their staff and I feel like it’s still a great place for seniors. I would definitely recommend.

My mother in law has been at Ashton for 4 years. The love and care she receives is unmatched. Everyone treats her like family, giving her all the attention, care and love required. The size of the facility is perfect and intimated allowing for the family feel.

There is a relationship developed with each person in this memory unit. Care is taken to allow family participation and encourage family interactions. Everyone is safe and the facility is clean and friendly. Our family is pleased with the care our Mother is receiving. I had been taking care of my mother’s needs for over 10 years. When it got to be too much to handle, my siblings and I decided to move Mom to Ashton. The care and attention she got was excellent. Everyone there excellent and some more. Moving Mom there was the best decision I’ve made in her entire healthcare history. I can’t recommend it any higher.
