In an amazing environment where seniors are able to flourish - I am proud to be an employee of Heritage Woods. I would recommend our building to anyone who is looking for value based employment or quality Assisted/Supportive Living for their loved one. What is Supportive Living? ?"Illinois developed the Supportive Living Program (SLP) as an alternative to nursing home care for low-income older persons and persons with physical disabilities under Medicaid. By offering personal care and other services, residents can live independently and take part in decision-making. Personal choice, dignity, privacy, and individuality are emphasized. The Department of Healthcare and Family Services has obtained a "waiver" to allow payment for services that are not routinely covered by Medicaid. These include personal care, homemaking, laundry, medication assistance, social and health activities, recreation, and 24-hour staff to meet residents' scheduled and unscheduled needs. The resident is responsible for paying the cost of room and board at the facility."

My mom was nervous about moving out of her house, it took a little convincing, but we are so glad we did. The staff and residents were so welcoming! After we got her settled in she's even got her spark back. I can't say enough of how grateful we are to have her in a place that feels like home.

I live at Heritage Woods and have for over 2 years. Even though I am only going on 79... LOL... I had lived in a 3 story condo in Sycamore for 18 years. I had just become too much for me to take care of. My daughters came here and looked at this place and then brought me. To tell you the truth, I can't think of anywhere else I would like to be. I have a beautiful apartment with a bedroom. The staff here are very caring and will help you out as much as you need. We have lots of activities and trips in our HW bus. The food is wonderful.

Mom (Cora Duval) has called Heritage Woods home since 2010. We are so thankful for the care she's given by EVERYONE! It's comforting to our family that so many are looking out for her.
