I looked at many places for my Mom and I decided on Juniper Monroeville. They made the transition flawless and made her welcome from the start. She was medically complex and they met all of her needs with a smile. She made friends and loved each person that cared for her. Her main two aides James and Dwayne made sure she was happy and safe at all times. She was very active and social there with the other residents and staff. The kitchen and dinning room staff (Devon) always wanted to accommodate her diet in every way. This was the first time in years I could have a great night sleep, knowing she was in the best hands. My only regret is not getting her there earlier.

My mom has been in Memory Care for a little over a year and is doing quite well. I would like to call attention to the special care she receives from Tammy, Keisha, Audra and Anthony. They are very kind and always try their best to make sure she feels comfortable. The interim director, Mary Ann has been working hard to make general over all improvements to the facility and lastly McKenzie has made welcome additions to the memory care activities. I know they all have difficult jobs and I feel they should be recognized for going above and beyond, not just for my mom, but for other patients as well.

Juniper had a luau for residents and families this week that was so much fun that our elder couldn’t wait to tell us about it. She reported that it was planned to the smallest detail. All residents were encouraged to attend and many staff members whole-heartedly participated. Thank you for such an amazing party!!!

I've recently placed my mother here. I looked at several facilities. I found the memory care unit to be well thought out, engaging the residents in activities (not the usual endless puzzle building) and some very nuanced touches like a circular layout (all roads lead to home) and unique and brightly colored doors to help residents find their rooms. She doesn't need this yet, but I like to plan for the eventuality. In the meantime, she has a lovely suite. The staff is attentive, pleasant, polite and patient. I know most of the staff by name, and conversely, the staff all seem to know the residents by name. My very first contact was with the Director of Sales and Marketing. (I'm leaving names out of this for privacy purposes) You wouldn't know that was her job ” she was so very involved and keeps in touch. (I had to look her title up when writing this up for proper identification). I said to her midway through our conversation "I can tell you really like your job." It was very evident. I've seen her there since at all hours, presumably to accommodate the schedules of interested families. All of these places are expensive. However, Juniper Village is comparably priced. When you are shopping around, don't forget the all-inclusive incidentals which many places treat in la carte fashion (e.g. med management, meals, etc.). And speaking of meals, the food is made freshly everyday from scratch with several options from which to choose. In short, I am very impressed. If you are in need of such care for a loved one, do yourself a favor and schedule a visit.

Our mother has been at Juniper for about a month. Like most older people, our mother didn't want to leave her home. Everyone we have met has been very nice and welcoming. The nursing staff, activities staff and food service staff are very nice to work with. Our mother had a short stay in hospital and was telling people in the hospital, how nice Juniper Village is and the staff is nice.

Mom has been at Juniper Village for almost a year now and she is happier than I have seen her in years! The care that she receives and the communication from the Wellness Team is outstanding. Every time I go in to visit Mom she is either in the middle of an activity or she is telling me about how much fun she had with her most recent activity.

We placed my Mother in Juniper Village right before they purchased and took over the facility 3+ years ago. Until 2024 we were very happy with the care given, the staff and the facility. After a large turn over of personnel we noticed the care and condition of her room slowly declined. When needed, it became hard to find any staff in the area. The last few months of 2024 we started to find her left in bed as late as 11am and soiled. Any time I tried to call the director I was told I had to leave a message with the receptionist and she would have her call me back. I asked for her voicemail or email and was told the receptionist served those functions. Needless to say, I never got a call back from the director. We finally were fortunate enough to be eligible for hospice and they improved the appearance of my Mom and her room over night. Sadly they only came on a part time basis. We were able to meet with the new wellness director and staff nurse about our concerns and they were very responsive and began training and accountability. I had asked that the facility director be a part of that meeting but never happened either. Long story short, my mother contracted the norovirus and aspirated while laying bed and developed double pnuemonia and lost her battle to recover in December 2024. When I tried to get a 12 month printout of her billing to use for taxe purposes and for closing her estate I got the same road block at the receptionist to talk to the billing department. I never did get the printout. I'm not sure why they feel the need to restrict families contact to key people through phone or even email. What started as a love affair with Juniper turned into a real disappointment.

I had a family member living in Wellsprings at Juniper Village Monroeville. The entire staff, from housekeeping to to administration , were nothing but kindly patient and accommodating. I will highly recommend Juniper Monroeville to anybody needing a home for loved ones.

This may be a longer review but hopefully worth the read. Our mother had reached a point in life when assisted living was necessary. She was VERY reluctant to go. Well it took about 2.5 weeks and she didnt want to leave. The place is clean and well maintained.The food is made fresh and is good. If our mom doesnt like what is on the menu, the kitchen staff will make her something else. She gets dessert after lunch and dinner. Special mention to the executive chef, she makes sure each resident is happy and well fed. In our opinion, the staff makes the place top notch. From the director, the management staff, receptionist, nurses. med techs, aides, maintenance or food serviceeveryone is polite and friendly to the residents. They know everyone by name. and they take good care of our mom. She wears a pendant so she can ask for help when needed. Juniper is expensive. The base price can increase depending on the level of care but we sleep better at night knowing she is at Juniper.

We have lived here for over a year ago. This place has been just what we were looking for, active, engaging, positive, friendly, caring. Staff is like none other and the administrator is 10 star plus. It is really sad the previous review. We knew her father and there is absolutely no truth to a thing she said and no family was ever around that we ever saw. All you have to do is visit here and you will see it is one of the best around

Recently, I delivered food to the community. being a door dash employee i’ve been to many communities which normally I pay no mind too but this experience was different. I was taken back my the charisma of this big house, it was like driving up to a mansion! The front porch was filled with elderly residents whom all seemed very alert, content and happy unlike some communities i’ve been too. I have never gave much thought to needing a retirement community but if i had would ever have to choose or recommend one one juniper at monroeville with no doubt would be at the top of my list.

My step father had been in multiple hospital, skilled nursing facilities and personal care homes throughout the years of his illness. I was beginning to think they were all the same until he found his final resting place at juniper. the community is clean and odor free. the environmental service director makes sure the repairs are completed in a timely manner. The food is beyond the expectation. Vana and her team make the best soups and desserts and let me tell you her appetizers for special occasions are simply amazing!! The servers although many of them are in their teens are always so kind and professional. Most importantly the wellness team even through the difficult staffing eras they have been able to provide adequate and consistent staff which made Dad’s adjustment much easier. Stacy and Kelly the DOW and MC are always available to help me with any medical concerns and difficulties decisions they both are very in tune with my fathers health care needs. I can rest easy knowing he is in good care !! I would highly recommend juniper at Monroeville if you are looking for placement of your loved one!!!

Working for a moving company, we have to deal with a lot of different aspects of the job, especially retirement homes. Accommodation is key because we want to get in and out as quickly as we can, and that everyone is friendly. Juniper was just that. We got the assistance we requested and more. Lisa and Colleen Peluso are awesome at their occupation, especially! Bring your older people here!

When my 97 year old mother broke her femur,her family had to find an assisted living facility very quickly. One facility changed their mind about admitting her the day before her move. We contacted Juniper Village at Monroeville and they immediately made arrangements for mom to be admitted. We did not realize that this was a transition time for Juniper since all went smoothly. Her belongings were unpacked, pictures hung, and she was settled in. Sadly there were issues with her roommate and mom was quickly transferred to another room, belongings, pictures and all. We realize there are other issues that may come up and hope mom's care continues to improve and make her happy.
