I can't say enough wonderful things about The Village at Brookfield Common. All of the staff are so welcoming and helpful. The activities are great, with so many options, including several live musical performances. They also offer wonderful day trips, such as outings to the bowling alley and Kent Falls. The friends my mother has made here are so kind and caring. Knowing that my mother is happy, engaged, and surrounded by such a supportive community gives our family tremendous peace of mind.

We moved my parents to The Village at Brookfield Common a few weeks ago from Long Island, and they are settling in nicely and enjoying their new home. The staff has been exceptionally helpful and kind, which has made the transition much easier for them. They’ve started making friends through games of Rummikub and by attending the many daily social events offered at Brookfield Common. Overall, it has been a very positive experience for them.

We toured Brookfield Commons with Jonathan Rivera, and he and his staff were warm and welcoming. On the day of our tour, residents were socializing, relaxing in common areas with a cup of coffee, listening to music. It’s clear they truly feel at home there. The staff took extra time to answer our questions, and Jonathan was kind, and attentive to our mother’s needs. It is a pleasure to meet people who truly love what they do, and we highly recommend Brookfield Commons.

The community is quite excellent to visit for one’s elderly parents. One can witness the ongoing care and strong bond between residents and staff/administration. The community provides a rich activities schedule along with common meeting areas. It is definitely worth a visit and serious consideration.

After having a stroke, we needed to find a facility that could accommodate my cousin’s needs. After receiving a recommendation from A Place for Mom, I contacted The Village at Brookfield Common and worked with Jonathan to secure a place for him. Jonathan was outstanding and worked with me to get everything set for him to move there. Jonathan went above and beyond expectations, making himself available and responding to every request. The transition was easy and my cousin is adjusting nicely. He is taking advantage of the many activities at The Village and I am glad to be able to keep up with them on Facebook. Thank you Jonathan and The Village at Brookfield Common for being there at a difficult time for our family.

There are no words for the level of care and compassion that this place offers.. I am very grateful for all , who made this possible for my loved one. I worked with Jonathan, and at the beginning spoke to Robin, who was absolutely fantastic! Jonathan was spectacular and went above and beyond to meet the needs of my sister, and took a lot of stress , and frustration away from navigating this life changing event.I researched many before choosing this location, and I just felt that there was something special about this place.. the energy is very positive!

We recently moved my aunt in to this facility. Our point of contact, Jonathan, was wonderful and always answered any questions or concerns we had. The facility itself is beautiful as well. After meeting with my aunt's care team, I can tell that she will be well cared for. I also loved how the staff knows the names of all of the residents and can connect with each one about something meaningful to them. This is my first experience with an assisted living facility, but I am very happy with what I've seen so far.

I’m incredibly frustrated with their lack of communication for our loved one. It is a beautiful facility but if you are looking for staff to respond in a timely manner, forget it! I would highly recommend looking somewhere else.

The residents there are safe, but with the high costs and quality of food that is poor the residents need at least and pay high enough prices for something better, much better. The nurses and aides are great, and since under staffed, wait time is sometimes long for assistance. It’s possibly due to the results of covid and businesses are understaffed overall, and possibly it is not.

My mother has lived at the Village at Brookfield Commons for 14 years! She enjoyed her years while in assisted living. The programs and staff were excellent. She was recently transferred to the Harbor memory care unit. Her care givers are compassionate wonderful people. Thank you Rosa, Tonya, Vanni, Adrianna & Praveen. You are the best!!

Beautiful facility. Staff is extremely friendly, compassionate and accommodating. My father went kicking and screaming and now considers this his home and staff family. Also being in healthcare, I’ve seen several facilities and I would highly recommend this particular one.

I've been with this community for a little over a year now, and I am continually impressed with the teamwork and true caring that is provided by the staff. I have not regretted my decision to come here for a moment!

I was a temporary resident at this facility for just under four months last year. There are good and bad things about this place: the aides work incredibly hard to help residents and they do a pretty good job although the facility is understaffed to the point where the aides sometimes have to rush and that’s a shame. The food is not that great overall but they did make a good hamburger while I was there! As I became stronger and my tastebuds came back to life the food just tasted worse and worse. I agree with people who say that Benchmark, the company that operates this place, is quite concerned with money and filling rooms. On the other hand, they did make excellent arrangements for me to receive physical therapy while I was there and that helped me a lot. The rooms are a bit small but I’m told that the size of the rooms is typical for assisted living. The aides do make sure residents take their medicines and they do safety checks overnight to make sure residents are resting comfortably and safely. Not the best place to be (it’s not home and it’s essentially a fancy looking institution) but if you or a loved one needs these services it might be a possibility.

My friend, who is 89, sold her house and moved in to the Village to be closer to her family. It has been wonderful for all. My friend has her privacy, but there are people available, if needed. The facilities are nice, there are many activities for the residents, the food is very good, and my friend can be more sociable. This is a nice situation

If you want a nice place to live with assistance with food, laundry and entertainment this might work for you. If you need daily help with medical attention, hygiene, personal assistance then this facility might not be a good option. The sales and intake procedures appear to be focused on filling rooms. Communication between residents and family needs lots of work. When made aware of repeated mistakes and lack of service apologies are given, not improvement. I wonder why the staff has high turnover and upper management changes seems to be common also? Effort is only average and do not relate with the costs paid. The sales pitch is very strong, once there be prepared for rate increases and extra services required based on poor evaluations. I got the feeling they were in constant protection mode when you ask questions. Not happy with what was provided.
