Me and my wife Betty moved into Paulin Creek about a year ago. We looked at a lot of other places but Paulin Creek stood out to us. Since then we’ve been very happy here. The food is good and the staff is even better. If you have something break in your apartment, the maintenance staff is there right away!

We moved our Mom into Brookdale after she fell and broke her hip. We looked at many other options and felt Brookdale Paulin Creek was the right fit for her. We had an excellent experience touring the facility, and the staff made move in stress free. Everyone I've experienced is very kind and responsive, and Mom is well cared for and enjoying lots of social time with other residents. She loves the food in dining room. Thanks for the great care!

While the facility is nice and the residents are friendly, the things that we were told would occur when my father moved in did not. I realize there was a health concern at the time, but we had hoped someone would reach out to welcome him and support him once that ended. He's been the over a month and had never been down around, introduced to anyone, invited to join anything, and still had no name tag on his door or his veteran photos on the wall. I just wish he had been welcomed into the community like we were promised.

I've been here 6 months for a winter respite from Michigan The staff is courteous, respectful. The facility is spacious. Nicely decorated My complaints : 1) it's not disabled friendly. . I use a Walker and electric wheel chair. Most doors to outside are extremely hard to open. I feel at risk of falling with parking lot doors due to difficulty of use. Wheres the ADA thought They need auto doors to nonsecure areas 2)the gym is almost nothing. A bike, weights, a walking machine and a psuedo nu step. My generation values fitness. I'm 71 years old 3) food is poor, especially since covid. Again, wheres the healthy thought. Fried chicken is bad for anyone. I've spoken 4 times with kitchen chefs about better quality. Next winter I'll look elsewhere for my respite from winter

My mother has lived here 8 years, 7 in active and 1 in assisted living. It hasn't been all roses. It's very expensive and they keep dinging the residents more and more. They used to deliver a package to your room. Now you have to pay for it. Cost of meals for guests is up to $18 per person now. Food portions have gotten smaller, and food is not very good. Furthermore they raise the rent 4-7% every year (I was told this by the assistant director). This year her rent was raised $449 a month! Imagine that on a fixed income. Maintenance is not responsive, takes forever to attend to needs, or ignores requests. When my mom moved here, I don't think it was call Brookdale Paulin Creek, but The Lodge at Paulin Creek. Something has changed. I suspect that big, cold corporate has moved in. You can feel the for profit business model everywhere, especially in the attitude of administration when things need to be addressed. To be fair, the caregivers in assisted living are wonderful, and that is the saving grace for us. But it's very expensive and Mom will be priced out with the huge YEARLY raises in the rent. If we could do it over again we wouldn't have moved my mother here. See YELP for other reviews.

Poor neighborhood for grandma. People keep breaking into resident vehicles and sleeping in them. Facility care is adequate but minimal. Pretty expensive for food that's worse than military issue. The Employees seem to care about the residence though and grandma has made friends.

My mom stayed here for her last year and it was fantastic. Smelt wonderfully clean, great employees and delicious food. I tried to get her up and moving to the hair salon, putting green and TV room. Its just a warm nice place...very UNLIKE. the residential care homes she was in. Everyone parks their carts or walkers in a little row just outside dining room door. (Like a parking lot..all in a line) I thought it was fantastic for her..and us four children and the grandkids, too.
