I am so impressed with this property. I was recently introduced to this community and found the sales team so knowledgeable. It's such a big decision to make. Moving is not what seniors want to do, so if we move, it better be worth it! Evergreen is definitely worth the move. The entire workforce is so nice, always greets you with a smile, and willing to help at the drop of a hat. The food is so delicious. Chef Michael and Kat are just incredible. It's a move worth making. When in doubt, go visit the community. I can't wait to call this HOME!

The Evergreen Travel Club just returned from a 2-night stay at French Lick resort in Indiana. Despite the heat, the trip was fun and the company- both staff and resident travelers were congenial. Against our wishes we learned a lot of the history behind the historical French Lick and it’s sister property West Baden Springs Hotel. There was not enough time to take advantage of all of the activities offered. Are all Evergreen residents this easy to travel with?I’m glad I’m part of the Travel. Club

My mom & dad are newer to the Evergreen Community, but the sales, move in, welcome process have been OUTSTANDING. We've found the team to be incredibly solution-oriented. I was sure the "new place" wouldn't feel like home, but I WAS WRONG! Mom is so comfortable and thrilled to not deal with stairs multiple times a day. We have observed an increase in her energy and interests. Every time I pull down the lovely entrance driveway, I am grateful for my mom & dad to enjoy these years.

Elevator has been down for a couple of months and the elderly have to walk far distances to get to another elevator or walk downstairs which causes stress for them either way. Laundry appliances are out dated and only a few are in good working condition causing residents to have to go to other floors ( which are far away) to wash clothes these are just a couple of things there’s more not to mention that the price of rent is ridiculously high!!!!

Evergreen is one of the most beautiful senior living communities I’ve had the pleasure to visit - the outdoor space alone is breathtaking. The inside is part modern/part vintage. My sister moved into one of Evergreen’s Assisted Living apartments three weeks ago, and we couldn’t be more grateful. The nursing staff”Sadie, Mary, and Renee”have been exceptional in their care, communication, and compassion. Michelle, one of the aides, is incredibly patient, efficient, and kind in the daily support she provides. I toured nine different communities before choosing Evergreen. It was our last”and by far the best”visit. The staff was knowledgeable, transparent, and welcoming. The property is beautiful inside and out, and every person we encountered greeted us with a smile. What truly stands out is that the same warmth and kindness we felt on the first day continues every time I visit. Attended a grand reopening event at Evergreen Retirement Community. They had completed a remodel. The grounds and facilities are lovely, and have the feel of a home atmosphere. There are many cozy spaces in which to gather. We toured an apartment, which was very nice. Their activity schedule was full, and included outings. They also have special events such as wine and bourbon tastings. The food for the grand reopening was amazing, with appetizers in various places. Seafood and steak were served, along with spirits. The staff was very welcoming.

My mom lives there. Today my children spent the day with their grandmother.I didn’t pack them snacks. My daughter called me hangry fighting with my mother. I called evergreen to see if they had a vending machine. I spoke with Brandon on the phone. And he transferred me to someone in the food service department and I left a message. A half hour later my daughter called me to thank me for the food. Brandon took the initiative and arranged for hot and tasty chicken tenders and fries to be delivered to my mom’s room. The generational war between my kiddos and their grandmother mother was avoided. Excellent service. This is by far the best least depressing senior living facility I have come across. We come and visit several times a week and it’s really pleasant. Other facilities I had to force myself to visit.

Evergreen has exceeded our expectations in every way. We were concerned about my grandpa's resistance to move, especially with some cognitive decline, but he is happier than he has been in a long time. Every staff member seems to go above and beyond to ensure he is taken care of properly and is safe. Along with other residents who seem to need assistance, they escort him down to meals when needed and encourage him to participate in the wide variety of activities available. We love going on walks with him throughout the beautiful grounds, and all of the residents have been very friendly and inviting. He was missing that social aspect while living at home by himself, and having the opportunity to interact on a daily basis with peers and staff members has really seemed to improve his quality of life. We are truly grateful to have found such a wonderful assisted living community for him.

Add to this: 4/25/24: My mom has now moved to assisted living and the air conditioning in assisted living has been totally not working at all / completely broken for several weeks now! My poor mom is suffering. How is this okay? The perks they tell you about prior to joining or not what you receive. They have a pool that is closed. They have guest quarters for visitors that are also closed. We were told that with 24 hours notice my mother could get taken to appointments. Always giving more than 24 hours notice- every time she called the front desk they told her that it would not be possible. So she gave up. Recently Evergreen provided bus at 8:30 AM for grocery shopping. The bus driver pulled up to a stopping area full of ice and sludge. My mom told the driver that she needed the platform step that he had lowered for her to be able to get off. He told her that he had parked at a curve, and that there wouldn’t be space for him to put it down. He did not even help her get off the bus. He was in the back of the bus as the elders were getting off. She had a bad fall leading to a injured tail bone, knee, and a hematoma that is causing her pain to walk. Chelsea visited her and explained that this is a really good driver who has been driving for a long time that she did not help my mom’s situation. The driver did not even pick her up when she fell. One of the elderly men helped her to get up. There is a sign outside Evergreen that says that anyone who applies can be hired immediately. That makes it clear that Evergreen is not paying enough to keep decent staff, and that they are severely shortly staffed. It has been one let down after another at Evergreen.

having never experienced a elderly parent having to be placed in a safe new home I was scared to death. I looked all over from facility to facility and then I got to the Evergreen facility I still was apprehensive, the facility is amazing so beautiful i have to say it was well thought out for a person entering the final stages of life, then I went up to the legacy. I met a very beautiful person who made me feel comfortable answered every question I had and I did question her many times she was Johnny on the spot answered me right away I knew I had made the right choice when I met Lorine Jones truly she is the heart of the legacy God placed her right where she needed to be only a strong woman could ever imagine too do her job and be as successful. I am ever grateful now I can sleep at night knowing my mother is safe and well cared for now. I thank God for you all, I don't know what I've done without you and a special thanks to Lorine she was the very reason i chose Evergreen she is amazing ’•

My mother loves her unit. It is beautiful, cozy, and feels like home. However, the dining experience has been terribly disappointing this year and we have not felt satisfied with the cost-value ratio. It is over priced for what she gets. Her air conditioning stopped working in July and it took them two months to fix it. She became so overwhelmed by the heat in August that she fell. They discovered she was dehydrated and had a UTI when she got to the emergency room. It took an additional three weeks after that fall before they finally replaced the air conditioning. The food is dreadful and boring. The dinner service is slow. Sometimes my mother is there for an hour and a half before eating. There are not enough activities and the ones they have are not that interesting. For the money they charge there should be many more musical events and hands on activities. We have seen a steady decline in overall quality while they keep raising the price. Very disappointing. We will not tolerate another price hike.

We moved my mom here in July 2019. At the time the place was lovely with beautiful grounds, welcoming hallways, and excellent food. Things have really gone downhill since then. The hallways, while newly renovated and pretty, are now very sterile and institutional with no personal touches. The quality of the food is awful and the portion sizes wouldn't keep a bird alive. Mom has a ground floor apartment with a yard/garden. She can't enjoy it because of constant flooding problems and overgrown trees that need to be cut back. There are frequently problems with the elevators not working. The positives are the other residents, the activities and the staff.

So far we have been pleased with evergreen, especially certain staff members that made my mom's moving so much easier. What a difficult process especially for an out of state move...and Lindsey jett went 100 percent above and beyond to help me get my mom settled. I felt at ease with her and she made the process so much easier. The in home care staff is awesome too..(jessie). She really talks to my mom and offers help with things that are worrying her. The amenities and activities are great, and she enjoys not having to travel for church, haircuts etc. The grounds are nice and it feels like home for my mom, who is in independent living.

The day my father moved into his one bedroom apartment staff members made sure to stop by to interduce themselves and welcome him to his new community. My 90-year-old mom moved into Evergreen after having lived in the same home for 55 years. Though it was a tough decision to move her from her home, I'm so happy we did! She's in a beautiful, newly renovated 1-bedroom apartment with a beautiful view. The team is AMAZING!! From Natalie who helped me with the leasing process to Conner who assisted with a seamless move-in and connected me with experts to help my mom get comfortable and familiar with her new home...everyone has been SO helpful, responsive, compassionate and professional. I feel like we have a team and a new family. Couldn't be more grateful for the assistance we're receiving and for everyone there who's made this transition possible. I wanted to post a quick note about Evergreen. My dad moved in a little over a year ago, with some trepidation because change is not easy as we age - especially for him, as he is legally blind. He is still able to see somewhat fortunately, and lives in the Independent Living section. As we all know, it's been such a trying year, and that has made the potential for difficulty for him even greater. That's where the staff at Evergreen has made such an incredible difference. Not only did he feel very welcomed and "included" from the beginning, but the care and diligence during the pandemic has been fantastic. They truly do care about my dad, and it shows in their actions, not just their words. I am so very grateful for that! The communication on COVID updates, information and status has been excellent - another reason that we (his kids) feel as comfortable as we can during this time. We know he is in very safe hands. So a huge note of gratitude and appreciation to the entire staff!!

This is the worst place I have ever seen in my life, for a care facility. the CNA's walk around daily with a poor attitude and the RN on duty refused to get off her phone to address a family member. the CNA's walk around with bed scarf's on their hair. there is not enough staff the poor residents are treated like crap on a stick they yell at them. the place is unprofessional and poor quality care. most of the CNA's seem to be African American and to be quite frank they are ghetto and discusting excuses for hired professionals. the physical therapy staff are somewhat afraid of them. don't make a complaint it won't help get your loved one out of there RUN!! it's like a scary movie.

Our parents moved to a patio home at Evergreen in 2012 and have lived in all levels of Evergreen as their health and age changed. From the 'get go' when we meant Sharon Cranston to tour the community we have felt the support and guidance of the staff there. We looked at 4 different communities throughout Cincinnati and found Evergreen to be substantially more for your money in square foot and life style. Sharon immediately connected and understood our parents. When Sharon made that connection, it allowed us step back so they could make the decision rather than 'the kids' telling them where they needed to be. There are multiple options of 'home'...from studio apartments and larger apartments to patio homes with a garage, in home laundry and a fireplace. Independent living and Assisted Living are both available. Activities are plentiful, food is quite good and the grounds are beautiful. We have had many staff and residents who have gone and continue to go out of their way to welcome, support and guide Mom and our late Dad in their years there. Mom now lives in the Long Term Care wing, Wellspring, and it is a blessing to the whole family. We appreciate all the wonderful people at the Evergreen Community!

My dad recently moved to Evergreen. When they say "retirement community" that is exactly what that means. It's a beautiful complex of apartments and small houses. The grounds are beautifully kept, and my dad's apartment is actually a tad nicer than my own (except I believe that the view from the balcony in my apartment is a tad nicer).

My Mom has lived here for about 7 years. The grounds are well-maintained, but if you have a problem that needs addressing, wait a year or two. The establishment holds an outside event (rents out the facility) almost daily to line their coffers. They seem much more interested in that than serving long-term residents. If you are retired and still get around, go buy a condo and pay for cleaning and ground keeping and the occasional snow removal, and pocket about $2,500.00 each month.

Rehad My mother was sent to Wellspring for some rehab and that was a joke. The aids kept insisting on using a bed pan rather than using the restroom so she could get back to Evergreen. Most of the aids seem to have an attitude and were not very pleasant. This facility is very poor. I would not use this facility again.
