I was discharged after spending 2 months in the hospital into A Home of Our Own for rehabilitation. I could not walk and could only sit up with difficulty for maybe a minute or less. But it was quickly obvious I'd made the best possible choice. This place is fantastic and I lack adequate words to describe how welcoming, thoughtful and all-around wonderful the owner and staff are. My rehab progress has exceeded all expectations. I am well on my way to a better-than-full recovery, and care I've received here is the reason. Their skills, compassion, cheerfulness and inspiration are what's gotten me back on my feet. If you have a loved one who needs care, you will not find a better place. Take it from someone who arrived on a gurney and will be walking out with the biggest smile imaginable on my face.

Leaving your parent with strangers is one of the hardest thing you will do. A Home of Our Own was an incredible transition for my Mom. They truly were an answer to my prayers! The Director is great to work with and the staff cares for and helps your parent during their last years. Mom was there for several years and always had a smile on her face. They have delicious meals and take their guests out to the porch to enjoy the incredible garden/fountain/and front yard. The place was always clean and cheerful. Remember though...you are your parents best advocate! Be involved...love and nurture them to the end... they deserve it.

My great grandmother stays here and she absolutely loves it. When you visit, it's not just about her, but it's about including the family to have a good time visiting. All of the ladies that stay here are very lovely and kind and seem to get along together very well.
