My dad has been here for almost a year. The staff is very nice and he is well taken care of, he is able to do most everything himself. Our biggest complaint is the food. They have been through at least 2 kitchen managers since he's been here and nothing is getting better. They apologize and make promises but nothing happens. Sometimes it takes 2 hours to get served, they are not efficient, food is cold, portions are small, at times it is even inedible. The menus rarely change, they use the same options over and over. Prices just went up $400 per month, the food should be better.

My husband is at the best place. Facility home is clean. They really care for the residents and make each resident feel special. There is always fun activities going on all the time. The staff is loving, kind and professional. They communicate constantly with the family. Love this place and staff!

My husband has been at Brookdale for about three months. Their staff is amazing, they are kind, generous and understanding. They not only care about their residents but are supportive of the family members. I gave them five stars because they have been so kind and supportive. Kristin who is the director has reached out to us multiple times to make sure we are happy to ask if they can support us in any way. I feel like my husband is staying at the Ritz Carlton. Their meals are set up like a restaurant and their facility is beautiful. They have daily activities and make sure everyone is involved. We visited so many facilities and this was the best by far.

I toured Brookdale with my grandma. The staff was so nice and friendly. It was nice to see the staff interact with the patients. The building was very nice and clean. Thank you for a wonderful tour.

Having a grandmother who is 86 years old the things you value in assisted living are exactly what stands out about this facility. They all have happy positive attitudes on everyone's face even if they aren't having the best of days. The chef makes sure to come and ask if his cooking is exactly what she is wanting. Which is much more then she has had in the past. I moved her closer to us to be able to spend more time with her great granddaughter. I love that we can go and attend events with her. I'm happy to see more activities being added to the list since she's been there which is always a plus to keep her busy. Grandma loves walking around the building and another big moving point was the fact it's tucked back away from the main roads and craziness. She can enjoy walks without having to worry. I love that everyone is so understanding and willing to help if there's any concerns or issues and they will try to help resolve any problems they can. In the beginning we had a problem getting paperwork from her old facility and they went above and beyond to help! The cost of the room and the care she receives for the facility is very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Brookdale Wekiwa is a wonderful assisted living community. I came here after my husband passed because I didn't want to be alone. I've been here for 4 months now and not once have I felt lonely or alone. Activities, outings happy hour music and more. We have a great Activities Director, Liz, who is a lot of fun and has great ideas. The staff is great and they listen to and address concerns. I'm very happy here at Brookdale.

When you walk in the front door you just want to smile! It feels welcoming and happy! Watching the residents have a meal, it's like they are in a restaurant with excellent service. The staff is happy, caring and they go out of their way to help everyone! The community is just beautiful!

I have lived at Brookdale for over six months now. The time has gone by pretty quickly. I have settled in nicely with my cat "Baby". The real key for me is keeping myself busy. It is hard at first to get settled. But if you join activities and have meals in the dining room, it helps it get better. As you get to know people, you will see that basically everyone has gone through the same adjustment period. We have had some really nice activities lately, eg. we went to a hockey game, a farm with baby animals that we can hold and pet, picnics in the park and more. This week we are going on a fishing excursion to a local Iake and next week a waterfront picnic that I am really looking forward to; I am hoping we will get to go swimming. We also have a lot of activities in our living room, there have been some amazing entertainment here. Everyone loves "Happy Hour" which comes with drinks and appetizers. One of my favorite things to do is go shopping, and our resident van takes us once a week. We have also started going to church on Sunday and the van takes us there. New activities are being added all the time. Basically I think you will really enjoy yourself here at Brookdale. The staff are all wonderful, friendly, caring, kind and helpful. We also have a Resident Advocacy Group who purpose is to meet everyone here and see what they need to be comfortable We show you around and accompany you to meals if you like . We will also look for you when it is time for an activity. If a Resident has any questions or problems, they can talk to us and we will try to resolve it for you, which many times we can. I say "We" because I am the Lead Advocate of the group. I can assure you, I enjoy my life here. Lots of people around so you won't get lonely. The grounds here are beautiful with the welcoming tree lined driveway entry. There is a lovely patio out back with beautiful views. We have walkways which circle the entire building making it easy to walk. There is a Walking Club that you can join, who walks every morning. As Resident Advocate, I look forward to meeting you soon and helping you settle in. I personally enjoy living here and I do not think I want to go anywhere else. Come on in for a tour and you could talk to me then if you like.

Awesome to place to be. If you are looking for a place for you, mom or dad definitely check this place out. Always fun activities, games for residents, family friendly and the staff treat the residents love and respect. I highly recommend this place.

The PEOPLE at Brookdale Wekiwa Springs truly care for their residents and families. The smaller size and family feel of this community allows for very close relationships with the associates , residents, and family members. Getting in touch with management and having special requests heard is very easy at this community. Brookdale Wekiwa Springs truly offers a better and different story as compared to larger, new construction type senior living communities.

After deciding to place my mom in this community, I have been tremendously overwhelmed with how attentive and caring everyone is on a daily basis. My mom has been here for a little over 7 months now and time and again, I am assured that all of her extensive needs are taken care of. There is a new management team that really strives to make this the best community in Central Florida. Would recommend over and over!!
