We were looking for an assisted living facility for my 94 year old dad. We looked at several, and they were nice, but when we toured Hillcrest Royale and met the staff I knew this was the place for my dad. The staff is outstanding, and they have exceeded by expectations. Several of the staff have been there 15 plus years which tells you a lot. They are so kind and concerning for my dad. He now needs additional care which Hillcrest Royale is providing. I can see it in my dad's face, he is so happy living at Hillcrest Royale. It is a joy to see. My dad loves the staff and they love him. My dad is a very picky eater and he loves the food and looks forward to his 3 meals a day and also snack time. They have wonderful entertainment, which my dad enjoys listening to a live singer. His caregiver told me your dad was singing along. It is such a relief to know my dad is being taking care of and to know I made the correct decision with Hillcrest Royale.

This review is a long time coming. My mother moved into Hillcrest Royale two years ago and our family is more than pleased with her care. We wanted a family environment as opposed to a corporate setting. The staff has been nothing short of amazing in taking care of everyone now, and during the pandemic. I found out the staff sheltered in place for two weeks to protect the residents, they did not see their family or children during that time. That was truly unbelievable!! The residents were not locked in their rooms, and I was able to visit my mom outside with masks on and six feet apart.

My father moved here after no longer feeling safe in his house. Since hes been here, he has been extremely happy. The staff is always very kind and courteous. My father says that the activities are fantastic and varied. His favorites are the film appreciation class and a class he says is called Tales From Old Hollywood. Hes always busy with something, as their calendar is full of things to do. I honestly havent seen my father this happy in a very long time. Were all supremely happy with Hillcrest Royale.

I have come to learn the most important thing about finding the right facility for my mom was finding a place where the quality of care is phenomenal. This place is the best. Its so rare to find a family business these days that really cares to go the extra mile. Administrators are always accessible. I can sleep at night knowing my mom is well cared for.

Our family has placed two different loved ones at Hillcrest Royale over the last twenty years. At first, we spend months exploring different places available within our budget. But the most important consideration was quality of care. Not only did Hillcrest fulfill all our expectations, but it had the best value for our budget. Inga, the owner-manager, heads a staff that feels like family. The location is excellent within Thousand Oaks. The rooms we had were spacious, clean, and had views. The menus provided all kinds of options and there were kitchenettes in the rooms. Kaiser medical offices were across the street. There were a variety of activities available daily. The point is the same quality that we noticed twenty years ago still existed 7 years ago when we had another loved one move to Hillcrest. Inga still runs a family-feel business. Location, food, staff, and food still remain excellent. And I believe the value is still the best when you add up all the factors. Its never an easy decision to place someone in a new home, but in my opinion, Hillcrest can give a family a sense of trust and care. Nothing to us was more important. Thank You. Steven Benson

I have no complaints of how things are going for my mother since she made the move into this community. The staff have been attentive to her needs and I am comfortable with the care she has been receiving. She is enjoying the dinning experience and I have had the chance to try a few of the meals myself that where very tasty. Overall it has been a pleasant experience and we are pleased with how things are going.
