My mother spent time in the Retreat and we could not have been more grateful for the care that she received there. From the admissions staff who worked so diligently trying to get her a bed, when beds across the state seemed to be non-existent, to the PT staff, nursing and care staff, everyone we met was so helpful.

March 6, 2021 My husband, Peter, lived at Goldenview for nearly six years. He died of Covid this past January. January had the highest rate of deaths in the US through the entire period of the pandemic. Its not surprising that Peter would die at this time as his health was greatly compromised. Before the pandemic I would visit him twice a day. I always appreciated how open and welcoming all the staff and administrators of Goldenview were even though I would come at odd times. The nurses and direct staff were great. We worked hand-in-hand to give Peter good care and the feeling of home. The food was good and the kitchen would often cook special meals for the residents and their families. Activities were always happening. From bowling, to bingo, to Bistro dining. Of course all the Covid precautions were taken so there were changes for safetys sake. Rosemary Simino, the Administrator, always took the time to listen to any concerns that Peter and I had. I really appreciated that. I also appreciated all the attentive help we got from Maureen Vassel, Receptionist and Business Assistant, and Ann Blake, the Business Manager. I am currently a resident at The Retreat after being in the hospital for knee surgery a particularly difficult one. They showed much concern and caring over how my well-being was from getting out of bed to getting dressed or getting on the bathroom toilet anything that youre going to need to do at home did you cant do yet because of a joint replacement and you got nobody at home to help you all the time this is a great place to rehab. The physical therapy staff all right on point the nurse has a very nice the AIDS are super sweet and know what theyre doing you could tell by watching them and Ive seen them take great care and patience with difficult residence they do a very good job I would recommend this place for anybody

Our family could not be more grateful to the wonderful, caring staff at Golden View for all of the kindness that they showed our mother. They consistently showed such patience and respect to her and to all of their patients. Each and every staff member was professional, knowledgeable and understanding. We recommend this facility highly.

The Retreat was amazing for my Mom's recovery from hip surgery. The staff was kind and caring. The facilities immaculate. The care management team and the nursing staff are proactive and problem solvers. She went in for just the hip surgery, she came out with so much more. There were things the nurses and PCAs noticed that they brought to my attention and we worked together to improved her overall wellness. The staff that ran the cafe and delivered the food trays were so nice and helpful. The food was good. I would highly recommend them for post surgery care.
