I can't express in words how blessed I feel to have my Mama living at Independence Manor! My sister found Independence Manor after exploring several other similar facilities in the area. She was immediately impressed by the warmth and care the staff showed all the residents, speaking to each by name and inquiring about some special concern they might have had. Mama loves it! She has met wonderful friends there. The staff is always available and instantly responsive to anything she needs. Mama's room is fabulous with a nice view of the grounds. She often tells me about deer grazing near the trees. We enjoy sitting in the beautiful garden patio when I visit. She says the food is great. She once commented the she liked a broccoli salad, but that she preferred it with less dressing. The next time that salad was on the menu her portion had been set aside and lightly dressed. And it was delicious! Heidi, the nurse has been right there to answer questions about minor symptoms and has directed her to the doctor when needed. Mama is in such loving and capable hands. It is very reassuring to me when I live across the country. Independence Manor is very communicative. They always keep me in the loop with regular emails. The activities always sound fun. I often wish I were closer so the I could join in. I have also been grateful that staff listens and responds to any concerns I might have. Though really I just want to send my gratitude and well wishes. I couldn't recommend it more highly!

Independence Manor has been a wonderful place for my mother to be the past year and a half. The staff truly cares about her well-being and they are very responsive to her and to me. The facility is clean and beautiful. From the front desk person to the nurses and aids and to the management staff, I couldn't ask for a better spot for my mother to be.

My uncle has been living at Independence for over a year. He is so happy with everything! The staff is warm and friendly. They respond quickly with answers and help in anyway they can. The environment is also very comfortable. You are welcome to visit and they offer many places outside of the room to relax with your loved ones. They offer many activities for the residents also. Families are welcome to join the resident. I definitely recommend looking at Independence Manor for yourself or a loved one!

The staff from top to bottom at Independence Manor are all amazing and absolute angels. They took amazing care of my mother in her last years and I could not recommend any more highly. Their care and comfort for my mother are something I will always appreciate.

My father was a resident for a number of years at Independence Manor. His care was exceptional, the entire staff was caring and always went the extra mile to take care of him. Nurse Heidi, on the second floor, blatantly ignored an infection my mother had developed after a minor procedure. The area went without a dressing change from a Friday until the following Monday. My mother told Heidi that the area smelled and yet Heidi didn't even look at the area. Heidi had been instructed in person and via text messages of the necessity of bandage changes and was shown in person what to do by a P.A. from the office in which the procedure had been done. A nurse should not need to be shown how to do a simple bandage change but never the less she was. The billing department makes frequent "mistakes" and you should look at every detail on every invoice and statement. Quite a few people there have been overcharged and would not have known it, it's the residents family that needs to be diligent if the resident is not up to the task. The food is poor at best. Its bagged, processed junk food. In addition to poor quality food my mother, and many other residents , had become ill with diarrhea and vomiting at the same time for the same duration likely due to a problem with what they had just eaten. Line up in the hallway for your pills early! If you don't get in line by 7am you'll be there for about 2 hours, waiting. Theft is a problem here. Sorry but there is no getting around it. My mother had jewelry, perfume, clothing and a wall hanging stolen. It makes no difference if you lock your door when you go to get pills or a meal. The cleaning staff, maintenance and nurses have the key and help themselves. I do not recommend this place.

Everyone is super friendly. My great aunt looks amazing. The home is clean and everyone working and living there are happy and super nice. Got to sit and listen to the daily reading of the news in the living room with the residence - very peaceful.

Wow! Forget the Nursing Home Stigma...This place reminds me of I must have died and went to Nursing Home Heaven. Absolutely beautiful surroundings and well maintained and staffed. Kudos to the Nagle Family for creating a worry free space for our elderly loved ones!

Just over 1 year ago I brought my Mom to Independence Manor. My Mom is in advanced stage alzheimers and requires 24X7 care. I cant speak highly enough about the level of care she receives in the Manor House and the way the staff cares for her. I do not worry about her the way I used to when she was living at home. I know she is safe, clean, well fed, cared about and in a community where there is regular activity to keep her alert. Ivy, Napoleon, Armando, Marta, Nika, Pauline, and everyone else that helps to care for my Mom on a daily basis - thank you!! Independence Manor is outstanding in every way and Id absolutely recommend them if someone was considering a home for their loved one.

My family member just passed away. She was at Independence Manor for many, many years. During that time she moved from the assisted living to the Manor House. As she aged and her health started to fail, the staff at Independence Manor remained loving and gave her the best of care. Although wheelchair bound she never developed a bed sore. For me, that is a testament to the care she received. Angie, the manager of the facility, is so very involved and knows all the residents and families and works very hard to make sure that all the staff understand the level of care and attention that is expected. In almost a decade of living there the care never declined. I feel so lucky that she was at Independence Manor and the she was cared for with the love and attention she would have had if she could have lived with me.

I did a bagpipe presentation for a group here at Independence Manor. Everyone really enjoyed it and asked if I would come back again. I found everyone to be extremely friendly and nice and the residents seems very happy. The facility while not new looks new and it's very clean
